Akiva Gelb | Hashem I am Worthy of YOU being with ME!

We constantly hear songs with the following words: "Father/Hashem, I want to be close to you! I need you!" etc. Akiva Gelb glanced one Shabbos afternoon at the holy words by David Hamelech, Emor LeNafshi, tell my soul that even if I feel far from you I shall feel that your desire is to be close to me, inspired by the words from Esther: "Vetoivu Ani Be'Einav" which in essence is Hashem's response to every one of us: "It is 'good' for 'me' (Hashem) to be with you."

Akiva Gelb took this personally and felt the importance of spreading this beautiful encouraging message to Klal Yisroel. That no matter where we find ourselves, even in the most challenging and seemingly darkest places, it is always "good" for Hashem to be "there" with us. It is His desire to be with you, you, and you.

This led Akiva to compose this beautiful song and right away called David Taub, who arranged the stirring music and choir, and Gershy Schwarcz, who together with Benhesh, captured the essence of our desire for Hashem's closeness to us in motion picture. (Video for those who read plain English)

Remember! Hashem's presence is never far away. Your situation, your location doesn't matter; Hashem's love for you is unchanging.

Nachmu Ami ft Akiva Gelb & Zalmen Leib Friedman

Tisha B'av and the 3 Weeks, the Bein Hamitziruim is a time that we mourn and cry after losing the holiest place on earth, after losing the Beis Hamikosh, the place where Hashem lived and held himself up and had it for his home, and after our misbehavior with not treating one another with honesty and dignity, Hashem was forced to destroy his palace and leave from between us.

But right after, Hashem told for the נביא, go and tell my people "נחמו עמי" go and calm them, and with these holy words the נביא came and gave over everything Hashem said and promised the Yidden. Then the פסוק in נביא says, everyone went out to the מדבר and it was ונגלה כבוד ה', the פסוק explains how everyone saw clearly Hashem's hand in everything!

Being composed by the young talented Avrum Shlomo Friedman, that besides spending his days on sitting and learning sometimes has some extra few minutes to give out his talents, and at a recent Shabbes Seudah at home young Avrum Shlomo started to sing this song, some guests that had participated including Aron Elya Friedman (AFnote) saw lots of potential in this amazing song and reached out to Producer Gershy Schwartz to take care on the rest, and that's where talented singer Akiva Gelb (that actually has a long time relationship with the Friedman Family, being beloved by everyone and had lots of Simches done as the singer) was involved in the picture as the production group reached out to him to be featured on the song as lead vocalist.

Akiva Gelb & Chesky Schwartz collected some of today’s famous hits and with the help of Avrumy Lunger the producer, they recorded 25 minutes of amazing sound in one take.

Then Akiva teamed up with his good friend Gershy Schwarcz who mixed and polished it up (and even threw in some Yiddish lyrics on Beri Weber’s famous Aguda Achas song composed by Sruly Lipschitz in his One Heart) Album.

Talented Singer Akiva Gelb is just about to release his debut album on which he gets us to know a bit of his true color of art, by featuring 9 beautiful songs all composed by himself in the past year's.

Kivi is well known with his sweet and smooth voice with ability to touch the strings in depth of anyone's heart, when he sits down to the piano the melody's just start flowing by itself, you don't need my consent, just buy the new album and convince yourself.

For the music on this album Kivi collaborated with new fast rising star Yeedle Rosenfeld to do the full arrangements for the album,

For the video we had in plan traveling to Israel with the musicians and choir to film, we wanted to bring you the feel of every Yid's Neshamah singing to Hashem, what better way is there then to actually perform a Kumzitz in Yerushaleiyim or at the Kever Rachel. But Hashem had other plans in store for us, and because of the COVID-19 Pandemic and the forbidden travel laws we couldn't make it to there. So we entered the local Flowmotion studios that offered us the possibility of still giving you the same feel even without having to travel, by filming on Green Screen!

Akiva Gelb - Ah Yiddeleh - Music Video

Recently, Akiva was inspired to write a song. This isn’t the first time Gelb has composed a song, but this is the first time he is releasing it to the public along with his first music video.

The song titled “Ah Yiddeleh” talks about how some of us feel empty sometimes. We don’t feel connected to Hashem and we are overwhelmed with our daily lives. Things seem to go wrong more often than not and it’s just too hard. We are all begging our father in heaven “Al Tasteir Ponecho Mimeni.” Hashem is always there, and during the Yomim Noroim is the perfect time to ask him to please reveal himself and help us. May we all have a Shana Tova U’mesuka and may we all be inscribed in the book of life, parnassah, health, shidduchim and refuah.
