HIGHLIGHTS: Belz Business Expo "Zeh MiZeh" - 2024

After a resounding success a few years ago, the new Business Expo by the Belzer Kehillah came back bigger and better. This year’s expo, called התפרנסו זה מזה, took place on January 9, 2024, at the new Belz Cheder hall building in Boro Park.

While the first expo was designated for the Boro Park businesses and resident, the new expo was the biggest business networking event for the Chassidus, and it was more inclusive as well, encompassing the entire Chassidus from Brooklyn, Monsey, Lakewood and Staten Island.

Building on the successes of other expos held by different Chassidic groups, this year’s expo has been developed and enhanced with the latest technological aids to help members of the Chassidus, with a focus on jobs and trade. The first expo's attendance exceeded all expectations, with numerous booths being added at the last minute. Attendance this year is expected to exceed last year’s, as the expo has now been proven to help businessmen network and create more business opportunities.

An important facet of the expo is that it had the full backing from the Belzer Rebbe, shlit”a, who sent a letter, back then, expressing his support. The idea of a kehilla business expo is an astounding testament to the strength of the Kehillah, as it has developed its own flourishing economy and members are ready to help and support each other, both in business networking and in job creation.

Drone Videos From Gur And Belz Chupahs

Two gigantic weddings took place in Jerusalem Tuesday, as both the Belzer Rebbe and the Gerer Rebbe married off grandchildren in their respective Batei Midrash which are both situated in the Romema district of Jerusalem just 500 meters apart.

The Gerer wedding took place first, as tens of thousands congregated on Yirmiyahu street near the famous Beis Midrash of Gur. A gallery of illustrious rabbis, including Rabbi Yitzchak Zilberstein, Rav Yitzchak Yosef, the Boyaner Rebbe and Rabbi Yisrael Meir Lau participated in the chupa, as the crowd burst into song immediately afterwards.

The Belz wedding took place in the evening, as thousands of chasidim gathered near the Beis Midrash and rejoiced with the Rebbe, his son Rav Aharon Mordechai and grandson, the eighth grandchild to be married.

The celebration moved after the chupa to the huge Arena center in the south of Jerusalem, where the meal and Mitzva Tanz took place. The chasidim were gratified to see the rebbe dance with them after he underwent significant back surgery just two months ago.

The Belz wedding was also attended by prominent litvish rabbis, including Aterest Yisrael rosh yeshiva Rabbi Boruch Mordechai Ezrachi (who also participated in the Gur wedding) and Rabbi Moshe Hillel Hirsch, rosh yeshiva of Slabodka.

Yisrael Adler - Sheyibaneh - Belz Simcha

During the recent Belzer simcha, Yisrael Adler was invited to sing at an exclusive sheva brachos celebration attended by select philanthropists from overseas at the home of sponsor Rabbi Refael Herzog from Montreal.

At the sheva brachos, cantor and singer Yisrael Adler sang a special grammen, while the Belzer Rebbe listened carefully to the touching rendition.

When the Rebbe got home later, he lavished praise on Yisrael Adler's presentation and asked to invite him again—this time not to an intimate affair, but to the mass sheva brachos celebration in the huge tent erected in the Belzer neighborhood in Yerushalayim for the throngs of chassidim who've come from all over the world for the simcha.

The Rebbe asked Yisrael Adler to sing the famous chazzanus piece "Sheyibaneh beis hamikdash" composed by cantor Yisrael Shor, which has become renowned worldwide with cantor Moshe Kosvitzki's moving rendition of this song.

Yisrael Adler stood singularly with his Gerrer spodek near the Belzer choir, and at the fore stood the legendary Belzer music maestro R' Yirmiyahu Damen, who joined in at this stirring part.

Belzer Rebbe's Historic Visit to Montreal

Article by YWN - The Belzer Rebbe's historic visit to Montreal began with the arrival to the Outremont section of Montreal on Tuesday, May 1, at about 5:30pm. Thousands of Chassidim traveled from all over the Tri-State area to be with the Rebbe along with the large Belzer Kehilla that lives in Montreal.

Since the Rebbe arrived, there was a massive Kabolas Ponim, Hachnosas Sefer Torah, Lag BaOmer fire and dancing, and of course the Shabbos tefillos and Tishen. There are approximately 500 Belzer families in Montreal. The first few days of the trip were for all Belzer Chassidim to participate. From Shabbos until Wednesday, the Rebbe spent with the Belzer Kehilla of Montreal. Visiting the Batei Midrashim, the Cheder, and the homes of the leading supporters and Askonim.

The Belzer Rebbitzen accompanied her husband on the trip, where she has been spending time with the women of the Kehillah.

The Rebbitzen is a very special woman, who has thousands of people flocking to her for words of Chizuk and inspiration. The Rebbitzen is a daughter of the late Viznizter Rebbe of Bnei Brak, and a sister to the two Viznitzer Rebbes (Rav Yisroel and Rav Mendel), as well as a sister to the wives of the Satmar Rebbe of Kiryas Yoel Rav Ahron, and the Skverer Rebbe.

The Rebbe and his family left Montreal on Wednesday, May 9, flying first to Belz, Ukraine, visiting there the Kevarim of the previous Belzer Rebbes, ahead of the wedding of his grandson.
