God & Jerusalem are Booed by Many at DNC
Needled by Mitt Romney and other Republicans, Democrats hurriedly rewrote their convention platform Wednesday to add a mention of God and declare Jerusalem the capital of Israel after President Barack Obama intervened to order the changes.
The embarrassing reversal was compounded by chaos and uncertainty on the convention floor, requiring three votes before a ruling that the amendments had been approved. Many in the audience booed the decision.
The revisions came as Obama struggles to win support from white working-class voters, many of whom have strong religious beliefs, and as Republicans try to woo Jewish voters and contributors away from the Democratic Party. Republicans claimed the platform omissions suggested Obama was weak in his defense of Israel and out of touch with mainstream Americans.
GOP officials argued that not taking a position on Jerusalem’s status in the party platform raised questions about Obama’s support for the Mideast ally. Romney said omitting God “suggests a party that is increasingly out of touch with the mainstream of the American people.”
“I think this party is veering further and further away into an extreme wing that Americans don’t recognize,” Romney said. Click Here for full report.
Pretty interesting how instead of being separated as two separate votes, God and Jerusalem were linked into one vote. For truthfully they are linked in a great way.

Does Obama Support Israel or Does he Not?
Charlotte, North Carolina (CNN) – The Democrats' official platform, released late Monday, omits a clause from the party's 2008 document proclaiming Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, a subject of intense diplomatic scrutiny that Obama's Republican challenger Mitt Romney has put at the center of his position on the Jewish state.
In 2008, Democrats wrote in their platform, "Jerusalem is and will remain the capital of Israel. The parties have agreed that Jerusalem is a matter for final status negotiations. It should remain an undivided city accessible to people of all faiths."
The 2012 platform contains no reference to Jerusalem, and maintains support for a two-state solution between Israel and Palestinians.
But the platform does read, "The President's consistent support for Israel's right to defend itself and his steadfast opposition to any attempt to delegitimize Israel on the world stage are further evidence of our enduring commitment to Israel's security."
The 2012 platform also omits a reference to Israel as America's "strongest ally in the region," language present in the platform four years ago.

Baby Duckies Survive Busy Highway Crossing
A heart-stopping drama played out on a Toronto-area highway when a mother duck and her flock of baby ducklings tried to scoot across four lanes of traffic, Last week, The daring travails of the duck family caught the amazed attention of a CTV News Chopper cameraman, who videotaped their mission to escape Highway 407, near Dixie Road north of Toronto. Aerial footage shows the ducks wandering along a median between the east and west lanes of the toll highway, before slipping through a hole in the cement barrier and lurching into traffic.
What follows is a few tense minutes of heart-stopping footage of obligatory adorable baby duckies skipping, Frogger-style, through gaps in traffic and being scattered in all directions by wind gusts as cars and trucks speed past. It appears the ducklings all managed to escape the highway unscathed, before the mother duck hurried the younglings away from the highway and into a grassy glen.
