Since winning Israel's Channel Two "School of Music" or "“Beit Sefer L’Musica" junior talent show competition of 2012, 13-year-old Mishel Cohen turned into a singing sensation wonder-child all over the country. A year later he finally released his first single "לרגע הרגשתי גיבור" "For a moment i Felt like a Hero" which was eventually released on his debut album.
The song was written especially for Mishel by Ohr Cohen, and describes the experiences of Mishel over that year, from the time he was crowned winner of the 2012 competition.
At the age of 14, in contrast to the the typical daily routine of a boy that age, Mishel appeared across the country at special events and occasions. He performed at the Israeli basketball championship in Nokia Tel Aviv, with the Philharmonic at Hangar 11, Independence Day at the President's House, at Bar Mitzvos for needy children in the Knesset, at an event in Yad Vashem and many others.
Now at 16, Mishel continues to study and play like anyone his age, and of course he hasn't stopped singing.
"לרגע הרגשתי גיבור" released Jan 28, 2013.
