The United States' Ambassador to Israel, Dan Shapiro, prayed at the Jerusalem synagogue targeted in a deadly terrorist attack last week, in a symbolic show of solidarity.
Shapiro joined congregants for shacharit prayers at the Kehillat Bnei Torah synagogue in Har Nof, where four congregants and a police officer were murdered by terrorists wielding meat-cleavers and a gun, accompanied by the president of the United Hatzalah ambulance service, Eli Beer, and CEO of the Israelife Foundation Eli Faulk.
Faulk, who is a volunteer paramedic for United Hatzalah, was among the first at the scene of the attack last Tuesday.
Shapiro attended the entire prayer, wrapped in his tallit prayer shawl and tefillin
Shapiro took time to meet with individual congregants, many of whom - like three of the five people killed in the attack - are American citizens. Some of them told how they were present at scene of the attack as it unfolded, and witnessed their fellow congregants slaughtered before their eyes. Congregants also showed the Ambassador the bullet holes which still remain in the walls.

When the Lubavitcher Rebbe Saved Three Lives
Dr. Harold Serebro is a leading medical practitioner, entrepreneur and author of several books.
He recalls how one a busy afternoon, a panicked Rabbi Bernhard walked into his Johannesburg practice holding a file of x-rays belonging to a congregant.
The Rabbi's dilemma: Doctors were insisting on immediate surgery, but the Lubavitcher Rebbe was of an entirely different opinion.

Israeli Amb. Tells EU, "You Failed Israel"
Israel’s Ambassador to the UN, Ron Prosor, addressed the UN General Assembly on November 25, 2014.
"Today’s debate is not about speaking for peace or speaking for the Palestinian people – it is about speaking against Israel."
Ambassador Prosor's spoke at the UN General Assembly which was part of the international day of solidarity with the Palestinian People debate. This debate commemorates the UN's Partition Plan for Palestine, and results in numerous anti-Israel resolutions.
Usually, during the UN International day of solidarity with the Palestinian People debate, the European Union makes a collective announcement. This time, Sweden decided to honor us with its presence and hold its own speech.
To the Swedish State Secretary for Foreign Affairs who attended the debate (that results in numerous anti-Israel resolutions) and to the rest of the European nations, Israeli Ambassador to the UN, Ron Prosor, said:
"You, the European nations, never stood beside us, and it is no surprise that you aren't standing beside us today. There is not one Israeli who trusts your hollow promises on matters of Israel’s security. You failed us. You failed us in the 1940s. You failed us in 1973. And you are failing us again today."

Passengers Get Out And Push Plane Stuck On Ice
What do you do when your flight's been delayed because the plane is stuck in ice? Get out and push!
Passengers on a flight in Siberia were asked to do just that on Tuesday when temperatures dropped to -52 at the Igarka airport, As the clip above shows, pushing a frozen plane is apparently no big deal over there because the passengers handled it the way most of us would handle pushing a car stuck in the mud.

Planet Earth in 4K
A time-lapse of Earth in 4K resolution (click on the setting option, on the bottom right of the video, and select the 4K option), as imaged by the geostationary Elektro-L weather satellite, from May 15th to May 19th, 2011. Elektro-L is located ~40,000 km above the Indian ocean, and it orbits at a speed that causes it to remain over the same spot as the Earth rotates. The satellite creates a 121 megapixel image (11136x11136 pixels) every 30 minutes with visible and infrared light wavelengths. The images were edited to adjust levels and change the infrared channel from orange to green to show vegetation more naturally. The images were resized by 50%, misalignments between frames were manually corrected, and image artifacts that occurred when the camera was facing towards the sun were partially corrected. The images were interpolated by a factor of 20 to create a smooth animation. The animation was rendered in the Youtube 4K UHD resolution of 3840x2160. An original animation file with a resolution of (5568x5568) is available on request.
To answer frequently asked questions; why are city lights, the Sun, and other stars not visible? City lights are not visible because they are thousands of times less bright than the reflection of sunlight off the Earth. If the camera was sensitive enough to detect city lights, the Earth would be overexposed. The Sun is not visible due to mechanisms used to protect the camera CCD from direct exposure to sunlight. A circular mask on the CCD ensures that only the Earth is visible. This mask can be seen as pixelation on Earth's horizon. The mask also excludes stars from view, although they would not be bright enough to be visible to this camera.

