Rivers of tears were shed. Sleepless nights spent awake agonizing over a deep tragedy. Mrs. Yita Leah Steinmetz a’h, A respected woman who suffered endlessly, passed on to a better world on Tuesday, December 10 after 18 months of pain and suffering.
We are sure that after enduring a rare, painful form of cancer r’l, she arrived up there completely cleansed. But what will be with the innocent children she left behind?? How can we face them?
For 18 months, these children were “living orphans.” With a mother that was constantly being shuffled to & from the hospital, and a father that was working to pay the skyrocketing medical bills, while maintaining a vigil at his wife’s bedside, where were the children? They roamed from house to house missing out on the stability of a settled existence; a critical factor to the development of a child.
Unfortunately, after 18 months of confusion, the children were dealt a final blow. Their mother will not be returning home.

Little Boy Has a Close Call With a Tiger in Zoo
Rob Costelloe and his 7-year-old son Sean were checking out the tiger enclosure at Dublin Zoo in the Irish capital during a family visit on Sunday.
The boy has his back to the glass window, oblivious to the approaching feline, which twitched, raced towards him and then leapt towards him.
The pane of glass was enough to keep the full-sized Siberian tiger at bay but the boy got a fright and bystanders got a laugh.

Most Expensive Dreidel - Guinness World Records
Estate Diamond Jewelry was named as having the most expensive dreidel after handcrafting their own worth $70,000.
Before handcrafting this dreidel, they searched through 100’s of dreidel designs. Most of the contemporary artistic deviations didn’t seem faithful enough to the “classic dreidel design” and so it was decided that they would have to try to find the design inspiration themselves.
The final design was heavily inspired by the Chrysler Building, which is only a few blocks away from the Estate Diamond Jewelry showroom.
The diamond-encrusted script of the Hebrew characters (Nun, Gimmel, Hey, and Shin) are formal and are more similar to the Hebrew characters found in the Torah Scroll than the characters typically used in traditional modern Hebrew writing.
The bottom of the Dreidel has a rounded bezel (instead of a squared bezel) in order to heighten the important 4.20-carat diamond that is set within.
As of November 27th, 2019, the dreidel was officially recognized by Guinness World Records as the most valuable dreidel in the world.

As a child, Yaakov Rosenblatt was a soloist in the Miami Boys Choir. Later, he sang backup vocals on some albums for Mordechai Ben David. Recently, he was featured as a soloist on the Pittsburgher Chasidim Albums.
Yaakov, who now resides in Los Angeles, California, is releasing his debut single in time for Chanukah titled Al Hanisim - In thanks and appreciation to G-d for the miracles that He performed to save the Jewish people from the mighty Assyrian-Greeks. One of the songs Dovy performed was the hit song “Shabbos Shalom” composed by R’ Cheskie Weisz off this all-star hit album Lev El Haneshama released earlier this year.
This very special Kumzits took place in the beautiful Villa Hotel on Motzei Shabbos, and captured in stunning high quality video for you all to enjoy.
Dovy was accompanied by the talented Neranena Choir from Israel to perform this song that will leave you looking forward to Shabbos each and every day.
One of the highlights of the trip was the visit in the beautiful ancient Jewish quarter of the city of Marrakesh. Once a lively bustling hub of Yiddishkeit that numbered thousands of pious religious Jews, the Jewish quarter is now sadly desolate of the once thriving Jewish community. The streets still bear testimony to their holy past and for just this one shabbos the Jewish flame on Rechov Talmud Torah, where the Slat Al Azama Shul which was built back in 1492 still stands in all it’s glory,

Jews Flock to Axe-throwing Self Defense Class
Members of Williamsburg's Jewish community tried to take their safety into their own hands on Monday, as they attended axe-throwing self-defence classes in New York City, in the wake of the recent deadly anti-Semitic shooting in Jersey City.
The classes are led by former NYPD officer and martial arts expert Gary Moskowitz, known as 'Rabbi Sensei,' and are designed to teach attendees how to handle a variety of weapons, including axes and spears, as well as how to respond to physical attacks and protect themselves.
Moskowitz explained that his motivation to start the classes was the rise in anti-Semitic attacks, stating that "Synagogues have Nazi swastikas painted on it here, people are cursing at us because we a Jewish, people punch us. Then it goes to terror where people shoot at us and try to kill our children."
The 62-year-old reportedly started the 'counter-terrorism' class for the Orthodox community in wake of the kosher market attack in where four people were killed in Jersey City on December 10.

