Evolution Of Jewish Music

Presenting a brand new video, paying tribute to the history of Jewish Music. Some we grew up with, some our parents told us about, and some that we get our children into. A generational link between eras! As Jewish music continues to evolve, this video is meant to take observation of those changes, with a little humor and respect, and a lot of love.

The project came together in the days following the Ivri Anochi music video, by Benny Friedman, Meir Kay and Sruly Meyer. Joining together to create a tribute to all that came before what they had just completed. Inspired by this passion project, working simply for the videos greater end. Joined by Mendy Lenorovich of On Time Studios, who brought his amazing and creative talents along with his his fully equipped studio to piece together visual after visual. Avremi Berko tastefully arranged the medley featuring the songs that would make up this medley of Jewish music history, supplied with brass by Danny Flam's New York Brass. The video was additional sponsored by Bison & Bourbon who kept the crew fed during production and lifted our spirits!

Jewish Man Returns $98K Found In Secondhand Desk

Imagine buying a desk under $200 on Craigslist only to find thousands of dollars hidden inside.

That’s exactly what happened New Haven Rabbi Noach Muroff and his wife. They found a huge pile of cash after buying a desk. When the couple brought the desk home it wouldn’t fit through the door. The couple had to pull the desk apart, including the file cabinets. Behind the drawers they discovered a plastic bag filled with cash. they counted up and there’s $98,000 cash sitting in the bag. The couple couldn’t believe their eyes. They picked up the phone and called the original owner

The original owner was speechless. “Oh my gosh, because I… oh my God,” she said. The former owner had stuffed her inheritance in the desk and forgot where she put the money. The rabbi and his wife returned the cash to the rightful owner. Rabbi Muroff said the most important thing in life is to be honest.

Boy Who Failed Math Finally Passes Exam

From the author: "- The day I passed maths - Hey there everyone, the man in the video is my dad :)

One year before this video I was at a grade F in maths and in England you need a C (pass) to basically do anything with your life. I've never been amazing academically and have struggled throughout school. Neither me or my dad or my teachers thought I was going to get my C. I know some of you might be saying, 'well a C is nothing,' but for me it was hard to get."

MBD and Michoel Streicher sing Lo Omus, composed by Reb Boruch Chait upon request by Menachem OBM.

Im Hashem Lo Yivneh Bayis, sung here for the first time.

The following is a note from Mordechai Ben David, printed on the cover of the concert album:

It was a winter day in 1988. While driving down Rechov Malchei Yisroel (Geula) towards "Mea-Sh'arm", i stopped for a traffic jam and i noticed a young boy across the road staring at me. Walking straight up to my window he asked, "are you MBD?" before i could say yes he continued, "my best friend is in the hospital with the terrible sickness, you must come visit him, you'll have the biggest Mitzvah. He loves your music." He gave me an offer i couldn't refuse.

The next morning at 8:00am he was knocking at my hotel room. When we arrived at "Hadassah" it was the 1st day after 6 weeks of quarantine, that Menachem was out on a wheel chair for some fresh air with a mask covering his mouth He was overjoyed to see me. We took some pictures and spoke for a while. It was the beginning of a very unique relationship. Menachem was always surrounded by many friends and neighbors who always came around to help in every way possible. The boys form the neighboring Yeshiva "Ateres" in Bayit V'gan would always come around to study, to play, to sing or whatever would lift the spirits of the Erental family. I had the opportunity on several occasions to join in the most wonderful "Melave Malkas" in the Erental home. We sang and danced for many hours. Click Here for More
