Climbing World’s 2nd Tallest Building Without A Rope
A pair of Russian men have taken scaling skyscrapers to new heights. Vadim Makhorov and Vitaliy Raskalov released footage of their incredible freestyle climb 2000 feet above the ground atop China’s tallest building — and boy, is it tall.
To make matters even more death-defying, the pair climbed the tower without any safety equipment… or permission. “Mum is going be shocked!” they can be heard saying in Russian. The footage details their ascent to the top of the building, including breaking in, scaling walls, breaking through the cloud cover, perilously clinging to grates and flimsy ladders hundreds of feet above the ground and finally, their crowning moment: making it to the very top.
It took the duo two hours to climb the partially constructed Shanghai Tower in China’s Lujiazui district. Neither suffered any injuries during the climb, but they did lose more than a day’s sleep due to the physical and mental effects such a climb has on the body. The building stands at an incredible 2,073 feet tall. The Burj Khalifa, at 2,722 feet, in the UAE is the only building in the world to surpass the height of the Shanghai Tower. In comparison, the new Once World Trade Center in New York stands at a measly 1,776 feet.

Camera Falls From a Plane Into a Pig Pen
Incredible footage recovered from a GoPro thought to have fallen out of a plane shows its dizzying journey through the air before it came to rest in a pig pen. Seconds later the video recovered from it shows the camera surrounded by hogs wanting to sniff what must have seemed a very mysterious object that fell out of the sky and into their yard.
In the video you can see a diver playing around in the aircraft and filming the scenery before it apparently falls out of their hand. Plunging thousands of feet to the ground, it crazily spins around for several seconds — causing a psychedelic effect to the recorded video. It then lands with its lens pointing upward after its crash-landing a pig wanders over for a good sniff before licking the gadget
Some speculated that the clip is fake by claiming the camera doesn't meet terminal velocity and that, based on the height it fell from then the speed is wrong.
From the author: "Camera falls from a sky diving airplane and lands on my property in my pig pen. I found the camera 8 months later and viewed this video."

Lady & Dog hit by Surprise Wave
A woman and her dog got swept away by a storm surge on Tramore beach in Ireland. The sea had gone quiet for over 30 minutes when suddenly a large wave came over the sea wall and caught the lady and her dog out. When you're out looking at storms be very careful as the ocean is a very powerful force and can surge at any time. Keep well back from the coastline. This could happen to anyone at any stage. The woman and her well looked after dog are okay now.
Controversy Surrounds Kiryas Joel Land Deal
Monroe, NY - On Tuesday, Orange County Executive Steve Neuhaus pledged that the county will take an active role in overseeing a controversial land deal to double in size the ultra-Orthodox Hassidic community of Kiryas Joel.
After weeks of allegations and rising tensions on both sides, the attorney hired by the consulting firm spearheading the annexation called the intense criticism anti-Semitic. United Monroe, a group against the annexation, says their concerns have nothing to do with religion or culture, but rather the impact of the proposed plan.
Orange County Legislator Mike Anagnostakis says that Kiryas Joel gets more social services than dozens of municipalities combined.
The Town of Monroe held its first public hearing on the controversial land deal Monday night. The Department of Environmental Conservation is in the process of reviewing the plan. The decision is expected within the next few weeks.

What "Non-Violent" Palestinian Protests Really Look Like
Every Friday, a similar scene repeats itself in Palestinian villages throughout Judea and Samaria. As Israeli soldiers do their best to keep the region secure, Palestinians throw rocks in unprovoked attacks against IDF forces. Israel protects the right of Palestinians to protest peacefully, but so-called "Palestinian demonstrations" often turn violent.

Hungry Bear Loose In NYC
A robotic replica of a 1,400-pound bear was set loose on the streets in New York City in an online video to promote Chobani yogurt's
The bear could only eat food made with natural ingredients, so the standard fare from food trucks in Manhattan such as pretzels, hot dogs and stacks of pizza were non-starters for the animal, who terrorized a few carts. The animal roared at quite a few terrified New Yorkers, but a lot of passersby just looked at the loose wild animal with bemusement and snapped pictures with their phones.
The stunt was a real-world extension of the Chobani commercial in which a bear throws a tantrum in a small town's general store because it can't find food with 100% natural ingredients. The bear finally settles on a honey Chobani yogurt, though the clerk is too terrified to ring the animal up.

Gigantic Avalanche Tumbling Down The Italian Alps
A terrifying avalanche in the Italian Alps which felled trees and destroyed buildings was captured in a stunning high definition video.
The video, shot in the Passiria valley in South Tyrol, Italy, shows thousands of tonnes of snow tumbling down a mountain side, destroying everything in its path. Farm buildings and inns in the village of Pill were evacuated just in time, with 25 locals taken to safety by car and helicopter. One of the farmers filmed the stunning video from a safe distance on a hill on the other side of the valley on Thursday Feb 6 2014. The snow tumbled down the mountain for more than five minutes, taking out huge ferns and buildings and blocking road access to the village. Nobody was injured in the avalanche.

Tight-Rope Walking Between Two Hot-Air Balloons
A filmmaker has created a nailbiting video of a group of daredevils attempting to tightrope walk between two hot-air balloons. Filmmaker Sébastien Montaz-Rosset shot the exploits of a group of French adventurers who call themselves Skyliners as they attempted the death-defying feat. The group strung up a line between two hot-air balloons then launched them high into the skies before attempting to walk across the tightrope.
None of the walkers managed to make it all the way across the line before falling. Many were wearing small cameras on their heads to capture first-person footage of the exhilarating stunt. None of the footage shows the tightrope walkers drifting to the ground on parachutes, but presumably that's what the tiny packs on their backs contain.
While none of the Skyliners were successful in their first hot-air balloon tightroping bid, the crew intend to make another attempt within days. THe hot-air balloon is the oldest successful human-carrying flight technology. The very first untethered balloon was launched from Paris in 1783 by Jean-François Pilâtre de Rozier and François Laurent d'Arlandes.

Settlers Mock Kerry's Peacemaking With Spoof Video
Trying humor over hectoring, Israeli ultra-nationalists have lampooned U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry in a video campaign against his troubled quest for peace between the Jewish state and the Palestinians.
The two-minute-long clip features an actor playing a buffoonish Kerry as he tours the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem, areas where Palestinians seek statehood but which Israel sees as a Jewish birthright and security buffer. The spoof followed harder criticism of the top U.S. diplomat from within Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s rightist government. One minister was quoted as calling Kerry “messianic” while another said he was expecting the Jewish state to negotiate with a gun to its head.
Some 500,000 Israelis live in the West Bank and East Jerusalem, under military guard, among 2.4 million Palestinians. Most world powers deem the settlements on land Israel took in the 1967 Middle East war to be illegal.