Elephants Arrive and Help Themselves For Breakfast
Astonishing footage has captured the moment a family of elephants invaded a hotel breakfast buffet as terrified tourists watched on.
The clip, filmed in an open-air dining room in Zambia, shows an elephant investigating a table piled with cups of tea and coffee at the back of the room.
Another soon joins its companion under the thatched shelter, with a young calf running behind the pair.
One of the giant animals reaches across the group of frightened American tourists with its trunk to hoover up toast and jam from their plates.
It knocks over cups of coffee in the process, as the young elephant also approaches the table and searches the surface for food.
The three elephants then move around the table, and the tourists sit bolt upright and extremely still in apparent fear of drawing attention to themselves.
But the animals pay them little notice, instead focusing their efforts on the bread baskets sitting in front of them.

Thousands Pack the Streets for Funeral Jersey City Victims
Thousands flooded the streets Wednesday night to mourn two of the victims killed after two assailants opened fire at a kosher market in Jersey City.
In Jersey City, crowds of men in black hats surrounded the casket of Mindy Ferencz in the Jersey City neighborhood of Greenville at the site of a synagogue under construction. Hundreds of women, separated from the men as per Orthodox Jewish tradition, were standing in the bitter cold sobbing.
Meanwhile, hundreds of people gathered outside the Satmar Shul orthodox synagogue in Brooklyn to mourn 24-year-old Moshe Deutsch.
As the funeral for Ferencz and Deutsch took place, investigators were still trying to determine what motivated the pair of shooters, who were also killed, to carry out Tuesday's attack.
One of the assailants of the deadly attack in Jersey City market has been linked to the Black Hebrew Israelites movement, The New York Times reported Wednesday.
The shooter, David N. Anderson, appears to have a connection to the movement but the extent of his involvement in that group is unclear,
The Black Hebrew Israelite movement is best known for its confrontational brand of street preaching in urban areas but it has a complex history in the United States, with sects and branches splintering over theological and leadership disputes. Scholars say what unites most Black Israelites is the belief that African Americans are the true descendants of biblical Jews.
Some members have expressed anti-Semitic sentiments in the past.

The mayor of Jersey City said Wednesday it's clear that the gunmen in a furious shooting that left six people dead targeted a Jewish market.
Mayor Steven Fulop refused to call it an anti-Semitic attack but said surveillance video shows the gunmen driving slowly through the city's streets, and then stopping outside a kosher grocery store where they calmly got out of their van and immediately opened fire.
Neither the state attorney general, who is running the investigation, nor any other law enforcement authority has confirmed the shooters targeted Jews. City Public Safety Director James Shea said Tuesday that terrorism wasn't suspected.
A police officer, three bystanders and two suspects all died in the violence Tuesday afternoon in Jersey City, just across the Hudson River from New York City.

Man Arrested After Anti-Semitic Rant
A Queens man is under arrest for an apparent anti-Semitic incident that took place at the Five Towns Costco.
Nassau County Police said Justin Pichizaca, 20, threatened two men and an 11-year-old with violence and yelled slurs at them based on their religion.
Pichizaca had nothing to say as Nassau County Police escorted him from headquarters Tuesday, but police said he had plenty to say Sunday inside the Costco on Rockaway Turnpike in North Lawrence. He was caught on video threatening physical violence. The victims were shaken to the core and posted the video on social media.
Avrumi Fridman said he was in the men’s room at Costco when Pichizaca yelled “[expletive] Jew, the Nazis are gonna finish you off” at him.

Driver Sentenced After Crash That Killed Chosson Kallah
Emotions ran high in court Tuesday as two drivers were sentenced for mowing down a young, newly engaged couple.
Yisroel Levin, 21, and Elisheva Kaplan, 20, perished in a crash just days after announcing their wedding plans.
The newly engaged couple was leaving a Passover celebration in April of 2018 when their vehicle exploded on the Nassau Expressway in Inwood after being rammed by cars driven by Rahmel Watkins and Zakiyyah Steward.
Watkins and Steward had been racing, speeding up to 100 mph at 2 a.m., bound for a Queens casino.

The newly engaged couple was leaving a Passover celebration in April of 2018 when their vehicle exploded on the Nassau Expressway in Inwood after being rammed by cars driven by Rahmel Watkins and Zakiyyah Steward.
Watkins and Steward had been racing, speeding up to 100 mph at 2 a.m., bound for a Queens casino.

