Trump and Putin Meet for the First Time Ever
President Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin are holding their first official meeting as heads of state on the sidelines of the G-20 summit in Hamburg, Germany.
"It's an honor to be with you," Trump said to President Putin at the beginning of their meeting.
"President Putin and I have been discussing various things. I think it’s going very well, we’ve had some very, very good talks," Trump told reporters who were allowed into the room briefly.
Trump added, “We look forward to a lot of very positive things happening for Russia, for the United States, and for everybody concerned."
Trump and Putin were joined at their more formal meeting by Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and two translators.
Putin said he was "delighted" to meet with Trump personally and hoped their meeting "will yield positive results," according to the translator.
The Russian president said while he and Trump have spoken over the phone -- three times since Trump took office – such calls are "never enough."
Trump did not answer questions from the media on whether they will discuss Russia's alleged interference in the 2016 U.S. election.
Before their high-stakes sit-down, the two leaders had a casual run-in this morning where they exchanged a handshake.

Biztank Featured on WPIX 11 TV
Investing in inventors, that’s what Biztank is all about. “My main goal here is to help people," Joel Klein said. From candy and kids to health aides and kitchen products this digital show welcomes every type of idea. “We have had 40 presenters and at least half of them were granted either with an investment or with strategic help," he said. Joel Klein came up with the Sharktank-like concept a couple years ago as a way to contribute capital to creative people in the community. “You don’t have to be Jewish to do this right?" I asked. "Anyone can pitch their idea."
Ervin Hoffman found success through the program with his ‘Velcro Dressing Aid’, that helps people with arthritis. Right now, it’s being sold on Amazon. “How does it feel at your age to be attached to Amazon?" I asked him. "I feel even if I don’t make any money I helped so many people," Hoffman replied. The 92-year-old came to the United States after surviving the holocaust. “No water, no electric, nothing," he remembered. “Bullets went in [my arm] and broke the bone."
He spent his entire life giving back offering free psychology sessions to those in need. “Money is not the main thing for you, is it?" I said. "No, I [just] want to help people." A sincerity that won over the Biztank moguls. He was real, he was himself," Klein described. “The moguls actually told me out of all the pitches, his pitch was short and sweet, it was the best pitch they ever had." And while he helped get Ervin’s product off the ground, Joel says he was the one who gained the most from the relationship. "I learned from Ervin that you should never give up," Klein said. "[And] that it’s never too late to succeed.”

Israeli PM Netanyahu Visits USS George H. W. Bush
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu paid a visit to the USS George H.W. Bush aircraft carrier anchored off the coast of the port city of Haifa on Monday, welcoming the warship and its crew to Israel, which he called “a carrier of American ideals in a sea of despotism.”
The ship’s arrival to Haifa on June 1 marked the first time a US aircraft carrier has visited an Israeli port in nearly two decades, the last such visit being that of the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower in April 2000.
The 333 meter-long and 20-story high ship, powered by two nuclear reactors, is the largest aircraft carrier in the world. It was too large to dock at Haifa's port itself, and was anchored some four kilometers off the coast.
The ship is carrying 75 aircraft and and 4,800 personnel, many of whom are ashore in Israel on leave.
The US naval forces said in a press release that “strengthening partnerships during port visits demonstrates our shared commitment to promoting security and stability throughout the region.”
The USS George H.W. Bust has recently taken part in recent altercations with Assad regime-allied and Iranian backed Shiite militia in Syria.
The ship will depart Haifa port on Wednesday and will resume its mission against IS from the eastern Mediterranean Sea.
Haifa port was in the 1980's and 90's the home port of the US Navy's Sixth Fleet, but US ships stopped docking there during the Second Intifada (Uprising) in the year 2000.
Israel is the top recipient of US defense aid, receiving $3.8 billion dollars annually over 10 years under a historic 2016 deal.
