Composer Doody Rosenberg Presents "Acheinu"

Two decades ago an album was released by Yigal Calek entitled “Tenth Anniversary Celebration”. It featured compositions by Doody Rosenberg, a native of England.

Now, 20 years later, Doody is releasing a new album featuring his compositions called "Acheinu”. The album features 10 heartwarming tracks sung by Doody. Rosenberg is joined by his son Hershele Rosenberg whose flawless voice lends hartz to these precious songs. Acheinu also features superstar singer Shloime Gertner, who really captivates the essence and neshoma of these songs with his amazing vocals. This isn't your typical album. The songs aren't fast and rocky. Instead, enjoy the "pure melody" of these pleasantly beautiful relaxing original songs.

Belz and Satmar Reunite in Historic Meeting

Jewish chasidic history was made last night February 15, 2012, as for the first time in over thirty years, the Belzer and Satmar Rebbes met. The meeting was in the home of the Belzer Rebbe in the neighborhood of Telz Stone (aka Kiryat Ye'arim) in Jerusalem, Israel.  The meeting, which took place at 12:50 AM Israel time, lasted over thirty minutes. Hundreds of chasidim and onlookers waited outside to catch a  glimpse of the two leaders who are brother in laws to each-other.

The last several weeks have been spent ironing out the particulars of the meeting.

Telz Stone was sealed off completely today, with only the local residents getting permission to enter the area. The Belzer Rebbe's house on Rechov Baal Shem Tov was surrounded by heavy security.

The road to this monumental reconciliation was paved approximately one month ago when a delegation of Belzer dayanim paid a visit to the grave of the Satmar Rebbe, R' Yoel Teitelbaum ZT"L in Kiryas Joel.  As reported by VIN News, the delegation asked in the name of the Belzer Rebbe for the Samar Rebbe ZT"L's forgiveness.

"When It's Not Friday" at Mesivta Lubavitch Chicago

A video created for the Lubavticher Mesivta of Chicago's Mivtzoim dinner, year 5770.

In all Chabad Yeshivos around the world, the free time of Friday afternoon is spent by going to visit Jewish people at their respective offices or homes. The boys put Tefillin on the men, distribute Shabbos candles to the women and inspire them both with a Devar Torah on the Parsha. This is what they call "Mivtzoim."

At the end of the School year,  the Lubavticher Mesivta of Chicago made a dinner, hosting all their "Friday friends" and created this video presentation in their honor.

Yisroel Amar: Toda! New Single From Debut Album

Yisroel Amar: Toda! New Single From Debut Album Coming Soon!

After enjoying a bar mitzvah surprise of singing alongside Yishai Lapidot on stage. Yisroel Amar presents a song for the upcoming album called "Toda". The song is one of celebration, belief, faith and most importantly the tradition that two singers still hold true to their hearts. The single, composed by Yitzy Waldner is available for download at mostlymusic.com and will be available off Yisroel's upcoming solo album.

"Toda" is a touching song of gratitude to God for the miracles Yisroel encountered at the age of 6, two years before he began to take up singing. The song describes how Yisroel lives and sees every day and every experience as a miracle of heaven. The song was lyrically composed and sharpened by the efforts of Shmuel Yona—who had earlier prepared the lyrics for Malachim (hit song of Chaim Israel). This collaboration between the present of Jewish pop and the bright future about to get over the horizon is one so promising that Yisroel Amar has a whole lot to look forward to. By continuing to prove his work by bringing music alongside the proven, Amar's music will only further especially with the success of this highly-anticipated album.

The album will be available for purchase in select Judaica stores, through www.YisroelAmar.com , and www.mostlymusic.com.

Pre order the CD here, which will come with an automatic download of the album once the CD arrives in stores. You can download Toda for free for a limited time by clicking album download.

This new single intoduces the long-awaited album called "Bayom Hahu" with melodies that both bounce on the tracks and stay true in tradition. "Bayom Hahu" is to be realeased for an early-March release will feature entirely-original compositions from producer Yitzy Waldner and Baruch Levine with help from the Moshe Roth Choir and guitarist Avi Singolda.

Hemmed in the ways of the Hassidic traditions, Yisroel Amar's tracks range from the upbeat pops to the deepest of ballads, promising to tell a story of becoming and living every day and sing every song in the shadow of the greatness that resides above us with an English song. Helping with the lyrics comes the famed lyricist Ken Burgess keeping the message on point.

Yisroel Amar, who won the Junior division of A Jewish Star Season 2 singing competition, released his first single a few months ago, Gam Zu Le Tova, which distributed 10,000 copies through select locations including Judaica outlets throughout the United States. "Bayom Hahu" will feature more compositions from Yitzy Waldner and Ian Freitor.

Music Video - Yisroel Werdyger Sings for Oz Vehadar

I found the video to be extremely emotional until i realized its purpose was to endorse a certain publication.

The two issues that disturbed me in this video: A) The video begins as a heart-wrenching story and then the Mesivata Gemara arrives and saves the day! Easier said than done! B) The Mesivta Gemara is some tremendous work, not only for the unlearned, as portrayed in this video.
