Insane Traffic Jam
Next time you’re spittin’ chips while sitting in peak hour gridlock, spare a though for these poor drivers.
A whoooole bunch of cars, busses and trucks were caught in a whopper of a traffic in Minsk, Belarus on Monday afternoon.
According to Belarus masthead Auto Onliner, the traffic lights malfunctioned at a busy intersection about 4.30pm, which created chaos for drivers.
Cars in all directions lurched forwards, resulting in the traffic jam to end all traffic jams.
But while you’d expect people to be absolutely fumin’ over this, Auto Onliner’s report says there was a jovial mood among the jam-ees.
Local authorities told Auto Onliner the congestion had been impacted by peak hour traffic, exacerbated by people leaving work.
We’ll try to keep this in mind when we’re battling Friday afternoon traffic.

Boston Dynamics is Teaching its Robot to Fight Humans
Boston Dynamics’ well-mannered four-legged machine SpotMini has already proved that it can easily open a door and walk through unchallenged, but now the former Google turned SoftBank robotics firm is teaching its robo-canines to fight back.
A newly released video shows SpotMini approaching the door as before, but this time it’s joined by a pesky human with an ice hockey stick. Unperturbed by his distractions, SpotMini continues to grab the handle and turn it even after its creepy fifth arm with a claw on the front is pushed away.
If that assault wasn’t enough, the human’s robot bullying continues, shutting the door on Spot, which counterbalances and fights back against the pressure. In a last-ditch effort to stop the robot dog breaching the threshold, the human grabs at a leash attached to the back of the SpotMini and yanks.
The robot valiantly trudges forward attempting to shake off this cowardly move, losing its tail in the process and looking ever more like a dog fighting its owner. Eventually the human gives in, SpotMini rights itself, lines up with the door, grabs the handle and across the threshold it goes.
Boston Dynamics describes the video as “a test of SpotMini’s ability to adjust to disturbances as it opens and walks through a door” because “the ability to tolerate and respond to disturbances like these improves successful operation of the robot”. The firm helpfully notes that, despite a back piece flying off, “this testing does not irritate or harm the robot”.
But teaching robots to fight back against humans may might end up harming us.

Brazilian Purim 2018 - Yeshiva Guevoha - Music Video
Grammy Nominnee Helps Brazilian Yeshiva
Shai Fishman – composer, music producer and music director – is the creator of world acclaimed acapella group The VocaPeople. He is a Grammy nominee and received numerous international awards, such as: TheLucille LortelAward, the French Emmy-LesGlobes De Cristal and the British Arrow Award for the best commercial of the year, for his amazing work on T-mobile Welcome backcampaign.
Shai recently went on a trip to Brazil for a new production and decided to visit the Yeshiva Guevoha of São Paulo. He was deeply impressed mainly by the fact that besides learning Torah, most of the students also attend university. This, he thought, is a unique Yeshiva. This Yeshiva was founded with a very strong premise that any student interested in getting a degree may do so, even attending a non-Jewish environment, with no risk to his beliefs and Jewish principles, as long as the students have the Yeshiva support.
This makes the difference from this Yeshiva to any other; students can go to the university, get an education and still come to the Yeshiva and delve into Torah learning, listen to amazing speeches, and grow as religious Jews, in all aspects of Judaism.
Every year, the Yeshiva makes a Purim clip showing the life experiences of the students. This year, after Shai visited and witnessed firsthand the incredible work the Yeshiva does, he just could not stand by idly and do nothing. Shai, being Jewish himself, decided to take on a new task, help a group of Yeshiva boys make a great music video! And so he did, from beginning to end he was there. Be it as producer, arranger, recording artist, engineer and mentor – he was there for us!

Brive’le – Shira Choir & Sababa ft. Avrum Chaim Green
Highlighting Gemach Hatzolah’s marquee 20th anniversary event, the soon-to-be-classic “Brive’le” got a signature Shira/Sababa treatment before thousands of spellbound attendees.
Avrum Chaim Green, in his penultimate video appearance as child soloist, joined a select unit of alto and tenor voices from Shira Choir to elevate this treasured song. The composition hails from the library of renowned hit-maker Motty Illowitz as an original entry in Motty Steinmetz’s inaugural album, Haneshama Bekirbi.
The ensemble is carried deftly on the swelling accompaniment of Sababa Band, an exceptional musical entourage led by orchestral maestro Mendy Hershkowitz. Much like the lyrics implore, this entire performance is worth writing home

