Amar'e has been using his time off to learn about Jewish culture and stopped by Sesame Street to teach Shalom Sesame fans the Hebrew word "Tov", which means "good". A New Music Video Being Released in Advance of Rubashkin Documentary, the new music video shows exclusive footage from Rubashkin's Game Plan, the long awaited documentary film focusing both on the Rubashkin case and dual reaction of anger and solidarity from the Jewish community following the harsh sentence handed down in the case.
The song, titled Yedid Nefesh, features an original composition by Danny Finkelman performed by Bentzi Marcus of 8th Day and Dovid Dachs. Yedid Nefesh features footage of the events that led up to the miscarriage of justice that is known as the Rubashkin case: Rubashkin's first arrest on charges of violating immigration and child labor laws, the largest immigration raid ever conducted in the United States at the Postville, Iowa Agriprocessors plant and Sholom Mordechai Rubashkin's second arrest on charges of financial fraud, resulting in an unusually harsh sentence of twenty seven years in prison.

More than 5,000 Lubavitch Shluchim, their guests and supporters are gathered tonight for the closing gala banquet highlighting the weekend-long International Conference of Shluchim, taking place at Pier 12 in Brooklyn.
The 28th Annual International Conference of Chabad-Lubavitch Emmissaries, started Wednesday, November 23, in the Crown Heights section Brooklyn.
The production teams of David Sharf and Ronen Peled, along with the Rivkin family of Kolshar AV, are coordinating the banquet, which is the largest sit-down dinner in New York City.
Speakers include Rabbi Menachem Mendel Cohen of Sacramento, California, who will give the keynote address, and British Chief Rabbi Jonathan Sacks.

Thousands of Chabad Lubavitch Sheluchim spent the weekend in the Crown Heights section of Brooklyn, NY, for the annual Shluchim conference.

Hundred's volunteers of L'asurim gathered Thursday evening in the halls of Renaissance in Boro Park for the organization's Annual Appreciation Dinner. The organization consists of volunteers who visit Jewish inmates in prison year-round and assist them and their families on multiple fronts. The work is done with little fanfare yet with great dedication. the organization held an Appreciation Dinner where a luscious meal was served and musical band consisting of Lasurim volunteers entertained the attendees including Michoel Streicher, Srully Williger and Shloime Taussig

Dog Can't Sleep
This reminds me of two stories (Lehavdil). 1)The Many Gedolim and Tzadikim who would either keep their feet in cold water or tie their hair to a string so that if they fell asleep while they learned deep into the night they would immediately awaken, since their head would fall forward and pull on their hair. 2) The Gadol that didn't have a Chavrusah to speak in learning with, so instead he spoke out his learning to a dog.
