Remains Of Holocaust Victims Solemnly Laid To Rest In Rockland County
A community gathered Thursday in Rockland County to fulfill the promise to never forget.
They laid to rest some unknown victims of the Holocaust, murdered more than 70 years ago, more than 4,000 miles away.
They grieved for the dead without knowing their names. Bound by faith and history, a community indelibly marked by the Holocaust buried ashes of unknown victims from a death camp in Poland.
“I feel that we are really honored, blessed, having these remains left in our hands,” said Paul Galan, the president of the Rockland Holocaust Museum.
The discovery was made earlier this year as the Rockland Holocaust Museum moved to a new home, and a collection of items from Auschwitz was taken out of storage.

Though its been many years since prolific composer Rav Shmuel Brazil has released any original music to the public, music is always a part of his life. For the first time in over a decade Rav Brazil is ready to release some original niggunim under a new brand, "Hakshivah." I am proud to present the first single from the project titled “Shofar Gadol.”
This project is named "Hakshivah" for it is my hope that these original nigunim will awaken every Yid to be an active participant in the blowing of his inner shofar from the depths of his neshamah connecting his to Moshiach's majestic Shofar Gadol.

Fedex Impersonator Tie Up and Robs Family
Shocking video shared on Chinese social media shows a Brooklyn family get bound up by a home burglar who was pretending to be a FedEx employee.
Footage first posted on WeChat and shared on Reddit shows the brazen thief and an accomplice rob the home in the Brooklyn neighborhood of Bay Ridge on Monday.
A spokesman with the New York Police Department said that the burglars managed to steal $40,000 in cash and another $80,000 in jewelry.
Home security footage shows the FedEx employee impersonator approach the home around 3pm with the fake delivery. The thief is wearing a FedEx fleece jacket.
The thief is allowed entry into the home but his accomplice - a man clad in a blue shirt and matching backpack - storms up the steps and into the home.
Inside the home, the pair can be seen binding up a family inside the home with tape. While binding the victims, the thieves repeatedly ask one of the victims - a middle-aged-woman - to open a safe that the accomplice brought from the upstairs bedroom.
Failing to open the safe, the burglars then decide to bind the families feet. One of the burglars pulls out a walkie-talkie and can be heard talking with someone on the device.
They then flee the scene with the safe. The robbery took roughly 10 minutes.
The female victim can then be seen hopping to retrieve an item to cut herself loose.

Akiva Gelb - Ah Yiddeleh - Music Video
Recently, Akiva was inspired to write a song. This isn’t the first time Gelb has composed a song, but this is the first time he is releasing it to the public along with his first music video.
The song titled “Ah Yiddeleh” talks about how some of us feel empty sometimes. We don’t feel connected to Hashem and we are overwhelmed with our daily lives. Things seem to go wrong more often than not and it’s just too hard. We are all begging our father in heaven “Al Tasteir Ponecho Mimeni.” Hashem is always there, and during the Yomim Noroim is the perfect time to ask him to please reveal himself and help us. May we all have a Shana Tova U’mesuka and may we all be inscribed in the book of life, parnassah, health, shidduchim and refuah.

In recent months, the foundations of Klal Yisroel have been placed in jeopardy, with outside forces threatening to undermine the chinuch of every Jewish child in New York. Government and public school intervention in our schools has become a frighteningly real possibility, and after a weeks-long campaign to prevent this unacceptable intrusion, we continue to daven that we not lose the right to raise our children according to the mesorah that has sustained us for generations.
Since the start of this crisis, Klal Yisroel has joined together with one heart and one voice. Answering the call of gedolim and rabbonim, we have davened together, signed petitions expressing our unyielding opposition to these new regulations and done our part to spread the message of truth - highlighting both the beauty and the successes of a yeshiva education. Time and time again, PEARLS has led the charge, representing every single Jewish school institution and community, an effort that comes at tremendous financial cost. And just as PEARLS has stepped up for the Klal Yisroel, the time has come for Klal Yisroel has to step up for PEARLS so that it can continue its critical efforts in the battle on behalf of our precious children.

Rabbi Chaim Gershon Davis is the ninth grade Rebbi in Yeshivah Darchei Torah in Far Rockaway. Besides for being a stellar Rebbi, Reb Chaim is also a budding composer who has created many popular songs on popular albums including Es Ponecha for Simcha Leiner. As a Rebbi, he feels one of the greatest ways to connect to Talmidim is through the Shar haniginah, the gates of music, which connects directly to the neshamah.
This song “Desire To Go Higher” is the first Reb Chaim is recording himself. Joining him on the recording, are his Talmidim. “The reason I chose this song out of many others is because I feel this message is so important to any Yid and bochurim in particular. If someone really desires to grow in Avodas Hashem nothing is impossible,” says Rabbi Davis. It is with this hope, days before Rosh Hashana, when we are ALL striving to go higher for the coming year that they are releasing this song to klal yisroel. May it be the ratzon of Hashem that all our tefilos in the coming year be answered and may will always desire to go higher.

Composed by Yitzy Berry and arranged by Moshe Laufer, the niggun becomes ever more powerful, building from the sweetness of a saxophone to the bellow of a trumpet, allowing Falkowitz to express the full measure of his emotion.
