Presenting Old Jewish Musical Jewels (O.J.M.J) which because of their age are not very well known to the younger generation.

The song will first be posted here on the main page and remain for approximately a week on the right column above the three featured videos of the week.
The eight song in this series features the "Eliyahu Hanavi" from Eli Lipsker's Children's Choir and Orcehstra on the album "Hinei Ma Tov", released in 1971. Music by the Josh Goldberg Orchestra. Arranged and conducted by Josh Goldberg.

I'm not one hundred percent sure but i believe this song was composed by Eli Lipsker.

Lyrics:

אליהו הנביא אליהו התשבי אליהו הגלעדי במהרה יבוא אלינו עם משיח בן דוד
איש אשר קנא לשם האל
איש בשר שלום על יד יקותיאל
איש גש ויכפר על בני ישראל
(Zemiros, Motzei Shabbos)

Composed by: Eli Lipsker (assumption) (pictured above left)
Soloist: Avremel Friedman AKA Avraham Fried (above right), and Eli Lipsker.

Very nice, but why is Avrohom Fried not pictured in the picture of the choir? Was he a soloist without being a choir member?

this is a reason to still be alive to glimpse into the currents that created these vocal sounds and tenu'os

This is from Eli Lipsker's second album (besides his directing the original Pirchei albums). I would love to hear the rest of the two albums.
