A Williamsburg Orthodox Jewish man who bought a dashcam video system claims it was worth every penny.
As CBS 2′s Dave Carlin reported Friday, the driver, Abraham, said he's using the video to settle the score with a police officer who he claims gave him a ticket for no reason.
It all started with a left turn executed from Metropolitan Avenue on to Marcy Avenue, caught on camera from inside Abraham's car. Then, Abraham is pulled over and the officer confronts him, saying otherwise. Abraham said he told the officer that he had a camera recording.
Abraham said he bought the dashcam for about $150 because he has a job going from place to place. Whenever his car's engine is on, it is recording. The officer ticketed Abraham for an improper turn, which carries a $138 fine, a 3-point penalty on his license and could raise his insurance sky-high.
A police spokesman said the case is under review.

Lioness Cuddles With Caretaker

Rabbis Commemorate Holocaust In Hungary
More then 200 rabbis commemorated the 70th anniversary of the annihilation of 600,000 Hungarian Jews in the Holocaust Monday during a memorial in Budapest. Among those who attended, were Israel Chief Rabbis Yitzhak Yosef and David Lau, A Holocaust survivor Grand Rabbi Menachem Mendel Taub, the Kaliver rebbe and Deputy Minister for Religious Affairs Eli Ben Dahan.
The memorial is the site of a massacre by Hungarian fascists who lined Jews up along the river, made them remove their shoes and shot them, allowing their bodies to land in the Danube. Orthodox Chasidic Jews are gathering in Leżajsk, southeast Poland for the annual celebration of one of the founders of the Chasidic movement, Rabbi Elimelech Weisblum. The ceremonies over the weekend mark the 228th anniversary of the death of Elimelech of Lizhensk, as the town was known in Yiddish, Was attended by several thousand Chasidic Jews from around the world. Rebbi Elimelech (1717 - 1787), authored the classic work Noam Elimelech, which developed the Chasidic theory of the Tzaddik. As the founder of Chasidism in Poland-Galicia, his influence led numerous leaders and dynasties to emerging from his disciples through the early 19th century

Concerns For Jewish Community In Ukraine
In Ukraine capital unknown men have beaten up the leader of a local Jewish movement. Just months ago the rabbi was seen addressing the crowds in Maidan. But some Ukrainians seem to have ignored these calls for national unity. As more and more nazi graffiti appears on the walls in Ukrainian cities and ultra-nationalists are given key government posts, Kiev's Jewish community feels they can no longer entrust their safety to the police.
A group of Israel MPs has written an open letter to the President of the European Commission. They expressed their concern over the plight of Ukrainian Jews who they say are suffering from constant attacks. It's claimed this is a direct result of the rise of nationalists in Kiev. Activists from Ukraine's Jewish community have also traveled to Israel to seek support.
