Competitive Eaters Take on Purim Pastry
In celebration of Purim, competitive eaters see how many hamataschen they can eat in five minutes at the All Pro Eating's "El Al Israel Airlines National Hamantaschen Eating Championship" at the Congregation Kehilath Jeshurun synagogue on the Upper East Side in Manhattan where the winner takes home three round trip tickets to Israel.

Avraham Freid sings at the memorial ceremony for the five members of the Fogel family. The Itamar community inaugurated a new beis midrash called Mishkan Ehud, named after Ehud Fogel, 36. The five members, including young children and a baby were stabbed to death by terrorists from a nearby Palestinian Authority community.

Purim Security At The Kotel
The Kotel is one of the most famous landmarks on the planet, so security is a must. Even on Purim, when it is customary to dress up in fun and festive costumes, one must go through the metal detectors. Naturally, when “The Joker” sets the metal detector off, he empties his pockets of a seemingly endless stockpile of knives, bombs, and guns. The guards seem to get the joke, and let a smile break their poker face.
TV News Reporter Walks Into Sign Post
It’s a scene often played on TV news. A reporter chasing after someone who is trying to hide from the cameras while screaming, “No comment, no comment!” In this case, Kent Molgat from CTV News was trying to get ‘the full story’ from a lawyer. He was so focused on the the story, he ran directly into a sign pole, face first. Even the fleeing lawyer stopped and asked if he was OK.
Haman and His Son's in Borough Park
Jewish residents say anyone offended by a display in Borough Park for the Jewish holiday Purim don't understand the symbolism. The display features 11 mannequins hung across 12th St. "There was a man named Hamman and he wanted to kill all the Jews and at the end they hang him and all his sons instead," says Barry Spira. "That's the story of the celebration we celebrate. This is the story that happened in the past."
Google Takes Peres On Tour
Google hosted President Shimon Peres at its headquarters, several hours before he concluded his visit to California’s Silicon Valley on Wednesday. Google co-founder Sergey Brin took Peres on a special tour of the company’s headquarters. At the start of the tour, Brin arranged a surprise for the president - a virtual journey back to his childhood in Poland via five giant screens, starting with his birthplace Vishneva, now in Belarus.
Moved by the images, Peres requested to surf to the city where his parents were born, Volozhin, and and to show him their family house and synagogue. Continuing their voyage, Brin took Peres on a virtual trip to the moon, where they viewed a model of spacecraft Apollo 11, and from there they made a stop in Mars. At the president’s request, they then traveled to Israel where Peres showed Brin Kibbitz Alummot, which he founded in youth, as well as the president’s residence, the Western Wall and other important sites.

Why is it Called Megillas Esther & not Mordechai?
From a talk by the Lubavitcher Rebbe at a Farbrengin on Purim 5733, March 18, 1973.
Mordechai and Esther are the heroes of Purim, yet the Megillah is named only after Esther. And the initiative that the Megillah be included among Torah Shebiksav came specifically from Esther. Why is Esther given the spotlight, when her success depended on Mordechai's plan?
The answer: Mordechai had the idea, but Esther took the action—and action is the main thing. It was Esther who actually risked her life to see the plan through. Esther wanted every Jewish woman in every generation to know their vital role. Their husband may be a great rabbi, a great leader—a veritable "Mordechai," but it is the Jewish woman who is the actual pillar of the Jewish People. It is she who establishes "family by family," "city by city," and "country by country," ensuring that even when the Jewish People are "scattered and dispersed among other nations," they remain "one unique Jewish People."

Rescuer Dives to Save Drowning Man
Kevin Pratt didn't hesitate when he realized a man who jumped into the Willamette River in Portland, Oregon on Sunday March 4 2012, was drowning. He stripped down to his boxer shorts, dove in and swam to the man and then swam and struggled to bring the man back to shore. Pratt, a nursing student, and several other bystanders then worked to revive the man.

Protester Clowns Seek to Disrupt AIPAC
Protesters demonstrated outside the American Israel Public Affairs Committee Conference (AIPAC) Convention Center on Sunday, and were heard yelling, “end the occupation” and “end the apartheid.” The Algemeiner’s live AIPAC blog said that the protesters used visuals which included “giant letters to spell out “NO WAR ON IRAN”, puppets, mock checkpoint and Annexation Wall, flashmob, and more.”
“The Occupy AIPAC coalition is gathering to urge Obama to reject the Israeli administration’s push for war on Iran and insist on respect for Palestinian rights. Timed to coincide with the annual AIPAC policy conference from March 3-6, the Occupy AIPAC summit will be a long weekend of events and protests that draw attention to the role of AIPAC as a special interest lobby that maintains a stranglehold over US policies. As the Occupy Movement has focused public ire on the role of large corporations and powerful lobby groups, hundreds will gather in DC to protest AIPAC’s push for war,” the “Occupy AIPAC” website states.
The Occupy Movement, which began with social protests against the economic injustices of Wall Street, has turned into another forum of de-legitimizing, vilifying and demonizing Israel and all those who support the Jewish state.

From that day on his life changed to the good as Yaldei provided all the necessary means to put his precious little Aron back on the right track. This brought back his family life to prosperity and peace once again.
