Tuvia Grossman Meets The Soldier Who Saved His Life

In 2000, the media published a photo of Tuvia Grossman, a Jewish student from Chicago -- bloodied and battered -- crouching beneath a club-wielding Israeli policeman. The caption identified him as a Palestinian victim of Israeli brutality -- with the clear implication that the Israeli soldier was the one who beat him. In fact, the policeman saved his life.

Now, ten years on, HonestReporting has reunited Tuvia and his rescuer for the first time since those terrible events. Watch the video to witness their dramatic reunion.

Bank Robbery at Apple Bank in Boro Park

Borough Park, NY - A Brooklyn bank was robbed at gunpoint this afternoon by two men, who carjacked a vehicle before firing their guns at cops, police and witnesses said.

The robbery at the Bank of America on 13th Avenue near the corner of 46th Street in Borough Park took place at about 1 p.m. After robbing the bank, the men attempted a carjacking on 48th Street between 12th and 13th avenues. They eventually dumped the car a few blocks away and fled on foot. The robbers allegedly fired at cops, who were chasing them. No cops were injured. Police caught one suspect and are still searching for the other.

Shlomo Kirshner, 23, was inside the bank when the heist took place. "The guy was wearing a ski mask and a dark colored sweatshirt. He had a black 9mm gun," he said. "The guy came in with a gun. He screamed, 'Everybody down. It's a holdup.' "He was waving the gun. He came over and he shot upwards. He was screaming, 'Give me the money.' He took not even a dollar, No one gave him anything. The whole thing lasted a minute. The tellers were on the floor. One guy ran out as they were doing the holdup. He made sure everybody was down and then he ran out." Click Here For More.