Man Dances with Death Trying to Warn Oncoming Drivers
Footage of a desperate man trying to warn oncoming drivers about a multi-car pile up on the highway ahead has gone viral
Three people were reportedly seriously injured in the incident, including an 87-year-old woman.
The man at the center of the footage can be seen desperately trying to warn oncoming drivers to slow down, but his efforts are in vain as they are driving too fast to avert disaster, with many of them crashing into the ever-growing pile of damaged vehicles in the background.
The pile-up reportedly involved 21 cars in just 30 minutes before authorities could bring the situation under control.
The pile-up was caused by patches of notoriously dangerous black ice, which South Korean media refer to as “road mines,” at the intersection of the Dongyangpyeong Expressway and the Gwangju Wonju Expressway near the capital, Seoul.
Black ice is a thin coating of glaze ice which forms on the surface of roads and is practically invisible to drivers, which makes it particularly dangerous on highways where vehicles travel at higher speeds. To counteract the danger, drivers are typically advised to use snow chains or fit snow tires to their vehicles to provide more traction and thus avoid such dangerous pile ups.

Moshe Holtzberg Celebrates His Bar Mitzvah
Moshe Holtzberg, who was orphaned in the Mumbai Chabad center massacre that took the lives of his parents 11 years ago this week, was called to the Torah for the first time in his hometown of Afula, Israel, on Shabbat and celebrated his bar mitzvah on Sunday evening at a gala affair in Kfar Chabad, surrounded by friends and family, including the grandparents who raised him and the nanny who saved his life.

In a shocking video that was posted on social media on Sunday, Left-wing Israelis from the “Peace Now” organization began booing a speaker, Meir Hirsch from the radical Neturei Karta sect, who was addressing the gathered crowd at the Mukata in Ramallah during a peace conference.
Hirsch, who was invited and honored by Fatah, had said that the entire country of Israel, its very existence breaks international law and that the only way to combat it is through the BDS movement. Hirsch also stated that Zionists have no right to represent the Jewish people.
The Peace Now activists began booing Hirsch while he was talking and needed to be called to order by the organizers of the event. One Neturei Karta follower in the crowd shouted back at the Peace Now activists saying: “You smelly left-wing liars, you also participated in the butchery. You did it.”

Yaakov Singer - Nodeh Lacha/Thank You Hashem
Rabbi Yaakov Singer is no stranger to Jewish music. As a young boy he participated in the first Pirchei Choir album conducted by Rabbi Eli Teitelbaum A”H. Growing up, he was always involved in music, inspired by the cantorial greats of yesteryear, attending their cantorial services, serving as an accomplished Baal Tefilla, singing at simchos, while also composing his own niggunim and Nusach Hatfilah compositions.
A year ago, Reb Yaakov experienced unparalleled Siyatta Dishmaya in a very difficult life crisis situation. The Yad Hashem was clearly evident and tangible throughout, which eventually led to a successful conclusion. One morning while driving home from learning, he began thinking about the good fortune Hashem bestowed upon him. Spontaneously, there awoke in him tremendous feelings of gratitude and cause for thanks to Hashem, which his heart poured out in song. Thus, the song Nodeh Lecho was born.
At that time Rabbi Singer was completing a book dedicated to the legacy of his parents’ life. He thought, why not record Nodeh Lecho and release the song along with the book at the upcoming family gathering. Soon after Reb Yaakov contacted his friend Eli Wax, a popular musician whom he had known for many years, and asked him if he could help produce the song professionally. After many weeks of hard work, a sixteen-minute production was completed, sung and recorded in various versions. One hundred CDs of the song were produced and distributed to family members and friends. Receiving positive feedback, Rabbi Singer decided it was finally time to start releasing his niggunim to the greater Jewish world.

Fuel Truck Crash in Brazil
A tanker truck exploded after being involved in a car accident and tragically proved fatal to its driver. The accident happened on the morning of Monday, May 18, 2019 on the Tamoios Highway, on the north coast of São Paulo.
The video caught the moment of the explosion. The flames spread rapidly and almost immediately reach the other side of the highway. An unidentified person appears running between the vehicles.

In Brazil, after driving a dump truck loaded with clay, a pit of two meters deep formed on the roadway, into which a passenger car immediately fell.
The incident occurred on Tuesday, November 19, in the settlement of Rio Grande do Sul. According to the local TV channel R7 , the driver and passenger of the trapped car escaped with minor injuries.

An Orthodox Jewish man is in critical condition after being stabbed this morning in Monsey,
he victim was walking to Bais Medrash around 5:40 a.m. when he was attacked in front of 2 Howard Drive.
The victim allegedly told first responders that two men drove up to him, assaulted him, and then stabbed him multiple times before driving away. The victim then went unconscious and was taken to Westchester Trauma Center where he underwent emergency surgery.
