The Telegram from NY - 1967
In 1967, Rabbi Shlomo Schwartz was part of a delegation of students sent by the Rebbe to revitalize the Toras Emes Yeshiva in Jerusalem. The group was in Israel on the cusp of the Six Day War. As the war drums were being beaten across the Arab world, many American Yeshiva students were leaving Israel in fear. After asking the Lubavitcher Rebbe whether to stay or leave, the response that they got would make headlines in the Israeli Press and boost the morale of the country ahead of the war.

Arrests in Attack of ‘Chareidi Soldier’ in Meah Shearim
Three haredi extremists were arrested after being suspected of verbally or physically assaulting a person wearing IDF clothes in Meah Shearim. The three attacked a person specially sent by police to Meah Shearim to catch violent extremists. The suspects (including one minor) were brought to police for interrogation. Police stated that "the operations began a few months ago and will continue against everyone acting to attack uniform wearers whereever they are

Israel Prepares for Trump Visit & Other News Out of Israel
Israel's Defense Ministry was on Thursday preparing for the arrival ceremony for US Donald Trump next week, a statement said. Hundreds of journalists and officials have been invited to the ceremony at Ben Gurion International Airport, the ministry said. Dana Shraga, Israeli Ministry of Defense Israel's Channel 2 News reported on Sunday that an airlift of tons of equipment for the trip had begun. Approximately thirty C-17 American planes were reportedly expected to be needed in order to transport some 56 vehicles, including 14 limousines, as well as Trump’s presidential limousine known as “The Beast.”Trump’s armored limousine, which is specially equipped to be heavily shielded from gunfire, grenades and explosive devices and to be resistant to biological and chemical attack, was reportedly to land in the days before Trump’s arrival.
Three trucks were also reportedly being transported, containing armored glass to be installed in the windows of Jerusalem’s King David hotel where Trump will be staying.
Trump will also be traveling with a large delegation from the US, numbering close to one thousand individuals. The delegation will not only include many of Trump’s White House officials, logistics personnel and security personnel but also a number of journalists.
Approximately twenty Secret Service personnel are also expected to accompany Trump as during his visit to Israel. The US Secret Service has already begun coordinating with the Israel Security Agency to make the necessary security precautions before Trump’s arrival.
Trump is slated to arrive on Monday May 22, which coincides with the 50th anniversary of the reunification of Jerusalem following the 1967 Six Day War, which will be commemorated in Israel beginning the evening of May 23 and the day of May 24.

At this years Boro Park "Bonei Olam" Gala Event, held Tuesday May 9, 2017, the crowd was amazed listening to The Yiddish Nachas Choir as they accompanied singer & composer Meshulam Greenberger together with Child Soloist Yoely Glick singing his song "Mah Tishtoichachi" accompanied by the Yedidim Choir. Led by Arranger & Producer Moshy Kraus, hearts were opened and Bonei Olam's" message hit home.

Toddler Takes His Bounce House Time Very Seriously
The one thing that makes almost every kid grin from ear-to-ear is not that big of a deal to one very adult-seeming toddler.
A hilarious video featuring a stoic 2-year-old named Parker nonchalantly jumping in a bounce house has gone viral.
Todd Blass recently recorded his nephew Parker hopping away in the most composed, coolheaded manner possible, the 2-year-old hardly smiling as he jumped up and down on the colorful inflated surface with his hands firmly in his pockets even as a fellow partygoer has a mini-meltdown behind him.
Unlike his unimpressed relative, the uncle was apparently excited enough about the event to share the passive Parker on YouTube Sunday with the title, "I will never be as cool as my 2 year old nephew in a bounce house."
The enthusiasm was not exclusive. As of Wednesday evening, the video of the apathetic acrobat had amassed over 3.4 million views.

Lag B'Omer in Miron 5777
Just under 200 years ago, the Ruzhyner Rebbe Rabbi Israel Friedman bought for himself and for his generations of heirs the right to light the first Lag B’Omer bonfire on the roof of Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochai (Rashbi) gravesite on Mt. Miron. Over the past few decades, the Boyaner Rebbe – whose Hasidic dynasty is an offshoot of Ruzhyn, via Sadigura – has taken on himself to fulfill this holy rite.
