Bet Shemesh Havdalah Concert with Menachem Herman

On Shabbos Parshat Noach, 24/25 October 2014 in more than 212 cities and 33 countries all around the globe Jews united to keep Shabbos together, many for the first time in their lives.

As part of this worldwide Shabbat Project, in Bet Shemesh, Israel, events were held before, during and after Shabbat. Challah baking for close to a thousand women, a massive outdoor Kabbalat Shabbat and other special services, community and neighborhood Shabbat meals and home hospitality, dynamic and entertaining speakers and more.

The festivities climaxed with a beautiful and inspiring Havdalah and an unforgettable achdut concert. The Menachem Herman Band captivated the audience with music and uplifting stories for the soul – as Jews from the most diverse backgrounds enthusiastically sung and danced together in a memorable atmosphere of unity and simcha.
