LIVE: Presidential Inauguration 2017
The long and turbulent 2016 election reaches its final milestone today when Donald Trump is sworn in as the 45th president of the United States. Trump will take the oath of office promptly at noon, which marks the official transfer of power. The inaugural address comes toward the end of the outdoor ceremony, and shortly after that, Obama will leave and Trump will attend a luncheon before the rest of the scheduled events -- including the parade and various balls -- fill out the landmark day.
Updated: The event has ended. Watch below the swearing-in and speech that followed.
Trump Takes Oath of Office - Donald Trump was officially sworn in as the 45th president of the United States after a long and divisive campaign. Trump, seated in front of his wife Melania and children and directly next to former President Barack Obama, looked reserved throughout the inauguration ceremony. Both he and Vice President Mike Pence were sworn in by Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas.
Trump Inauguration Speech - The 45th president of the United States speaks outside the Capitol building on Inauguration Day. During his inaugural address, Trump told the American people that this was "their celebration."He echoed themes that were repeated throughout his campaign, promising not to leave "the forgotten men and women" behind, and calling for a return of power to the people as opposed to politicians in Washington.

Bizarre Interview Unfolds as Host Calls Out Protest Hoaxer
The video above contains quite possibly one of the most bizarre interviews you will ever watch.
On Tuesday night, Fox News host Tucker Carlson grabbed more headlines when he invited one "Dom Tullipso" onto the nine-o'clock hour slot to expose a protesting scam called "Demand Protest." In what developed into a bizarre yet hilarious on-air exchange, Carlson called out "Tullipso" for his sham that duped far too many in the media, as "Tullipso" engages in less-than-convincing but highly comical "performance art."
"Tullipso" is presented as an organizer who pays people to protest via his day-old "Demand Protest" online initiative, but as soon as the interview begins, it's clear that Carlson knows full-well that "Tullipso" is not who he says he is.
“This is a sham, your company isn’t real, your website is fake, the claims you have made are lies, this is a hoax," says Carlson. "Let me start at the beginning, however, with your name, Dom Tullipso, which is not your real name. It’s a fake name, we ran you through law enforcement-level background checks and that name does not exist. So let’s start out with the truth. Tell me what your real name is.”
"Tullipso" hilariously explains away Carlson's fact-checking of his phony name by saying his full name is actually Dominique, not Dom; also, the "L"s in his last name are silent.
"That's a lie, and you know it's a lie," responds Carlson.
The exchange becomes increasingly hilarious when "Tullipso" realizes that his sham is not getting past Carlson. The hoax protest organizer refers to traitor Chelsea Manning as (football star) "Peyton Manning" (in two different instances and then suggests his "group's" protesting aim shifted to promoting Trump "30 minutes ago."

Volkswagen Drives a Trailer Backwards at High Speed
Imagine walking down the street, going about your business, and seeing a car-towed box trailer whizzing past—backwards.
You might imagine you had stumbled onto the set of an action movie. Or perhaps it's a Norwegian Volkswagen campaign from agency Try Oslo
A VW station wagon whips down a spiral parking lot ramp, around a traffic circle, and past slower-moving cars—all in reverse—while perplexed drivers and pedestrians look on, wondering what maniac is behind the wheel.
"Backing up with a trailer will be this easy," assures the onscreen copy at the end, promoting the automaker's Trailer Assist function. "Well, almost," it adds.
In other words, maneuvering won't be quite that easy. The stunt in the ad is staged, albeit ingenious.
A behind-the-scenes video shows its creators sawing a small car in half and building a fake trailer around it, with walls made of plexiglass, and see-through foil on the outside—like a one-way mirror.
The makeshift vehicle's driver could look out, while steering—forwards. That still represented a feat of coordination, though. He had to communicate via intercom with the driver of the real car hitched behind him—who did have to drive in reverse.
It's a fun gimmick emphasizing a real VW feature that helps drivers automatically steer while trying to maneuver a trailer backwards. As with all such reality-style videos, it's a likelihood at least some of the reactions are also staged, but it doesn't really matter if it gets the message across as well as this does.
Plus, while the exaggeration here may be pretty harmless, Volkswagen will probably be generally wary of overstating the performance capabilities of its cars in the future.

Charges Dropped Against Suspect In Murder Of Raksin
There’s been a stunning turn in the case of a Brooklyn rabbi who was murdered while visiting family in Florida.
Prosecutors have dropped all charges against 17-year-old Deandre Charles of South Florida, the suspect originally accused of killing Rabbi Joseph Raksin in 2014
Raksin was visiting his daughter near Miami when he was shot dead early on a Saturday while on his way to worship.
Charles was charged based on circumstantial evidence including DNA and cell phone records. He’s always denied involvement.
Now — in a memo released on Tuesday — prosecutors explain how the case collapsed, saying a “change in lab protocol” puts the DNA evidence in question. Additionally, a reevaluation of the cell phone records can’t place the defendant at the scene.

