The Cholim of Eretz Yisroel Are Turning to Us
Sadly, hearing the heartbreaking news that one of our brothers or sisters in Eretz Yisroel is suffering with the dreaded disease is not an uncommon occurrence.
These unfortunate people are facing months of difficult testing, painful procedures, and harrowing treatments. There are many obstacles along the road to recovery. Entire families have their lives turned upside down as they deal with their new reality.
They need our help and support – financially, emotionally and practically - to navigate the perilous road ahead.
RCY Answers The Call
Rofeh Cholim Yerushalayim (RCY) – a branch of Rofeh Cholim Cancer Society (RCCS) – was founded with a goal of providing cancer patients in Israel with all the services RCCS offers their counterparts in the United States.
RCY is there for cholei Eretz Yisroel every step of the way. They assist them in navigating the bureaucracy of the Israeli health care system, finding the best doctors, obtaining access to the necessary tests, procuring spots in the top medical facilities, arranging treatments, and expediting every part of the process of emerging from dark hopelessness to a brighter future. Every cancer patient in Israel can be assured that RCY will make sure they receive the best care in the most expedient manner.
Not only does RCY stand at the side of the patient, they also provide the family with whatever they need to remain afloat during this difficult time, granting them an array of services to assist with their finances, emotional wellbeing and practical state of affairs.
No Patient Left Behind
In the last year alone, RCY has help 1,325 patients in Eretz Yisroel, of whom 780 were newly diagnosed with cancer. Boruch Hashem, many are now on the road to making a full recovery.

Yoel Dovid Goldstein "V’chosveinu Besefer HaChayim"
Since the release of his debut album over a decade and a half ago, singer and composer Yoel Dovid Goldstein has had a following of fans clamoring after him for new releases.
The last six years has seen Yoel Dovid releasing three singles and two videos of medleys. While in the studio recently with veteran producer and composer Yitzy Waldner, the two went from working on two singles to a full-fledged album. The new album, slated for release this November, has compositions from Yitzy Waldner, Eli Schachter and Yoel Dovid himself with arrangements by David Taub, Lipa Brach and Zelig Provalsky. The nine song album is the work of over two years in the studio.
One of the songs on the album is titled “V’chosveinu Besefer HaChayim,” and was composed by Eli Schachter. Yoel Dovid really connected to these words after hearing the demo. “These words are part of a special tefillah that we say Rosh Hashanah night before Maariv,” says Yoel Dovid. Bnei Yisroel are compared to Achos Ketana, a little sister. It’s a tefillah that talks about the closeness of Jewish people to Hashem and for Hashem to appeal to His mercy on his suffering “sister”. ”This message pulled at my heartstrings and I immediately bought the song.” This special song has a beautiful haunting arrangement by the talented Lipa Brach that really puts you in the mind frame of that very moment when we are uttering these holy words before Hashem Yisborach.
May we all have a year full of Gefen, with all our tefillos answered and experience the coming of the Geulah bekarov.

The Holy month of Elul is upon us once again. Really getting ready to connect and come closer to Hashem, our Father, our Master, our King. That Hashem reigns supreme is our national anthem. We cry out in unity, "אין לנו מלך אלא אתה", we have no King except for you.
Thinking about how I spent my life the past year, while in the presence of the King. Did I study Torah, perform Mitzvos, Daven, give Tzedakah, do Chesed, take care of my family properly, as I should have? Can I truly say I made Hashem proud of me, through my actions and behavior? After all, my Father in Heaven deserves to have some Naches, in return for all the blessings, He has bestowed upon my family and I the past year. Before asking for another year of health, sustenance, naches, success and well-being, I will first thank Hashem for all He has graciously showered upon me till now. Then I will make myself worthy, for His continued blessings the coming year, by reflecting upon my misdeeds in the past, doing Tesuvah for them and committing to live a more sincere Torah life in the future.
How appropriate it is at this time, to release this beautiful anthem song, אין לנו מלך אלא אתה right before Rosh Hashona, as we pledge our allegiance to our beloved KING and altogether coronate HASHEM exclusively once again ה' מלך, ה' מלך, ה' ימלוך , לעולם ועד.
