Sometimes, when a new song comes out, the first thought is, wow, this will be the next Chuppah classic. This beautiful Chuppah medley features three songs that fit this bill.

“Laasos Retzonecha" by Yaakov Rosenblum, has quickly become a go-to for so many Chassanim and Kallas when walking down the aisle. “Mi Bon Siach", by Simcha Leiner, is quite frequently the choice Mi Bon Siach sung as the Kallah encircles her Chosson seven times. "Hayom" by Mordechai Shapiro immediately rose to the top among songs for walking down, and it has retained its position.

Avraham Rosenberg & Tzivos Hashem Boys Choir 1981

Avraham Rosenberg leading a group of boys, named the Tzivos Hashem Boys Choir, at the Lubavitcher Rebbe's Kos Shel Bracha, on Motzei Simchas Torah 5742/1981.

Avraham Rosenberg shortly after this event occurred, went on to form the legendary group, The Tzlil Vizemer Boys Choir.

Shloime Dachs, one of the most popular child soloists of that era, can be seen here singing solos to "Wake Up Yidden" and again towards the end to "Ve'ahavta'.

Those that were there will remember that the Rebbe ZY"A didn't seem to give special attention to the choir, until the very end when they concluded, and the Rebbe asked Yossi Piamenta OBM for the group to return and continue singing. As can be seen on the clip, those last few minutes, past two o'clock in the morning in 770, were something very special.

Shmuel Borger passed away yesterday.

Below is a rare clip of the well known Amudai Shaish Boys Choir, directed by Shmuel Borger, live in concert, circa 1980. Featuring child soloist Shloime Dachs.

Earlier today, Shloime sang the Keil Maleh Rachamim, at Reb Shmuel's Levaya.

Israel Day Concert In Central Park 2014

Though not officially affiliated with the annual Celebrate Israel Parade, the Israel Day Concert is how thousands of parade-goers finish their day With a star-studded musical program

Emceed by New York radio personality Nachum Segal, the concert line-up itself was a veritable who's who of Jewish musical acts. Arranged by musical director Zvika Bornstein, artists included but weren't limited to Israeli headliner Gad Elbaz, Lipa Schmeltzer the Shloime Dachs Orchestra & Singers,  Edon Pinchot and Orthodox Jewish hip-hop artist Ari Lesser. Also of note was a performance Elron Zabatani (a resident of the Muslim Quarter of Jerusalem's Old City) sang, accompanied by Israeli pianist Shlomi Aharoni, an alumnus of the IDF's prestigious Rabbinical Band and Choir.
