Sukkos 5778 with Rebbes & Communities

Every year, R' Shlomo Yehuda Rechnitz, takes part in the Simchas Beis Hashoeiva at the Mir'er Yeshiva and delivers a keynote speech in which he presents his view on some of the most burning issues in the Jewish world. The highlight is when he teaches the Avreichim and Bochrim a new song, witch he composed specially for the event.

During the event, Rabbi Shlomo Yehuda spoke of a conversation he had with the Gaon Rabbi Asher Arieli Shlit"a, about the halacha in the Shulchan Aruch, in which it is interpreted that all the songs will be Botel when Moshiach comes, except for "Mizmor L'soido". R' Asher asked him, since he is known as a famous composer, to write a song on these words, and this song will not be Botel forever. Rechnitz explained that in his opinion such a song must include all the words of the Mizmor for it to be "Sholem", and although it is not easy to compose a song like this, he wants to teach them the new song.

The event in the Sucah was musically accompanied by Eli Klein, together with the "Malchus Choir", conducted by Rabbi Pinchas Bichler. Within a few minutes, the thousands learned the wonderful song and throughout the Beis Yisroel neighborhood the words of Dovid Hamelech were heard: "Deu Ki Hashem Hu Haelokim, Hu Asanu"

Watch the uplifting moments from the event.

School Bus Road Rage

Police in Baltimore say they have made an arrest in a bizarre case of road rage involving a school bus full of students.

One of the students shot the video in their cell phone of a man clinging to the front of the moving bus. The man repeatedly banged on the hood of the bus in anger and demanded the bus driver open the door to the bus.

Police say he was trying to get on the bus after he says a bottle was thrown from the bus and hit his car. The man was arrested by police.

Bear Wheel Drive

Just when this Florida family thought they escaped danger by evacuating ahead of Hurricane Irma, nature had a different surprise in store for them.

Travis Gonzalez of West Palm Beach could be seen opening his car door to let a family of bears out of his SUV before dashing back into the house in a video he posted online

Gonzalez and his family were staying in a cabin in Pigeon Forge, Tenn., as they waited out the storm.

Unfortunately, he forgot to lock his car doors and returned to find the mother bear and her cubs ripping out parts of the dashboard, tearing off the rear view mirror and breaking the locks. The front seats of his car were also torn apart.

Young Boy Photobombed by Huge Whale

This is the incredible moment a stunned youngster was photobombed by a huge whale breaching right in front of him during a father and son fishing trip.

The little boy was filmed grinning for the camera during an expedition with Nootka Wilderness Lodge on the West Coast of Vancouver Island, Canada.

Speeding through the water, the youngster is clearly enjoying the thrill of the ride when a huge whale breaches the water just yards from the boat.

Epic Bar Mitzvah

Leizer Galperin’s Bar Mitzvah of the Century, which took place at Maritime Parc on Monday August 7th, was not just a Bar Mitzvah.  It was not simply an elaborate event.  It wasn’t just a party attended by many of the most celebrated Jewish entertainers today. It was much more than the sum of its part.

It was the ultimate display of absolute goodness; from the part of the inimitable Event Architect and Director, Isaac Leider of VitalOne, to the unaffiliated Jew who agreed to wrap tefillin in front of a huge audience for the first time in forty years. In between there was a marching band, a helicopter fly-over, a Navy seal presentation, a boat, two limousines, fireworks and more, all accompanied by the ultimate in Jewish catering and cuisine.

Thousands of Jews across the globe have been moved by the plight of young Leizer, a now 13-year-old Israeli who was severely burned over 85% of his body at the tender age of 5.  Isaac first encountered the Galperin family when his organization, VitalOne, successfully transported Leizer from Israel to Shriners Hospital in Cincinnati, the preeminent pediatric burn center in the world, for life saving surgery and care.  Since that time, Isaac has developed a strong bond with Leizer and his family.