Sheep Gangs Up on Shepherd
They are known as nature's followers - subservient animals content to fit in with the herd rather than stand out.
But, in every family there is always a black sheep willing to go against the grain.
This is the dramatic moment a shepherd was trampled and then butted into the ground after her herd was spooked by a car. Believed to have been filmed in Germany, the footage shows a shepherd leading her sheep down a country road.
But when a car approaches things quickly go wrong as the shepherd's dog gets distracted from its task of controlling the animals. As the canine runs toward the vehicle the sheep gather together at the side of the road before deciding to run the other way.
A particularly large sheep rams the shepherd in the back and leaves him sprawled in the middle of the road while her dogs are distracted, The shepherd manages to get to her knees but makes the mistake of turning her back on the sheep before being hit again, The woman lays stunned on the tarmac for a few moments as the sheep backs off, before managing to get up to her knees.
But she makes the mistake of turning her back on the sheep who runs back over before butting her in the back, sending her tumbling to the ground again.
The sheep then starts stomping on her before the car drives over and scares it away.

Israel Police Clash with Orthodox Jews
Dozens of (ultra) Orthodox Jews staged a demonstration today at Jerusalem’s Shabbat Square in protest against the arrest of IDF defectors from their community. The protesters hurled a flurry of verbal insults at police stationed nearby, and called them -Nazis. As a result, major intersections in the area were closed down. Traffic police began directing traffic to alternative routes, while officers on horseback began removing the protestors by force.
Frightening Footage Shows Roof Collapse Middle of Game
The roof of a sports hall in the Czech city of Česká Třebová collapsed during a youth floorball game over the weekend, and the estimated 80 players, officials and spectators in attendance were fortunately all able to escape before the rafters crashed down on the court.
At around the 15-second mark in the video, those inside the building realized that they were in danger, and everyone dashed to the exit doors. One of the last people to make it out was nearly hit by a falling net.
According to the Czech news site the hall was built very recently and had just opened in January. The Governor of the Czech Republic’s Pardubice Region, Martin Netolický, wrote on Facebook that the construction was “sloppy” and “irresponsible,” and that “culprits must be punished.”

FedEx Driver Busted
Adam Stoneman is fed up with FedEx.
The Irvine resident caught on video a driver for the delivery service carelessly throwing a package from his truck and bouncing it off the wall of his house, rather than walking it to his front door.
In the video, the driver is seen pulling up to Stoneman's house and staying behind the wheel of his truck. The box flies through the air over Stoneman's yard and hits the side of his house.
The driver apparently realizes he missed the porch and then gets out of the truck, retrieves the box and again tosses it, this time toward the front door.
"Did you just throw that from your truck?" he asks the driver, who at first denies it. "You did, I have it on video, bro. I got a camera recording. I saw you just throw that."
"Why'd you do that, man?" he again asked the driver. "You don't know what that is in there. It could be glass."

Animals in Mirrors Hilarious Reactions - Part 2
Click Here for part 1, posted last year.
Hidden cameras captured the moment a narcissistic leopard who had become obsessed with his own reflection was scared away from a mirror by a herd of elephant.
French photographer Xavier Hubert-Brierre set up a large mirror and hidden cameras in the Gabon rain-forest to see how animals would react to their reflections.
An imposing male leopard soon became addicted to his own reflection and started to visit the mirror frequently.
He would rub his reflection, coating the mirror with the oils that protect his fur, grease from of his paw pads and dribble. During one of his visits cameras caught the leopard being interrupted by a herd boisterous elephants. The herd chased him off but did not seem as enamored with their own reflections as the elegant big cat was with his.
The group did not recognize themselves in the mirror. They frantically ran around the reflections before becoming too spooked and sprinting off into the forest. As well as the narcissistic leopard, the photographers also captured a thrilling 'duel' between a silverback gorilla and his own reflection and a group of very confused monkeys.

Man Ropes Calf While Riding on Sheriff's Cruiser
One Tennessee sheriff’s office likes to do things the old fashioned way—albeit with a little extra ‘horsepower’ in the form of a police cruiser.
When one rogue calf was spotted running Highway 79, the Henry County Sheriff’s Office knew exactly what to do.
Sheriff Monte Belew grabbed his ‘ole buddy’ David Bevill, who hopped on the hood of the sheriff’s patrol car with a cowboy hat and a lasso.
Bevill showed some true cowboy skill and successfully roped the calf, much to the delight of Sheriff Belew. “We just got him! Bevill just… tie him to the front of my car!”
