Orangutan Sees Magic Trick
An orangutan witnessed a magic trick and reacted by falling about on the ground laughing in some incredible footage posted online. The great ape was filmed at a zoo - the exact one is unknown - in what is believed to be America, watching a man from inside its enclosure. The man holds a polystyrene cup towards the glass and ensures the orangutan watches as he places what appears to be an unripened chestnut inside.
The ape, who sits by the side of the enclosure with its hand under its chin, follows the whole process with its eyes. The man then puts a lid on the cup and places it under his leg before removing the chestnut.
Bringing it back into view of the ape, the man shakes the beaker before popping it down in front of the enclosure. The curious ape then watches as the man removes the lid and holds the cup to the glass - revealing that there is now nothing inside.
At first it does not appear that the orangutan is going to react as it stares in bewilderment.
Before it then opens its mouth wide - as if laughing - grabs hold of his foot and falls backwards in hysterics. The video concludes with the monkey rolling around on the ground as if blown away by the trick - or perhaps laughing at its poor quality - while the video maker and magician giggle too.

Marking its solidarity with the French community on the first Yahrtzeit of the four Jews HY"D who were murdered during the terrorist attack at the supermarket in the Port de Vincennes neighborhood in eastern Paris. A free concert sponsored by the New York Jewish community in partnership with the Central Consistory of Paris and the Israeli Ministry of Diaspora, on the initiative of Nachum Segal of the Nachum Segal Network.

Florida Police Arrest Teen in Murder of Rabbi Raksin
Police in Florida arrested a teen accused of fatally shooting a Brooklyn Rabbi Wednesday.
Deandre Edwin Charles, 15, is facing a charge of first-degree murder in the August 2014 slaying of Yosef Raksin near Miami.
Raksin was a 60-year-old Crown Heights man and was in Miami visiting relatives, on his way to Sabbath services at the time of the slaying, police say.
Police sources say Charles had been in the middle of a string of robberies when he encountered Raksin. Police accuse Charles of shooting the rabbi after a robbery attempt failed when Raksin wasn't carrying any money.
Charles' stepfather, Willis Archibald, told reporters that his son had been interviewed by police last year. Archibald says he thought everything was fine afterward.

Bukharian Jewish Community in Queens on Edge
A string of arson attacks appearing to target property owned by Bukharian Jews in the Forest Hills neighborhood of Queens has put the community on edge. The perpetrator, who is still at large, has succeeded in destroying seven construction starts, as well as causing heavy damage to adjacent homes. All sites belong to Bukharian Jews. No injuries have been reported.

Panda Rescued by its Playful Zookeeper
This video shows the hilarious moment a determined panda had to be rescued by its playful zookeepers.
The footage, taken in Japan's Adventure World Park, shows the panda rolling around the grass of its enclosure. At that point, it tumbles down a steep slope into a ditch - despite the best efforts of the zookeepers dressed in panda hats.
It then desperately tries to clamber up the slope and is given a helping hand by one of the workers.
The panda reaches the edge of the enclosure, but then falls down the slope once again where it sits in a disgruntled ball.
Finally, on the third attempt, the zoo keeper pulls it out of the ditch and back onto the grassy enclosure where it contently trots off and out of sight. The park currently houses seven pandas, the most in Japan. Last week, twin cubs were born at the zoo.

2,000 people gathered in Moscow to partake in a gala Yud Tes Kislev Farbrengen, marking the day the Baal HaTanya and the Shulchan Oruch, Rabbi Schneur Zalman (also known as the Alter Rebbe) was freed from prison. The farbrengen was led by Rabbi Berel Lazar, head Shliach and Chief Rabbi of Russia,
Many of the participants remember too well the not so far past, when a Yud Tes Kislev farbrengen would be celebrated in a clandestine venue, hopefully far from the ever-present eyes of the KGB. The sight of 2,000 Jews celebrating Yud Tes Kislev in the open, in an elegant setting, is yet another miracle in our times.
The crowd enjoyed performances by Arele Samet from Israel and the Shira choir, whose members traveled in for the occasion from Brooklyn.

4 Year Old Drives a Dump Truck by Remote Control
To prove the toughness of its latest FMX truck, Volvo turned it into an RC racer and handed the "keys" to the luckiest 4-year-old ever. The results were what you'd expect: Pure chaos. To be fair, young Sophie probably guided the vehicle better than we would have at that age (or even now). However, steering a multi-ton rig from afar ain't easy, so she managed to hit obstacles, roll the vehicle into a pit and (safely) crash through a house. At the end of her trip, the vehicle emerged relatively unscathed and was still driveable.
The whole thing, of course, was a PR stunt rigged up by Volvo to make its vehicle look as good as possible. There are far worse ways to spend your marketing budget, however, and the company clearly put a lot of work into it. "The remote control used by Sophie was specially made for this film. Highly sensitive, the compact RC unit provided access to steering, accelerator, gearshift and brakes," according to Volvo. The final result was a pretty epic video, as you can see below.
The whole thing, of course, was a PR stunt rigged up by Volvo to make its vehicle look as good as possible. There are far worse ways to spend your marketing budget, however, and the company clearly put a lot of work into it. "The remote control used by Sophie was specially made for this film. Highly sensitive, the compact RC unit provided access to steering, accelerator, gearshift and brakes," according to Volvo. The final result was a pretty epic video, as you can see below.

“Chanukah Live”: an unprecedented effort in sharing the light of Chanukah with the world.
Based out of Chabad Lubavitcher headquarters in NY, Chanukah candles were kindled at several locations in a simultaneously broadcast event via satellite, which aired on giant screens throughout the world .
Bringing together different continents to celebrate as one, this was technologically speaking, a monumental undertaking at the time. A group of resourceful Chassidim brought the idea to the Lubavitcher Rebbe and received his enthusiastic blessing.
This clip shows the Rebbe taking part in one such monumental rally in 5751/1990 as Chassidim around the world energetically respond to the Rebbe’s encouragement.
