Cops Save Suicidal Woman About to Jump

A pair of Texas cops came to a distraught woman's rescue and managed to save her life.

The duo had moments to act as the woman teetered on the brink of an overpass, threatening to jump into traffic below.

Dash-cam footage captures video of both men walking towards her while body-cam film shows just hos close to the edge the woman was as she stood on the concrete ledge.

The woman tells them how scared she is the men edge ever-closer towards her.

Finally, they decide to make a grab for her and pull her down off the barrier.

They then walk her to the squad car and tell her they're going to get her some help.

The footage is both terrifying and reassuring as it shows the police officers maintain their cool, calm and collected manner throughout managing to bring the woman back down to safety where she could receive some proper care and attention.

Whale Came Out From Nowhere

Incredible moment a humpback whale breaches the water next to a shocked group of tourists on a boat.

Footage captured the breath-taking scene on a whale-watching trip in Pleasant Island, Gustavus, Alaska.

The video shows the peaceful ocean in Glacier Bay, off the Gulf of Alaska, as a whale can be seen spurting water in the distance.

But suddenly a different hump back whale leaps out of the water right next to the boat causing people to gasp in shock. The whale breaches, lifts it's whole body into the air and twirls round before crashing back into the water. A huge wave of ocean water sprays the surprised tourists as the whale submerges itself after the incredible leap.

Shocked tourists in the boat can be seen soaking wet as the camera turns back on them after the incredible sight. The boat can be seen rocking as people scream with delight over the once-in-a-lifetime experience they have just witnessed.

Levy Falkowitz, Yedidim, Toiv Lee, Official Music Video

On the heels of two well received albums (Achake Loi, Toiv Lee), Levy Falkowitz shares his new hit song, Toiv Lee, in a heartfelt visual celebration of the moments and memories surrounding a precious Sefer Torah.

His latest collaboration with composer Hershey Rotenberg, producer Avrom Mordchi Schwartz and arranger Yoeli Dikman, and featuring the Yedidim choir, Toiv Lee is a song filled with both joy and gratitude, a recognition of how much of one’s life in intertwined with Toiras Picho, the Torah of Hashem.

From a sofer sitting alone in a room writing a Sefer Torah’s first words, to a Bar Mitzva bochur standing for his first aliya together with his father, and everything in between, Toiv Lee follows the journey not only of the Sefer Torah but also of the lives it touches along the way.

For those who remember fondly the scent of an old gemoro in a quiet shul between Mincha or Maariv, for those who recall with love davenning on a wooden bench that has been repainted many times over, for those who rejoice when they see a new Sefer Torah being walked to its shul for the first time, this is the song and video they’ve been waiting for.

36 Hour Campaign to Help Launch New Talmud Torah

Group of Lakewood Residents  Launches 36 Hour Campaign to Help Launch New Talmud Torah

The Lakewood community continues to grow by leaps and bounds and the demand for new schools to cater to the many new families moving in is strong.

The newest Talmud Torah to open, Toras Yisroel, will be an elementary school for boys led by a group of mechanchim and Baalei Batim who put in a lot of effort to establish this mosad al derecho Yisroel saba, with an emphasis on Mesorah of yesteryear as well as secular department that meets the needs of the time.

The fledgling Mosad is launching a 36 hour fundraising campaign to give supporters the opportunity to contribute to the success of the mosad at the ground floor, and become partners in the success of the school for many years to come.

To read more about the Mosad and to be a part of the important campaign visit www.duvys.com/match/torasyisroel

A Chabad Shliach and a Sudden Tragedy in Goa India

ChaimKasnett.com: "On April 25, 2018, we received the devastating news that Chaim, the shining light in our family, the seventh of eight children, had drowned in the Arabian Sea while traveling in Goa, India. Four excruciating days later, we buried Chaim in Kfar Etzion, Israel and found ourselves making a promise that would have seemed nonsensical only a few days earlier.

We promised Chaim this: “We will build a community center, a Chabad House, a place where Jewish travelers from around the world like yourself can gather, a home away from home, in your name.”

We made that promise unanimously, without any doubt at all as to whether it was possible, because we knew it was the only way to make a world without Chaim in it ever again make any sense at all.

Most of us, aside from two siblings living in Israel, were 8,000 miles away from Chaim when we learned what happened. We contacted both the American and Israeli embassies in India of course, but even before those calls, we reached out to Chabad. We needed someone we could trust to locate and identify Chaim and remain with him, and Chabad was the obvious choice.  There was a moment of panic when we realized that the Chabad house in Mumbai was not fully staffed during the tourist off-season, and that there was no Chabad house at all in that area of Goa itself. But then, within minutes, we were connected with Rabbi Simcha K, an American Chabad emissary (shaliach) who only a few days before had arrived in Goa with a completely different mission in mind."  Click Here to read more.

Mordechai Shapiro "Friends"

Friends by Mordechai Shapiro
(Official Music Video)

Dedicated in loving memory of my best friend Chaim Kasnett

Chaim was a helper and a connector. He saw the good in people and the beauty in the world and the humor in any and every situation, no matter where he was. He took the time to listen to people, to really listen to their stories and share their perspective; he made friends with anyone and everyone and never once judged someone by their religious observance, beliefs, background or history. I"ll miss you forever bro!

Sholom Aleichem - Pinchas Wolf - Shirei Pinchas 4

Over the past several years, the world has been introduced to Reb Pinchas Wolf, a talented chazzan who has composed hundreds of niggunim. While those who live near Reb Pinchas have the privilege of hearing him daven for the amud every Shabbos Mevorchim, it’s time for fans all around the world to hear him sing one of his special niggunim himself.

PRESENTING: Sholom Aleichem, the newest single from Reb Pinchas Wolf, from his upcoming album: Shirei Pinchas 4.

When a composer sings his own song, there is a special connection that resonates with the listener. Although there are many famous Sholom Aleichem’s, all those who hear Reb Pinchas’ agree that it’s special. His Sholom Aleichem is the type of niggun that is so catchy, anyone can pick up on it. With Reb Pinchas’ impressive background in chazzanus, you are sure to hear some of the powerful tones in his voice even at his advanced years. While recording the demo for Shalom Aleichem, Producer Doni Gross suggested that Reb Pinchas sing this niggun himself as he sings it with such feeling.  So, for the first time, Reb Pinchas will be featured singing not one, but five of his own niggunim.  The album is slated for release this fall iy”h.

Save Ateres Tziporah

Save the School

Ateres Tziporah Will Accept Every Child From A Torah-True Home

Let’s face it, that caught your attention. Because no other Lakewood school will say that. And, no other school is doing that. And Lakewood so desperately needs that kind of Ahavas Yisroel.

The school that will accept any girl from a Torah-true home with the potential to succeed and thrive is about to shut its doors forever.

The start of the school year is just days away, and Ateres Tzipora will be forced to close its doors because of financial issues unless $180,000 can be raised within the next few days. Ateres Tzipora has an enrollment of 154 girls in Primary through Eighth Grade, some of whom were students at a different school that closed down for financial reasons just weeks ago. The school has 26 families asking for acceptance, and is willing to give it to them provided they can assure the future.