Moshe Mendlowitz "Nachamu" Composed by S.Y Rechnitz
After the war, Rav Mordechai Tzukerman, a great tzaddik who survived World War II, spent the next 60 years in Yerushalayim, out of the limelight and away from all fame, honor, and prestige.
Torah was his life. As such, Rav Mordechai’s recreational time with his children was limited to once a week — after Shalosh Seudos. Every week, as the sun was setting, Rav Mordechai would take a walk with his children around the neighborhood. They would walk, hand in hand, and he would point out the various buildings and construction sites in the area. Rav Mordechai’s children cherished the precious moments of their serene stroll with their father, and looked forward to this special time.
This routine repeated itself week after week, nearly every Shabbos of the year. But there were three Shabbosos of the year when Rav Mordechai would not take his special walk with his children — the Shabbosos of the Drei Vachen, the Three Weeks. During the weeks between the 17th day of Tammuz and Tishah B’Av, Rav Mordechai refrained from taking his very enjoyable walk. He explained to his children, “If the Shechinah is in pain, then we must try to feel Its pain, as well.” Disappointed, they waited each year until Shabbos Nachamu, the Shabbos after Tishah B’Av. Finally, on Shabbos Nachamu, Rav Mordechai would prepare special treats for their walk, while his children could hardly control their excitement. Once more, their father would take his children by their hands and walk around Givat Shaul after Shalosh Seudos.
This poignant story teaches us how we must look at our relationship with the Al-mighty. Throughout the year, we “walk” with our Father. He takes us lovingly by the hand and strolls with us. But there are times of the year when the Al-mighty acts in a manner of hester Panim, hidden Countenance. During these trying times, it is most difficult to feel His Hand. We sense that He is not walking with us.
But we know with unequivocal certainty that He is there with us. We may not feel it and we may not see it. But He’s there. And He knows that we are His children, and there is nothing that we would love more than for the whole world to see us walking with our Father...and have Him holding our hand.
Forever.
"נחמו נחמו עמי יאמר אלקיכם דברו על לב ירושלם וקראו אליה"
"'Comfort, comfort My people,' says your G-d.'Speak consolingly of Yerushalayim and call to her…'" (Yeshayah 40:1-2)

Ground Crew Does Pushback by Hand
Now there's something you don't see every day
Ground crews at Bodo airport in Norway, found them self's lacking the right equipment for a rather new aircraft type, and a rare guest to land at this airport. This meant their pushback vehicles wouldn't fit. This resulted in them having to use raw muscle powers to get the job done.

Eli Levin ft. Pumpidisa - Halelu
From the author Eli Levin:
"I learnt this song years ago in Israel and I fell in love with its energy. I decided then that this song must be heard by my friends in America. It's been many years, and I am excited to finally release this music video.
כל הנשמה תהלל יה הללויה
Let every living, breathing creature praise God!
This summer I went with my cousins Tzvi and Matt Levin of Pumpidisa to Sam's Point in Ellenville, NY to film this production. We felt we needed to collaborate on this video because of our special experiences together in Israel, where we learnt this song."

Chaim Fisgus - Yodeah - Debut Single
Introducing newcomer Chaim Fisgus with his debut single “Yodeah.” As a child, Chaim loved music in general and loved to sing. He started composing almost 11 years ago, at the age of 19. Though he didn’t sing publically till the age of 21, when he first davened for the amud, Chaim quickly gained both confidence and experience. He has since gone on to lead the tefillos in Yeshiva for the Yomim Noroim for five years. His first big stage performance was just two years ago at HASC 30, where he was part of the 40 piece Zemiros choir alongside superstar Yaakov Shwekey.
Yodeah is Fisgus’s first venture into the professional music world. Chaim has been training and taking voice lessons for the past four years under the tutelage of well-known vocal coach Eitan Rosa. After three long years of hard work, Eitan endorsed Chaim to teach his style and methods to others. For the last year, Chaim has been teaching people of all ages from as early as eight years old and up. There are a select few who want to train a child at that young age. While teaching, Chaim’s voice has gotten better, because not only does he teach, but he learns new things from his students. While Yodeah doesn’t particularly show off Chaim’s vocal prowess, once you hear it, it will be easy to envision Chaim singing at weddings all over the globe spreading simcha and joy.
