Vurka - Avrum Mordche Schwartz

This video was inspired by a story told about the Heiliger Rebe of Vorka. (Lived from 1779-1848.) When a brokenhearted father comes to him for a blessing, the Rebbe leaves us with an unforgettable message about the power of compassion and love for his fellow brother

Just a few years ago, the world was hit with unimaginable fear, darkness, and pain. Covid-19 hit us deeply. It was during the initial stages of the pandemic that Legendary composer Anshie Friedman composed this moving song. The message is strong and soothing. It's hard to see pain and be unable to help. But the most powerful tool is your heart. When you see someone hurting give him a shoulder to cry on.

A chassid walks into the Vorka Rebbe
Rabbi, my child is very ill,
The doctors already gave up on him
Rebbe, pray he should survive

The Rebbe closes his holy eyes
And says unfortunately the heavenly gates are closed
I cannot help you with your son
But there is one thing I can do

I could cry together with you
I could feel your pain and suffering
I won't leave you alone
I want to be with you in this painful time

The Chassid leaves brokenhearted
What will be? I can't take this anymore
In a corner the Rebbe stands concentrated in prayer
At last he hears good news

The Rebbe hurries his horses on the roads
He rushes and catches up with the chassid

On November 3rd 2021 people from all corners of Stamford Hill came together to support this special organization, praying and singing to hashem that these illnesses should come to an end, listen and enjoy!

The Shabbos of Vo'eiro I had to zechus to be in Mezebish, Ukraine at the tzion of the holy 'Baal Shem Tov' the founder of chasidus ,erev shabbos as we approached the shtetel of Mezebiz, this song was born, and after a shabbos spent in high spirits, I returned home and immediately got to recording the song.

Dear listener,

We would like to start off by thanking you for purchasing this album and supporting Jewish music. Kruvim Elyonim is about connecting to the timeless messages of yesterday, from many of our Chasidic leaders including (in no particular order): Reb Nachman of Breslov, The Szanzer Ruv, The Chasam Sofer and R’ Meir Premislan, Ahavas Yisroel of Viznitz, The Kaliver Rebbe, and the Shpoler Zaida.

These seven niggunim were put to the holy writings and themes of these holy tzaddikim for a reason; to help us connect. The songs on Kruvim Elyonim were composed over a length of time while either kumzitzing with people trying to bring them some chizuk and visiting the sick in hospitals trying take their minds off their ailments. The feelings you will get for that reason are very real, after all these songs are from the heart and Devarim Hayotzim Min Halev…

The two artists who created this masterpiece are composer extraordinaire Anshie Freidman, whose depth and meaningful melodies have resonated with many music fans out there, and vocalist/producer Avrum Mordche Schwartz, who in a relatively short time has captured audiences from all backgrounds.

The music on Kruvim Elyonim has a fresh sound. It WAS all about being creative and artistic to help you feel the song and to give them a modern feel to make it palatable. The vision of both Avrum Mordeche and Anshie was to concentrate on the art and not commercialization, although they do want to make the music commercial in the way that more people can enjoy it.

The chasidus Kretshnef Yerushelaim was established by Rabbi Tzvi Hirsch Rosenbaum, Admur Kretchnev-Sighet-Jerusalem in Kfar Atah in year 5708 to leave behind and in memory of his his father and grandfathers that were killed on Kiddush hashem in the Holocaust.

The Rebbe was known across the world to be able to Poel Yeshios, and people from all over streamed to get his sage advice on all types of matters, and receive a Broche.

When we hear the song "V’Ani b’oidi" we are reminded of the holy Rebbe Zt”l and his holy work.  The Rebbe's yrt”z will be on Tuesday, and on this day it is possible to renew and strengthen the connection with him by strengthening the institutions that bear his name. the ZCHUS of the tzadik will surely protect and give those who contribute in his merit all blessings of life livelihood and nachas.