Man Calmly Admits to Arson on Live TV
A Rockville, Maryland man admits to ABC7 TV crew that he set a house on fire and then walks up to two police officers and tells them the same thing
Although "Carlos" provided ABC7 News with an unsolicited street-side admission, detectives say he went quiet at the police station, requesting a defense attorney to speak on his behalf. Police later arrested and charged him. They are calling ABC 7's on-camera interview a crucial piece of evidence, and have requested a raw copy of the clip.

Burglars Brzaen Albany Bakery Robbery Captured on Video
A pair of sophisticated burglars wearing ski masks and gloves broke into Albany Bakery in Crown Heights last night, and made off with a substantial sum of cash. A surveillance video captured footage of the daring robbery, which took less than 15 minutes from start to finish.
The incident occurred at around 2:30am early Monday morning. Taking advantage of a school bus parked in front of the bakery, which gave them cover from passing vehicles, the burglars approached the shop and, after several attempts, broke the lock with a crowbar. Click Here for more info.

Death to England! Death to Israel!" The sermon was broadcast on Iran's TV Channel 1.

Tractor Trailer Jumping Over Racing Car
Stunt drivers risked death to break a world record this week for longest jump and they did it all in the name of advertising. A tractor trailer driven by expert stuntman Mike Ryan jumped 83 feet and 7 inches over a Formula F1 car driven by Martin Ivanov in a commercial for the data company EMC Enterprise.
The advertisement feels cinematic as it begins with a driver walking through the fog as he prepares to drive his vehicle before the record setting stunt. The cars meet side by side until the tractor trailer makes it's way up a ramp and all the way over the Formula F1 car. The tractor trailer smashes back down towards the roadand miraculously no one was harmed.

Chasdei Hashem - Yehuda Glick Released from Hospital
Roughly four weeks after he was shot at close range in an attempt on his life, Temple Mount rights activist Yehuda Glick was released from Shaarei Tzedek hospital Monday, where he called his recovery a "miracle."
Glick made the blessing "for he who raises the dead" at a press conference Monday, and thanked G-d and the medical team at the hospital for saving him from his brush with death.
Glick, who was injured very seriously during the assassination attempt, is still suffering from speech difficulties, among other things, due to damage to his respiratory system. Glick – who founded and heads the LIBA Initiative for Jewish Freedom on the Temple Mount – was shot in the chest on October 29 outside the Begin Heritage Center in Jerusalem. The shooter pulled up in a motorcycle or scooter, confirmed Glick's identity before shooting.
He had been speaking, minutes before being shot, at an event for Jewish rights on the Temple Mount that had hosted leading religious figures and MKs. Prior to the attack he had been repeatedly targeted in an online hate campaign, which has since threatened other Temple Mount activists.
Last Thursday the IDF Homefront Command issued a warning order of two days for the house of Mu'taz Hijazi, the Islamic Jihad terrorist who shot Glick, to be evacuated prior to its demolition. Hijazi, who was eliminated as he fought back during Yamam special forces attempts to apprehend him, lived in the Abu Tur neighborhood of eastern Jerusalem. He also was employed in a restaurant at the Begin Heritage Center where the shooting took place - despite having spent 11 years in jail for terrorism, a sentence lengthened twice for assaulting prison guards.
Most Rabbonim are vehemently opposed to Yidden ascending Har Habayis, since walking there is Sofek Koreis, as walking on the Makom Hamikdosh itslef is a certain Isur Koreis, and is Metamah the area.

World's Tallest Roller Coaster To Be
Coming soon to an anxiety attack near you!
A point-of-view animation video has unveiled plans for the world’s tallest roller coaster: a jaw-dropping, adrenaline-pumping monster that shoots you 570 feet into the air at 65 miles per hour.“Skyscraper,” which is scheduled to open in Orlando in 2017, is built vertically. A towering white structure serves as the base for the coaster’s track to loop and climb for a terrifying four minutes.
Currently, Kingda Ka at Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson, New Jersey holds the record for world’s tallest roller coaster at 456 feet. The attraction will be built on top of “Skyplex,” a sprawling 495,000-square-foot $250 million shopping and entertainment complex to be built on Orlando’s International Drive. Aside from the record-breaking coaster, the center plans to have restaurants, bars, rock-climbing and arcades. Construction is set to begin in 2015. For the faint of heart, “Skyscraper” will have an observation deck at 535 feet. So curious tourists can experience the views — but without a barf bag.
