In honor of the yartzeit of the heileger Skulener Rebbe Z”TL, we are proud to present a special medley featuring some of his compositions. These deep melodies combined with the sweet voices of Yiddish Nachas, accompanied by the Shira Choir, with beautiful arrangements written by Tzvi Blumenfeld and performed by Mendy Herskowitz & the Sababa Band is guaranteed to uplift you!

May the inspiration drawn from these holy songs be a zechus for his neshama.

Performed live on July, 6 2020 at the Bonei Olam 'Alone' event in PA, this video features a collection of songs from the newly released Skulen-Nachas album, featuring some of the most famous Skulener nigunim reimagined.

When Brooklyn Jewry gathered for a special event to benefit Chesed of Williamsburg, they were treated to a spellbinding live performance of Shoshanas Yakov, a complex piece of kaleidoscopic musicality by the late, legendary composer R' Lipa Lajosh Z"L.

Watch as Shira’s skilled maneuvering meshes with the sweet, cherubic voices of the Yingerlech children's choir, conducted by the inimitable R' Shiya Rosen.

In perfect harmony and with counterbalancing beauty, this vocal philharmonic explores the song’s fluid dynamism across multiple scales and modes. Tempos ebb and flow, all in flawless time.

Rounding out this performance is none other than the masterfully orchestrated Sababa Band, led with studio-grade accuracy by the one and only Mendy Herskowitz.

Brivele - Motty Ilowitz - Sand Art - Sababa - Shira

This song “Brivele” – "בריוועלע" became an instant and widespread hit. The lyrics describe the concept and connection of the ‘Tehilim’ with such depth and emotion, and the melody is just overwhelmingly toucing and fitting.

The song was written and composed by Motty Ilowitz, and was originally released vocally on Motty Steinmentz’s first album. Now, we represent to you this stunning piece performed live - at the recent Bonei Olam dinner - by the composer, Motty Ilowitz, himself, accompanied by the magnificent Sababa Band and The Shira Choir and with the twist of the talented Sand-Artist Ahron Bernstein, from Israel.

Yidi Bialostozky - Meine Tefillin - Sababa - Lev Choir

Meine Tefillin is a musical masterpiece composed and written by Lipa Schmeltzer. It was recorded by Avraham Fried on his album Ah Mechayeh and was arranged by Avremi G.

Blessed with a powerful sensational voice, rare vocal control and unique performing abilities, Yidi gives this song an unmatched performance.

The Musical accompaniment by the Sababa Band led by Mendy Hershkowitz, and rich vocal enhancement by the Lev Choir gives this song the perfect feel.

Yidi has recently taken the market by storm, infusing energy at weddings, leading emotional chuppahs, and charismatically transforming dinners and upscale events, alongside the biggest names in Jewish music.

This song was performed live at a recent Sheva Brachos at the Brightstone hall.

Tzadikim - Shmaya Fischer, Sababa Band, Shira Choir

In honor of the upcoming Yom Tov of Shavuos when Moshe Rabeinu gave us the Torah, Shmaya Fischer presents the magnificent song "Tzadikim", a beautiful melody that has never been recorded live.

Shmaya is a rising star in the Chassidishe music scene. Many of you have been hearing about his incredible voice. Shmaya is blessed with vocals that are powerful, yet hartzig and sweet at the same time. After watching this incredible performance, it will be clear that he is living up to all of the hype. The amazing Sababa Band executed the song to perfection, along with the sweet harmonies of the Shira Choir.

"Tzadikim" was composed by Moshe Wertzberger originally recorded by Yaakov Shwekey, originally from the album "Ad Bli Dai", released in 2009. The magnificent lyrics were written by Motty Illowitz. This live performance was recorded at the Annual Chessed Appreciation event at Ateres Avraham in Williamsburg.

Here is another exciting Sababa wedding clip that will keep you on the edge of your seats! This unique Funk medley was performed during the dinner at a recent wedding at Ateres Chynka with the Sababa Band and the rising star Moshe Tischler!

Charity comes in many forms. At this year’s annual Chesed Williamsburg appreciation event, Shira Choir & Sababa Bad showed one such kind of goodwill: honoring the gathered community with a spellbinding rendition of Keil Odoin.

This lively, optimistic melody became a classic the moment it was composed by the inimitable, irreplaceable R’ Bentzion Shenker Z"L, that great voice-maker of the Modzitzer dynasty. Here, Shira’s two-tier vocal lineup explores the song’s rich landscape, thumping across its soft-march terrain; swinging through its upbeat disco chorus; and harmonizing its climactic staccato interlude.

The crowd sits electrified, eyes glued to the sights and sounds. The entire performance rides on the impeccable instrumentation of an expanded Sababa Band, led by the multi-talented Mendy Hershkowitz, with musical arrangement courtesy of Avremi G.

Bitchu Bashem - Sababa Band feat. Shmueli Ungar

Last Summer, Shmueli Ungar was scheduled to perform together with MBD in a major show with Haminagnim in Eretz Yisroel. Sadly, there were terror attacks in the form of rockets flying in very close to where the concert was scheduled to be. The police, due to safety issues decided the show needs to be canceled. 

Upon arriving back to America, Shmueli was discussing a Chupa they had that night with Mendy Hershkowitz of Sababa Band. Mendy asked him the complete story as he had only heard bits and pieces, during the conversation the idea came up to do a song together. Shmueli, echoing his thoughts about this recent story, settled on the words, "Bitchu Bashem" for a concept. 

No matter what happens, no matter the curves life throws our way, Hashem is the one in charge, all we have to do is keep the faith. Together with composer Hershey Weinberger and his producer, Naftali Schnitzler the super team joined together to create the upcoming single and video you are about to enjoy.
