Happy Purim - Official Trailer

Purim is the happiest day in the Jewish calendar. It commemorates the day when, back in the ancient Persian Empire, the Jewish people were saved from slaughter. It is a time for celebration, sharing joy and giving back to those less fortunate.

Ultra-Orthodox Jews are famously as strict about observing the rules of their faith as they are defiant to modernity, yet for this film they let the cameras explore their celebration with enthusiasm. The film follows a diverse cross-section of society - from the charity workers helping the poor, to the rabbis preparing to read the Book of Esther and the women preparing the food and drinks – giving us a deep insight into what makes Purim so special to the Jewish community.

This documentary is a fascinating exploration of a key moment in Jewish life, both spiritually and socially. Director Ori Gruder, an ultra-Orthodox Jew himself, shows how deference towards the rites blends with daily secular life, and his insider's voice makes us feel like we're invited at the table with everyone else.

Helicopter Crashes Just Metres From Vacationers

This is the horrifying moment a helicopter crashed at a Fiji resort island just metres from where an Australian tourist was dining - and all seven people on board remarkably walked away unscathed.
The helicopter crashed dramatically as it was trying to land at Treasure Island resort, just off the west coast of Fiji, on Wednesday afternoon.

Footage shot by a tourist showed the helicopter coming in to land and hovering just inches above the helipad for several seconds before eventually touching down.

But as soon as the landing skids touched the ground, the helicopter lurched forward and veered into nearby trees - dangerously close to onlookers. There were six passengers and a pilot on board the helicopter but remarkably there were no fatalities. It is believed the helicopter may have been caught up by a strong gust of wind just as it was trying to land.

The second Israeli fatality from the Palestinian knife attack in the Old City of Jerusalem on Wednesday has been identified as Reuven Birmacher, 45, a father of seven from the town of Kiryat Ye'arim.

“Just after 12:30 p.m., two Palestinians carried out a stabbing attack here,” said Police spokesman Micky Rosenfeld shortly after the assault.

“As a result, three Israelis were injured; two of them seriously, one of them moderately-to-seriously. Humpback Whales’ Feeding Frenzy Captured By Drones

A drone captures a group of hungry humpback whales lunge feeding on huge shoals of herring. Shot in November by wildlife filmmaker Patrick Dykstra, 36, in Northern Norway, this incredibly rare footage shows the giant sea mammals hunting in unison. The US photographer saw around 100 humpbacks in the same area, each weighing around 30 tons. Lunge feeding involves whales swallowing massive amounts of fish and then pushing out the water with their tongues. Colorado born Patrick, who has swam with humpbacks on five different continents, revealed it is unusual to see this type of behaviour happening in groups.

Playing Chicken with a Missile

This is the moment a driver dodged an incoming missile heading straight for his pick-up truck by waiting until the last moment before hitting the accelerator. The motorist displayed nerves of steel as the rocket flew straight for his vehicle, which lurched out of the way as the projectile shot past and exploded in a building behind.

It is alleged to have taken place in Syria and the person in the white pick-up truck is a Hezbollah fighter, due to a yellow flag seen near the car.

The tube-launched, optically tracked, wire-guided (TOW) missile was launched from quite some distance away and is seen heading towards its target for 24 seconds before the last-gasp manoeuvre.

It appears to be fired from a hillside while a voice can be heard off camera in an apparent radio transmission as the missile heads towards the town.

The driver's actions are made all the more impressive because if they had moved too early, the missile would have simply changed course and followed the vehicle.

By waiting until the last minute the driver ensured the missile would not have time to change direction before its impact with the building.

Hezbollah is a Lebanon-based militant organisation that is pro-Assad and has been fighting for the Syrian government in the Syrian Civil War since 2013. It is unknown who fired the missile as it could have been one of several opponents including ISIS, the Free Syrian Army, the Islamic Front or Jaish al-Fatah.

TOW missiles are capable of destroying tanks and are widely used throughout the world. The shooter guides the projectile by keeping the target within their sites until it impacts. They were first produced in 1970 and developed by American aerospace firm Hughes Aircraft in the 1960s. The weapons were first used by the US Army in South Vietnam in 1972.

Uziya Tzadok's Historical Performance of "K'Shehalev"

Israel's Channel Two’s "School of Music" or "Beit Sefer L’Musica" junior talent show competition reached its final stage just over a week ago, with our very own 13-year-old Uziya Tzadok from Avnei Chefetz in the north of the Shomron, crowned as the winner of the third season.

“Beit Sefer L’Musica” is a reality television show. Children with extraordinary musical abilities compete in a format similar to other known singing competitions.

Uziya Tzadok, sings "K'Shehalev Bocheh" live at the finale of "Beit Sefer L’Musica." This may very well be the greatest performance by a child soloist ever recorded.

Police Officer Taken For Unscheduled Ride

This is the shocking moment a policeman was dragged along half-a-mile down roads in China when he stopped a pedicab for a routine inspection.

Appearing as though he might have something to hide, the pedicab driver sped off as the police officer lent in through the window.

The insistent policeman, however, held onto the motor-trike and was taken for an unscheduled ride through the city, narrowly avoiding hitting into other vehicles.

The film-like drama happened in the city of Lichuan, in China’s northern Hebei Province, and was recorded on the dashcam of a motorist following behind.

The policeman can be seen clinging to the side of the pedicab as its driver, keen to avoid showing his documents to the authorities, speeds away and tries to shake the officer off the vehicle. After half-a-mile, and with the officer still in tow, the motorist recording the footage from behind decides to intervene and accelerates to overtake the pedicab, cutting in front of it to stop the driver. Traffic cameras then show the brave motorist’s stunt, which helped stop the pedicab and possibly saved the officer’s life as well. The pedicab driver, whose documents were found to be out of order, was arrested on the spot and taken into custody by police.

The brave motorist was thanked for his assistance and will receive compensation for any damage done to his vehicle during the incident.

"The Lost Treasure" A Sequel to "The Golden Crown" 25 Years Later

Just over 25 years ago, the team that brought you the smash hit series The Marvelous Midos Machine, released a Zaydie style story tape, The Golden Crown, which has since developed a massive cult following. Now, a quarter of a century after it's release Akiva and Yehuda finally make their way back to Zaydie's house, to enjoy another exciting, suspenseful, and magical tale.

"For years, I've heard fans like myself wishfully dreaming of a new installment of The Golden Crown", says producer Shimmy Shtauber, of The Story Experience & When Zaidy Was Young 3 fame. "And B"H, it's finally here, complete with all the familiar flavor and charm we've all come to know and love!"

Featuring the return of the entire cast of The Marvelous Midos Machine and The Golden Crown, and a story by bestselling author Etka Gitel Schwartz based on the plot by Abie Rotenberg, along with original songs by Abie Rotenberg, Baruch Levine and Rabbi Shmuel Klein, Shtauber cut no corners in ensuring that Crown fans will be getting something that justifies the 25 year wait.

"The level of acting, sound effects and music on this album is beyond anything that's ever been done on a story tape before. We even had the timeless "Story Song" redone with a full orchestra and live string section, arranged by the great Yanky Briskman and resung by Abie. The result is something you gotta hear to believe!"

The album also features child soloist Tzvi Simchon of the Miami Boys Choir, and a guest appearance by world renowned superstar Shlomo Simcha.
