From the author: "Jackson Mountain Homes sent me a text to warn us of bear activity. Wasn’t there 30 minutes while unloading the truck, a bear comes and opens the door! Opens the door like a person would and opens the center console to eat the peanut M&M's that we had in the truck while driving there from Michigan. Crazy! I was like 10 ft. from if trying to get it out. I threw 2 rugs and a chair at it."

It didn't take Jonah very long to grow tired of his toy truck. One minute, he was cruising down the driveway in his blue four-wheeler with the top down, pedal to the plastic, just enjoying the breeze in his hair. The next minute, he was out cold, driving aimlessly in circles, unable to respond to his father, who called out his name repeatedly.

Home Destroyed by Flour Avalanche

From the author: "Mommy took a 5 minute bathroom break during which my two boys, ages 1 and 3 took my new bag of flour out of the cupboard and destroyed my house. My blood pressure is still up."

She adds: "I agree, it looks like I totally was a passive parent here. It looks like I don't parent at all! It is just that I was in complete shock. I came out of the bathroom in shock, walked through the flour on the floor to get my camera, went back to the bathroom, took a deep breath and started to video. After I videotaped this I sat down and cried. My mother-in-law (GOD BLESS HER) came over to help me clean. (THANKS MOM!) Zachary did fall on the flour and busted his lip open though :-(."

To the question on how they got the flour up onto the frames? She replies: "It is crazy isnt it?! Flour is so light it becomes airborne very easily! For the people who think it's fake.. take a hand full of flour and throw it up in the air from a child's height... You'll see! lol"

2 Year Old's Reaction to Pre-recorded Video of her Daddy

From the author: "My 2 yr old daughter's reaction to a pre-recorded video of her daddy who was away with the military."

Message from the author: I want to take this opportunity to clear up a few things and explain our particular situation. I've received a lot of comments about my husband being overseas, but he was not deployed. He had to leave for two months to attend Basic Military Training in Texas, as he just enlisted in the USAF. Our daughter didn't understand him leaving or how long he'd be gone, or if he'd come back. She's so young and I didn't want her to think he just vanished. Prior to his departure, he recorded several videos of him talking with her, reading to her, making silly faces, ect. Once he left, every day she would ask "daddy back? see daddy?" and I was so grateful to have something to show her. In this particular video, our kitten knocked something off the shelf in the living room and it made a noise. She was trying to get daddy's attention to tell him "silly kitty."

Thank you everyone for your interest and kind words. There are sacrifices in being a military family, but technology today is so great in helping to ease the pain.

PS: Yes, she is half Korean and half Scotch-Irish, but we are all American."
