Nafshi Live: Kol Bayaar – Benny Friedman & Eli Marcus

Colel Chabad presents Nafshi Live, a new series highlighting the niggunim sung at the annual Nafshi events. The first release, Kol Bayaar, is performed by Benny Friedman and Eli Marcus. Composed by the Shpoler Zeide, this niggun expresses the soul’s deep longing to connect with Hashem. Its release is timed with Yud Tes Shevat, the day marking the Shpoler Zeide’s miraculous salvation, adding further significance to this powerful melody.

Nafshi is the premier Yud Tes Kislev event, arranged annually by Colel Chabad in honor of its founder, the Alter Rebbe—the Baal HaTanya. Yud Tes Kislev marks the day of his release from prison, known as the Rosh Hashanah of Chassidus. As the institution he established, Colel Chabad continues to lead in its mission, providing food, medical, and social assistance to those in need while also honoring the Alter Rebbe through the spread of Chassidus.

Founded in 1788, Colel Chabad is the oldest continuous tzedakah organization in Israel, providing daily meals, food security programs, orphan support, medical aid, and crisis relief to thousands across the country.

B'kolos U'vrakim - ft. Zanvil, Shira, Freilach, Mona

It was thousands of years ago when the Jewish nation stood at the foothills of Har Sinai to accept the Torah. The sun beating down, the smell of flowers in the air and an excitement in their hearts that we can only fathom. Now, conductor Mona Rosenblum has taken this story and breathed life into it. As you watch The Shira Choir, Freilach Band and Zanvil Weinberger perform this spectacular rendition of 讘拽讜诇讜转 讜讘专拽讬诐, at a Hachnosas Sefer Torah event in Ateres Avrohom, feel your heart swell with gratitude and enthusiasm. Goldman Medley - Shvochim Ft. Yingerlich , Shira, Freilach

The term ‘an oldie but a goodie’ rightfully applies to virtually every single tune composed by the inimitable, unforgettable champion of Chassidish American music, R’ Moshe Goldman z”l. One of the most prolific composers of any generation, R' Moshe’s library of work illuminated the Jewish world with songs rich in soul and warmth, yet melodically accessible to all.

On Chol Hamoed Sukkos 5781, Shvochim held a concert event in Borough Park to commemorate this giant of Jewish song. Cascading waves of nostalgia washed over both the performers and the audience as old, cherished crowd-favorites spilled forth from the Yingerlach child choir, the Shira adult choir, and the Freilach band.

Ballad. March. Disco. Waltz. Swing. Folk. The genres kept coalescing, while not a beat was missed. We invite you to enjoy this short peek into that spellbinding event––and join in person next time!

Abba Iti – Freilach ft. Itzik Dadya, Yossi Lax & Yedidim

For over a decade The Freilach Band has had the honor to perform at countless Simchas, concerts and events; each one special in its own way. Recently we had the opportunity to be part of a very momentous Hachnosas Sefer Torah dedicated by an extremely special individual, Pesach Weiss. One of the many highlights of that evening was this incredible duet featuring Itzik Dadya & child soloist Yossi Lax backed up by the talented voices of The Yedidim Choir.

What a perfect way to begin the new year 2021 with this reminder, that no matter what is happening in our lives - even when things are difficult, Hashem our father, our Abba, our Tatteh is always with us.
