Yaakov Lemmer at Jewish Culture Festival in Krakow 2015
Every year at the end of June the largest Jewish Culture Festival is held in Krakow Poland. Since the opening concert is always on a Sunday, the religious performers arrive before the Sabbath. When the Cantors, Singers and Musicians get together to spend Shabbat together, there is always singing and lots of fun in the air. It has become a tradition in Krakow that thousands fill the Tempel Synagogue to join the Melave Malka feast - The Final Sabbath feast where we escort the Shabbes queen out.
In this song composed by Mordechai Gebirtig who lived in Krakow, we plead to Hashem & to the world for an eternal Shabbes - Eternal Peace.
The Melave Malka took place at this beautiful synagogue in the Kazimierz district. The Moorish Revival building was designed by Ignacy Hercok, and built in 1860--1862 along Miodowa Street.

Crane Carrying A320 Aircraft Crashes
This is the shocking moment an Air India plane A320 came crashing down next to a busy airport.
The aircraft was being moved by a giant 200 tone crane which collapsed suddenly next to the Hyderabad Begumpet Airport in India.
Incredibly, no-one appears to have been injured in the potentially disastrous incident.
Officials said the 70 tonne (CHK) A-320 aircraft, which is not in service, was being moved out of the airport to the Air India training academy when the bar of the crane bent, before it toppled over - taking the plane with it. The aircraft crashed on the boundary wall of a private property next to Begumpet Airport in Hyderabad this morning. Both the crane and the aircraft were left severely damaged.
Air India was transporting the Airbus A320 aircraft from the Begumpet Airport hangar to the nearby Central Training Establishment.

High Wire Chimp Swings on Power Lines After Zoo Escape
A runaway chimpanzee in Japan was shot with a tranquilizer gun only to hang precariously from a power line before falling to the ground and surviving in a drama shown live on national television.
The chimp, 24-year-old Chacha, escaped from Sendai Yagiyama Zoological Park with keepers in hot pursuit but climbed up an electricity pole. Zoo officials shot the chimp with the tranquiliser which eventually kicked in and caused him to lose his footing, though he managed to grab hold of a power line with one hand.
Seconds later however Chacha lost his grip and fell, live footage on Japanese TV showed.

The Bicycle Car
What Happens When You Mix a Car, and a Bike ?
It’s not quite a bicycle, and not quite a car — it’s a bicycle-car, and it’s called PodRide. At first glance, PodRide looks something like a very small and thin Smart Car, but under its fabric exterior lies a recumbent bicycle — as well as some technology including a 250 watt electric motor to assist with travel. This makes PodRide a little more sophisticated than your average bicycle, obviously more comfortable in the rain and snow, and still completely legal in most bicycle lanes.
PodRide features four wheels and, with the help of the electric motor, a top speed of about 15-miles-per-hour, and overall dimensions of 180cm x 75cm x 14cm; this makes the bike-car slim enough to fit in most bicycle lanes, but wide enough to comfortably accommodate the “driver.” The body itself is waterproof and the windshield is heated to help deal with snow and ice.
Given that PodRide’s creator Mikael Kjellman is located in Sweden, it’s not surprising the car has been outfitted with gear suitable for a winter climate. In addition to the heated windshield and waterproof shell are studded tires for wintery roads. Practically extends to the trunk, where there’s a bit of storage for items (groceries, perhaps). PodRide also features a tow bar for haling a bicycle trailer.
Overall, the end result is a bicycle that has been outfitted with some of the conveniences of a car, only without the pollution and costs. Because the system uses regular electric bicycle components, it’ll likely be street legal in most countries, though licensing could be required in some places.
PodRide’s creator is seeking $30,000 in funding on Indiegogo, where things have just kicked off. A $500 USD pledge will go toward producing the bicycle-car, and will get backers the model at 15% off the planned retail price…assuming, of course, that it comes to market in the end.

A mischievous father takes full advantage of his son's domestic ineptitude in this viral video.
Having clearly never even come close to a vacuum cleaner before, the young lad foolishly listens to his dad's advice on how to turn the machine on.
Missing key clues such as the fact he is holding a plug in his hand, the boy pulls the vacuum's extension cord as if he were starting a boat engine.
Needless to say, his efforts prove fruitless, but his dad offers him gentle encouragement to keep going while he films the struggle.

After several attempts, dad finally puts his son out of misery and tells him to try plugging the contraption into the wall.
With a resigned tone, the father is heard saying: "Connor, it's not a motorbike."

Snowboarder Kelly Murphy thought it was just another normal ride down the slopes of the Hakuba 47 winter resort in Japan as she happily sang along to Rihanna while filming a selfie video.
But when she later reviewed the footage she found she had missed a dangerous encounter with a bear by only a few meters after it chased after her.
Or at least this is what the footage appears to show, as her video seems so remarkable that it may all be down to some sly editing where the charging beast has been carefully added in.
The rider, dressed in red winter gear, then begun to ride down the slope by the city of Nagano in the misty conditions.
A large moving creature can then been seen on top of the mountain over her shoulder.
Then amazingly, after she held the camera out to film her descent, a bear can be heard roaring and then seen sprinting after her. It appeared to continue to follow her as she carved her way through the snow before it gave up shortly before she came to a stop.

Longest Human Mattress Dominoes Chain Topples
Aaron’s Inc., an appliance and electronics company in the US, broke the record for the Largest human mattress dominoes with 1,200 participants at the Gaylord Resort and Conference Center in National Harbor, Maryland, USA. The feat was accomplished in its first try and took 13 minutes and 38 seconds. The attempt was part of their annual managers meeting.

