“Zamer” is the newest release from Yitzy Kaplowitz and Ari Goldwag, part of the two-song EP Zamer / Talmidei Chachamim, featuring music that celebrates the beauty and koach of limud haTorah.
While learning Daf Yomi, Yitzy was inspired by the words “Zamer B’chol Yom” found in Sanhedrin Daf 99.
Together with Ari, he composed this uplifting song that reminds us that every moment of Torah learning creates a unique melody that fills the world. Each of us sings our own special song through our limud Torah. The more we immerse ourselves in learning, the sweeter and stronger that song becomes.
Our yegiah baTorah doesn’t just refine us — it creates lasting impact in this world and in the Olam HaEmes.
This song is dedicated in honor of Aviva Malka bas Leah Krainess - may it be a zchus for a refuah shelema!

The title track of Ari Goldwag’s latest album, a duet with Zevi Kaufman, speaks of the secret weapon of our soldiers which is in our spiritual power, as represented by the power of tefillin, which so many soldiers are using in their battle, and our sages say causes the nations to fear us. Zevi brought this concept to Ari and it forms the core of the song.
Ari composed the intro section of the song ״בעזרת ה׳ ננצח״ at the request of the soldier Elisha Loewenstern 3 weeks into the war of חרבות ברזל. He asked for a song which would help strengthen the soldiers in their עבודת ה׳ as it manifests in their battle in Gaza. 6 weeks later Elisha Hy'd fell in battle. We decided to connect this theme with the tefillin battle song, and to dedicate the song in Elisha’s memory. Elisha’s son Eitan Loewenstern features in the music video.

Like everyone else here in Israel, we here in Beit Shemesh were running back and forth from Hakafos to shelter as the sirens were blaring. It was hard to focus on the words we were saying. Afterwards it became clear how important those words were, and they form the foundation of this song. It is our humble contribution to the Jewish people during this difficult time. Let us strengthen ourselves in kindness and in prayer.
It is especially meaningful to all of us here in Eretz Yisrael how much of an outpouring of support there is - not only within Israel for the soldiers - but from outside of Israel from those around the world who are asking about our welfare and sending concrete aid. This song is a duet between a resident of Israel (Ari Goldwag) and a resident of the United States (Yitzy Kaplowitz). We know it is a tremendously difficult time, but this is a time of prayer and nothing moves us like music does.
In the very first week of the war, I was asked to sing and inspire (as I've done in the past) at Yeshivat Shaalvim, here in Israel. I would like to thank the Rosh Yeshiva, Rav Ari Waxman for his permission to film the bochurim singing this new song, and for their willingness to be included in the video.

Ari Goldwag proudly presents a brand new single - BiYerushalayim. The song brings the Posuk form Yeshayahu to life which speaks of the return of those lost in Assyria and Egypt who make their way to the Holy Mountain - the Temple Mount, in order to bow to Hashem in Jerusalem. Filmed in Jerusalem, with special locations pointed out by R' Yehuda Levi, who also took part in the filming, the song and video contains breathtaking footage of scenes of the Holy Mountain itself, both in its current state, and also a glimpse of how it looked in the times of the Second Temple, nearly 2000 years ago.
The video also includes footage (before and after the song) from Ari's presentation of the song to the Yanuka, Rav Shlomo Yehuda Bari, who is not only known for his incredible erudition in the breadth and depth of the Torah, but is also a gifted musician. Ari had asked for a blessing from the Yanuka for inspired songs, and in the days that followed, composed over 30 new melodies. He came back to the Yanuka with this song - BiYerushalayim - and presented it to the Yanuka. As can be seen from the film itself, Rav Bari enjoyed the song, and blessed it with success.

Yehuda goes on an adventure to find a shining butterfly, and in the process comes across shimmering caterpillars and beautiful forests that brighten his day, and that of all those around him, including his friend Tzvi, and his father, Dr. Rudy.
The lyrics of the song are about our trust in Hashem and our ecstatic songs of praise for His kindnesses. It was fun to express that in the guise of a caterpillar - which represents our hopes for the good - and the butterfly - which is the revealed good we seek.
