Ha'aderes V’Haemunah - Kumzitz with Rav Hilel Paley

Leading up to the days of Rosh Hashana, Song writer Rabbi Hillel Paley teaches the Nigun "Ha'aderes V’Haemunah" to the students of the Yeshiva in Ramat Gan. The Nigun seems like an altered version of the Chabad Nigun Ha'aderes V’Haemunah (also recorded on Tzlil V'Zemer volume 1).

Chabad's Hakhel Event Live from CH - Ended

The "Hakhel Year" is an opportune time to promote Jewish unity and gatherings.

The Mitzvah of Hakhel is only in effect when all the Jewish people reside in the Holy Land with a Jewish king, a built Beis Hamikdash, and on a specific day. May it be speedily on our days.

Nevertheless, the Lubavitcher Rebbe repeatedly encouraged all Jews to utilize this auspicious time to assemble– men, women and children – and encourage each other to increase in Torah observance and study, and foster an environment of fear of G‑d.

With only a few days left to this "Shnas Hakhel", a mega event was arranged outside 770 Eastern Parkway, in the Crown Heights section of Brooklyn.

Line up produced by Chony Milecki includes: Benny Friedman, Yossi Cohen's Kapelya, Chaim Fogelman, Avi Piamenta, A brand new choir by Fitche Benshimon. Accompanied by Chony Milecki with a 15 piece band conducted by Avremi G.

Man Zapped Trying to Steal Booby-Trapped Trump Sign

A fed-up Donald Trump supporter took matters into his own hands after his Trump signs kept being stolen or vandalized. A home surveillance camera captured a neighborhood sign thief attempting to snatch the sign from the front lawn. But to the thief's surprise, the homeowner had booby-trapped the sign and instead, he got an electric shock that sent him scurrying away. In the clip, the man is first seen walking with a stroller, then returns later by himself. The creator of the video claims that the man was later charged with trespassing.

Deer Hit by SUV Comes Back for Fight

A deer that was hit by an SUV in New Jersey wasn't going down without a fight. A police vehicle's in-car camera captured what happened after Ellen Sager struck the animal ( at the 0:03 second mark) on Sept. 17 in Howell Township.

Sager stopped and opened her door so she could look at the damage. The patrolman pulled over to help when the buck ran back across the road and tried to jump into Sager's driver's seat. The deer attempted to climb over her before she managed to kick it away and close the door. Sager sustained a minor injury to her knee. The deer died from its injuries.

Rostover Nigun by Young Violinist

Child violinist Chaim Chitrik plays the "Rostover Nigun."

This is one of the more serious of the Chabad melodies, characterized by its deep feeling and soul searching expression. The 5th Lubavitcher Rebbe "Rashab", Rabbi Sholom DovBer, was fond of this melody and sang it often. During World-War I, he left his native city of Lubavitch and settled in southern Russia, where he resided until his passing in 5680 (1920). It is therefore known as the Rostover Nigun- melody. The melody is usually sung before the Lubavitcher Rebbe began his Torah or Chassidic discourses.

Lev Tahor Community Moves Once More

The Lev Tahor community of around 500 ultra-orthodox Jews moved from their home in Santa Rosa, 35 miles outside of Guatemala City on Sunday after police raids earlier in the month. “The State of Israel is responsible for this situation” accused board member Uriel Goldman.

Goldman described the raid saying “three hundred police men arrived at the community with a violent attitude.” The Guatemalan authorities said the action was undertaken to investigate allegations of child abuse and, at the request of Israeli authorities, to search for a girl barred from leaving Israel. “They are attacking the community through the children,” claimed Goldman.

The group, which includes around 150 minors, has bought land in Oratorio where they will live in tents before they can build housing. In 2014 the Lev Tahor community was expelled from their first settlement in the municipality of San Juan La Laguna after problems arose with the local people.

Benny Friedman - B'sefer Chaim - New Single

With the advent of the brand new year of 5777, Benny Friedman releases a melodious good year wish to the community, an upbeat song called "B'sefer Chaim."

"Lchaim, Lchaim, Lchaim Tovim..." goes the refrain, and Benny hopes the gentle but cheerful notes will inspire people to prepare for the new year with a sense of optimism.

Just in this one short Tefilla, we make eight requests of Hashem for the upcoming year," says Benny, "because this is our tradition: hold nothing back, Daven for everything, and start the year confidently with incredible faith and trust that when we ask for good things, our dear Father in Heaven will certainly provide it.

Referencing the Baal HaTanya's famous parable of a king visiting the people in the field and greeting them all smilingly and lovingly, Benny says he hopes the song will remind Yidden that even more than we want to be blessed, Hashem wants to bless us. Who wouldn't be ecstatic to hear that? So let's greet the year joyfully.

The song is composed by Eli Klein, arranged by Eli Klein and Yitzy Berry and produced by Sruly Meyer.

Samsung Kosher Smartphone Commercial

Samsung, in partnership with the Israeli company Askan, debuted a “kosher” smartphone for users seeking to avoid religiously offensive content.

“We chose Askan as a partner because the company helps the haredi society, which wants to make use of smart mobile devices, and gain access to our advanced instruments in complete conformity with their lifestyle,” said Guy Hibash, director of Samsung Israel’s enterprise division.

Askan creates technology that can program phones with Internet filters in order to block content that haredi users would consider offensive. The “kosher” operating system will run on various Samsung phones, including the Galaxy S6 and S7 series as well as the A5 and J1 models.

People Sitting on a Bench Lucky to be Alive

Just a routine day in Russia…

It was a normal day at this roundabout in some Russian city, cars passing by, people walking to wherever they’re going, and it seems like a pretty calm day. When all of a sudden one bus driver decided to surprise everyone with a stunt. The bus drives straight through the roundabout and into the center garden, almost hitting two separate people sitting on a bench. Phew, that was close!

Airbus Family Formation Flight

They man not twist and turn with the grace and dexterity of the Red Arrows display team but these Airbus pilots did a fine job, considering the size of their planes.

Four of the monster aircraft took to the skies this week for a 'family' display - consisting of the A380, A350, A330 and A320neo.

In a perfectly synchronized show of power and control, the quartet flew in a row and banked in unison, as seen in this amazing footage.

The dazzling display marks 25 years of Airbus's 'commonality' feature.

This refers to the similarity of computer systems deployed across the fleet - such as 'fly-by-wire' electronic controls - which makes pilot training, operations and maintenance easier and more efficient. The formation flying would have proved quite a sight from their windows, had there been passengers on board - and these planes have room for plenty of those.

The two-class A380, for example, can hold a staggering 615 travellers on two spacious decks.

Emirates was the first airline to order the original A380 and is the largest operator of the aircraft, carrying almost 47million passengers since the revolutionary aircraft was introduced to its fleet in 2008. The A320neo - as in 'new engine option' - first flew in September 2014 above the skies of southern France, amid high demand for its promised fuel economy. The neo is a mid-range jet that generally seats up to 180 passengers.