Jay Leno Donates Ambucycle to Israel's United Hatzalah
At a special concert fundraiser for Israel’s largest volunteer EMS service held at the Jazz at Lincoln Center in New York on Sunday, United Hatzalah was honored by Jay Leno, who performed a long comedy set and offered on the spot to donate a $36,000 fully equipped ambucycle for the EMS organization to use to save lives in Israel.
The former Tonight Show host called Eli Beer, Founder and President of United Hatzalah, to the stage after his act to tell him “What you guys are doing is so special I am so proud to be here and be part of it. I have 117 motorcycles in my collection but none of my motorcycles save lives. I want to donate an ambucycle with all of the trappings.” The ambucycle, once it is outfitted and adorned with Jay Leno’s name, will join the fleet ambucylces of over 400 used by the volunteer EMS organization to continue to provide free treatment to anyone who needs while cutting down emergency response time throughout the country to under 3 minutes.
Leno, who traveled from Los Angeles specially for the concert, also challenged the audience to join him in supporting lifesaving in Israel by donating on the spot to the organization and offering that anyone who donated $1,000 would receive a free tour of his garage to see his large car and motorcycle collection.
Leno’s rare car and motorcycle collection is considered to be one of the finest in the world. Thanks to Leno, an additional $50,000 was raised on the spot to support saving lives in Israel.
The concert took place at the Jazz at Lincoln Center in midtown Manhattan and featured performances by musical entertainer Lipa Schmeltzer and the Rock band 8th Day.

I want to donate an ambucycle with all of the trappings.” The ambucycle, once it is outfitted and adorned with Jay Leno’s name, will join the fleet ambucylces of over 400 used by the volunteer EMS organization to continue to provide free treatment to anyone who needs while cutting down emergency response time throughout the country to under 3 minutes.
Leno, who traveled from Los Angeles specially for the concert, also challenged the audience to join him in supporting lifesaving in Israel by donating on the spot to the organization and offering that anyone who donated $1,000 would receive a free tour of his garage to see his large car and motorcycle collection.
Leno’s rare car and motorcycle collection is considered to be one of the finest in the world. Thanks to Leno, an additional $50,000 was raised on the spot to support saving lives in Israel.
The concert took place at the Jazz at Lincoln Center in midtown Manhattan and featured performances by musical entertainer Lipa Schmeltzer and the Rock band 8th Day.

Justin M. Lewis, known for his incredible tap moves was joined by young Luke Spring at a tap festival in Washington. And they didn't disappoint.

Baby Smiles in Delight Seeing His Mom for the First Time
The heart-warming moment a baby saw his mother clearly for the first time has gone viral. In a sweet video, baby Leopold Wilbur Reppond can be seen breaking into a huge grin as he catches a proper glimpse of his mother after receiving glasses.
The youngster suffers from a rare disorder called oculocutaneous albinism, which affects the color of a person's hair, skin and eyes, and means he is unable to see properly. Following his diagnosis his parents invested in a pair of prescription glasses, which look set to transform his life for the better.
"Hi honey!" Leo's mum can be heard saying after putting his glasses on. As the baby looks up to his mother he flashes a huge smile with the realization that he can see her properly for the first time.

Landing Plane Nearly Hits Tourist
The Gustaff III Airport on the Caribbean island of St. Barts was ranked as the third-most dangerous airport in the world by the “Most Extreme Airports” program on the History Channel. It has a steep descent arrival over a hilltop traffic circle and a departure that skims over the heads of sunbathers.
Video shot by Sebastien Politano of Saint Martin, Guadeloupe, confirms the dangerous nature of the approach as it appears to show a small plane grazing a tourist trying to take photographs as it approached.

Israeli Chasidic Tourist Stabbed in NY Subway Robbery
Video footage released by the NYPD shows a Chasidic man trying to fight off his attacker at a Greenwich Village subway station early Friday morning.
The victim, who was dressed in Chasidic attire, was slashed repeatedly by an unidentified man and robbed on the southbound platform of the Number 6 line at the Bleecker Street station early Friday morning April 8 2016.
The victim has been identified as 55 year old Avraham Fekete who was visiting New York from Israel.
The surveillance video, with a 3:10 AM timestamp, shows Fekete trying to escape his attacker, holding his hat in his hand as he tried to push through the metal turnstile. The attacker, a black man with dreadlocks, was dressed in a yellow jacket or vest with white printed sleeves and wearing a brown hood.
According to the Daily News, Fekete had gone to visit friends in the Diamond District on Thursday when he got lost on the subway and ended up on the southbound platform of the Bleecker Street station. Fekete asleep on a bench at approximately 3 AM and was woken up by a man who demanded his money and slashed him several times on the hands, face and neck.
The incident left the station closed during Friday morning’s rush hour as the NYPD continued their investigation. Police have yet to determine if the attack is being classified as a bias crime.

Almost 2,000 people attended the one event which took place April 7 2016. in the grand banquet hall of the Menorah Center of the Dnepropetrovsk Jewish Community, under the leadership of the shliach and Rabbi of the City, Rabbi Shmuel Kaminetzky.
Songs in Russian and Yiddish, Niggunim and popular Jewish lighted up the hearts of all - and brought joy and happiness to a country that is in such need for encouragement and something to smile about.
