New "Hound" App Claims Speed Accuracy & Details

SoundHound, the company behind the well-known music recognition app with the same name, caused a big stir with the announcement of Hound yesterday, a virtual assistant app that promises to give Google Now, Siri, and Cortana a run for their money. And more than that.

Nine years in the making, Hound generated positive reactions in the tech press, but without a real hands-on demonstration, it’s hard to understand what the fuss is all about. Well, according to SoundHound: "In this video, SoundHound Inc. Founder & CEO, Keyvan Mohajer does examples of voice queries to Hound that show speed and accuracy, and the ability to handle context, detailed criteria, and other examples. Hound can’t do everything, of course, but, for users who believe that speaking to connected devices should be like how we speak normally - this shows that it’s now possible. So many of things that you used to type, tap and swipe for can now be done effortlessly by speaking."

American Pharoah Jockey Takes A Spiritual Journey

Jockey Victor Espinoza, who is hoping to make history by riding the first Triple Crown-winning horse in 37 years, took a spiritual journey in Queens on Thursday, CBS2’s Carolyn Gusoff exclusively reported.

Espinoza visited the grave site of Grand Lubavitcher Rebbe Menachem Schneerson, considered one of the most influential Jewish leaders of the 20th century.

Hundreds of thousands come to the cemetery every year 24/7 to pray.

Espinoza opened a prayer book, recited psalms, wrote out his own message and added his to a mountain of prayers at the sacred site.

Espinoza is not Jewish, but spiritual. He said after receiving a blessing from a rabbi at the Preakness last month, he scheduled the detour from his regular race prep for the Belmont.

Prayers for a pharaoh may be a first at the site, but worshipers welcomed Espinoza.

American Pharoah’s owners also answer to a higher authority. The Zayats were raised in Egypt as observant Jews. On race day, which is the Sabbath, the family will abstain from driving in observance and will camp overnight in luxury RVs on Belmont’s grounds.

“We have a value system in our life, and that is a priority in our family,” said Ahmed Zayat, who lives in Teaneck, New Jersey. “God comes first. (Then) family, country and all the others — all the others, you can put horse racing in them.”

Obama Sits Down For Israeli TV News Interview

President Barack Obama gave an interview with Israeli media on Tuesday, in which he threatened that an Israeli refusal to renew peace talks with the Palestinian Authority (PA) will "make it hard" for the US to veto motions in the UN against Israel.

In an interview with Ilana Dayan for Channel 2's "Uvda" (Fact) TV show aired Tuesday night, Obama commented on Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu's statements before elections in which he said that a Palestinian state won't be founded on his watch.

Obama noted that later Netanyahu distanced from the statement and "suggested that there is the possibility of a Palestinian state. But it has so many caveats, so many conditions, that it is not realistic to think that those conditions would be met anytime in the near future."

Those conditions have included the recognition of Israel as a Jewish state and demilitarization, conditions that proved problematic in the last round of peace talks that Obama pushed into existence in late 2013.

The president continued, "and so the danger here, is that…Israel as a whole loses credibility. Already the international community does not believe that Israel is serious about a two states solution...the statement the Prime Minister made compounded that...belief that there's not a commitment there."

Describing Netanyahu, Obama said, "I think that he also is someone who has been skeptical about the capacity of Israelis and Palestinians to come together on behalf of peace. I think that he is also a politician, who's concerned about keeping coalitions together and maintaining his office."

"Netanyahu…is somebody who's predisposed to think of security first. To think perhaps that peace is naive," he continued. "To see the worst possibilities, as opposed to the best possibilities in Arab partners or Palestinian partners, and so I do think that right now, those politics, and those fears are driving the government's response. And, I understand it, but…what may seem wise and prudent on the short-term, can actually end up being unwise over the long-term."

Animals in Mirrors Hilarious Reactions

There can be no better or worse sight than your own reflection, but these vain animals seemed very keen to admire themselves.

Innovative French photographer Xavier Hubert Brierre travelled to Gabon with his wife and set up a mirror in several locations in order to capture animals walking by.

The results are stunning, with one of the more amusing reactions being from two leopards. One of them takes several looks at the mirror before it is attacked by a second leopard, who calls off the ambush when he too spots Xavier's mirror.

Freilach ft. Greenfeld & Zemiros - Amar Rabbi Elazar

Music of today is upbeat and great, however classics of yesteryear are timeless. One such song is Amar Rabbi Elazar written by the prolific Yossi Green, originally recorded by powerhouse voice DEDI on his third album V'ohavto. Not only did the song have a myriad of moving parts vocally, but the original arrangement by the maestro Mona Rosenblum was a symphony of sound to thrill the scenes.

Freilach band, which is known for their one of a kind productions, executed this amazing song recently at a wedding. Featuring arrangements by Freilach's very own Mendy Hershkowitz (coming off the acclaim of Eli Beer's debut album) and the soulful blend of the voices of the Zemiros Group, topped by the masterful performance of Yoely Greenfeld.

11 Year Time-lapse of One World Trade Center

One World Trade Center, the tallest skyscraper in the Western Hemisphere at 1,776 feet, had open a new observatory to the public on 29 May.

Dubbed the Freedom Tower, the skyscraper is the main building of the new World Trade Center complex in Lower Manhattan, New York City. The 104-story super tall structure shares a numeric name with the northern Twin Tower of the original World Trade Center, which was destroyed in the terrorist attacks of 11 September 2001.

Having 3 million rentable square feet of space and a 55-foot high office lobby, the building is equipped with 54 high-speed destination dispatch passenger elevators.

The One World Observatory is an enclosed observation deck rising 1,250 feet above street level.

In recognition of the opening of One World Observatory, web cam services provider EarthCam has released a special edition of its One World Trade Center video. The commemorative time-lapse movie shows the completion of construction from October 2004 to Memorial Day 2015.

Hundreds of thousands of high definition images were captured over the past 11 years and hand-edited for this exclusive time-lapse movie.
