Dozens of students of the Ohali Avraham Talmud Torah school in the Kiryat Herzog neighborhood of Bnei Brak were forced to study Thursday under heavy rain that penetrated the roof of the dilapidated building.
The educational institution has been claiming for a long time that infrastructure is being neglected and that this is a real danger to life, as the electricity infrastructure could also be damaged by the falling rain.
Rabbi Binyamin Fahima, who taught the 7-year-olds the story of the butler and the baker of Genesis, was forced to pass between them, with a umbrella above his head held in one hand and a shovel of water from the ceiling held in the other.

From the author: "I was baking cookies in the kitchen and this man tried slamming his body into my door to break it down. On his third attempt, he knocked himself out and collapsed on the railing. He ran away after he was able to pull himself up. The police found him in a ditch and an ambulance took him away."

Joey Newcomb - Borei - Music Video
Its finally here! Borei Pri Ha'etz, The Brachos Song or whatever you would like to call it. The song that many have been waiting for. After performing it at camps and many other events, its about time that we share it with world!
I originally composed this song without words while I was sitting alone at a table one Motzei Shabbos. It remained without words for a while, until I heard the following story:
A Kiruv Rabbi was once approached by a non-observant Jew who was on his way to Torah observance. He asked the Rabbi, “Can I ask you one question about religious Jews?” "Of course," said the Rabbi. “Why is it that whenever a Jew eats or drinks something, there seems to be a twitch?” The Rabbi looked at him in astonishment! "A twitch?" the Rabbi asked. To which the Jew said "yes, they make some strange movement with their mouths before eating." The Rabbi then realized that unfortunately for too many of us, a ‘Bracha’ has become just a movement of the mouth.
The moment I heard this story, the words of the song came to me. So believe it or not, it was written with depth.

Chupah Emotions - Shlomo Yakov Weber, Zemiros
You’ve heard a passionate Badchen at a Mitzva Tantz. You’ve seen an emotionally charged Chupa. But to live and experience both at once, that’s a first.
The brain-storm of renowned Badchen Shlomo Yakov Weber, son of esteemed Badchen Pinky Weber; performing live under a Chupa, evoking raw emotions of Chosson & Kallah and all bystanders, took place a short few weeks ago on the busy streets of Williamsburg, at the Chupa of Avrumi Kalish.
Accompanied by the warm harmonious vocals of the Zemiros Choir, the mellifluous tones of Flutist Avromi Basch, the euphonious sounds of Keyboardist Yitzchok Kornblue - Kornblue Productions and the soothing acoustics of Guitarist Pinny Lunger.
Pull a chair, as this will have you gazing in awe while lifting every hair.
