Blatant apporkosis to suggest that that was the reason why Avraham and Yitzchok had Yishmoel and Esau respectively. It's clear that it was the will of H-shem that there should be a Yishmoel and an Esau (that we suffer from still today). I am very surprised at Benny Friedman that he could speak in such a way as if to imply that Avraham and Yitzchok were to blame for bringing such children on to this world.
they are not saying that avraham and yitzchak were not good parents it explains the difference between the avos in chassidus. avraham was kav hachessed yitzchak kav hagevurah while yaakov was tiferes there are different maalos in each of the avos. noone is saying that anyone was wrong. they are just bringing a lesson for our generation from the avos. as it says maase avos siman lebonim. although i would like to know the makor for their dvar torah. and further explanation is needed

100% kefira to say that the Avos didn't know how to parent. And to imply we should be like Yaakov, and NOT like Avrohom and Yitzchok?!?
This is terrible!!

"Far a naar vast men nisht kein halb arbet"
Learn some more chassidus and you'll see that what they're saying is actually correct.
Come on Benny!
