The Story of Hey Teves in Lubavitch
On the 5th of Teves in 1987, Agudas Chasidei Chabad was declared victorious in the battle over the ownership of Chabad's library. Upon hearing the news, Chassidim broke out in celebration.
From the Rebbe’s first public references to the theft of Lubavitch’s treasured manuscripts in the summer of 1985, it was clear that this was not merely a legal challenge, but also as a spiritual struggle over the soul of the movement, and over the very definition of what a Rebbe is.
This video pulls back the cover on a painful yet fascinating saga. The Rebbe’s ultimate victory – or in the Rebbe’s words, “the victory of the books” – and the celebration that followed have been forever enshrined in the narrative of the Lubavitch movement in modern times.
Experience events as they unfold, together with Chasidim at 770 – from the Rebbe’s first talk on the subject through the court battle, the victory, the books’ return, and the Rebbe’s post-victory addresses on the subject.

Police Scale Flaming Building to Rescue Kids
A North Brunswick, NJ. police officer scaled the side of a blazing condo to help rescue two children and their grandparents who had become trapped by the inferno on Saturday.
“The fire had already consumed the majority of the breezeway that contained all doors. Officers went to the doors that they could still get to to clear/evacuate those units. A couple Officers located two children and their grandparents (who were) stranded on a second floor balcony, trapped by the approaching fire,” the North Brunswick Police Department wrote on Facebook.
Video shows one of the officers rushing toward a balcony, waving his flashlight and yelling “Jump! Jump! Come on, hurry up!” as the flames crackle in the background.
Another officer waves his arms and says he’ll catch the people on the balcony, but they hesitate. He tests a railing on the ground, then begins clambering up the burning building to reach them.
A crowd of officers gathers around and helps catch the children, who are tossed from the balcony by the officer. Another officer begins climbing the flaming building to help. Eventually they get everybody out and rush away from the building.
The officer who climbed to the balcony was Officer Joseph Grasso, according to the Courier News. Officers can be heard calling him “Joey” in the video.
“All involved did an excellent job,” said Police Capt. Brian Hoiberg, according to the paper.
Police said the massive inferno may have been started by a candle from a menorah.

It’s Time to Cut His Time!
Final Push: Prison Reform Bill
Charidy.com/pidyon
For the last 10 years, Rabbi Moshe Margaretten has been working tirelessly to reform the correctional system of America. After seeing the emotional and financial damage that families endure when their loved ones are imprisoned, Rabbi Margeretten enlisted the help of Gary Apfel and other activists to see how they can change things. Over 1 million dollars has been invested to hire the best lobbyist teams and legal experts to help pass a prison bill that would reduce sentencing time and promote better rehab programs. There were days when it seemed impossible, when all their effort seemed for naught, when experts advised them to give up. But they didn’t.
Now the bill is in its final and most critical stage. The defining moment is NOW!

Police Dog Can't Quite Get Used to Winter Boots
Members of the Rapid City Police Department decided to buy new snow boots for one of its team members, a police dog.
A police dog’s battle with its new snowshoes is melting hearts across the internet, thanks to an adorable viral video shared by Rapid City police.
Jary appeared to forget how to walk once the shoes were on, raising each of his legs in a comical manner as his colleagues watched in amusement.
The police pooch keeps moving his hind legs in an exaggerated fashion, lifting them way higher than necessary as he tries to get the hang of his new booties.
When an officer gives him a toy to play with and fetch, his walking improves, but only slightly.
All humour aside, officers want to remind people that pets get cold, just like humans. So, make sure to take extra precaution when taking them out into cold weather.

Alon resides at a specialized nursing hospital by the name of Beit Rivka, located in Petah Tikvah. He is bedridden and is on life-support. May he have a Yeshua Bekorov.

Bitchu Bashem - Sababa Band feat. Shmueli Ungar
Last Summer, Shmueli Ungar was scheduled to perform together with MBD in a major show with Haminagnim in Eretz Yisroel. Sadly, there were terror attacks in the form of rockets flying in very close to where the concert was scheduled to be. The police, due to safety issues decided the show needs to be canceled.
Upon arriving back to America, Shmueli was discussing a Chupa they had that night with Mendy Hershkowitz of Sababa Band. Mendy asked him the complete story as he had only heard bits and pieces, during the conversation the idea came up to do a song together. Shmueli, echoing his thoughts about this recent story, settled on the words, "Bitchu Bashem" for a concept.
No matter what happens, no matter the curves life throws our way, Hashem is the one in charge, all we have to do is keep the faith. Together with composer Hershey Weinberger and his producer, Naftali Schnitzler the super team joined together to create the upcoming single and video you are about to enjoy.

Tatte – Shira Choir ft. Avrumy Genuth & Freilach Band
The story is as old as our nation’s history:
A Yid in need finds himself at the entrance of Me’aras Hamachpeilah, our forefathers burial place, He pours his heart out, demanding of Hashem to expedite the arrival of Moshiach. This age-old tale finds reprise in the hands of Shira Choir, rising star child soloist Avrumy Genuth, and an expanded iteration of the Freilach Band. The simplistic lyrics—passages of prayer that stood the passage of time—crescendo to a fever pitch. There is no doubt the heavens are as ear-bound as you’ll be.
