In honor of the Pirchei Choir who will be performing at The Event on March 1st in tribute to Rabbi Eli Teitelbaum O.B.M., a concert produced by Sheya Mendlowitz, we present to you a photo of the original Pirchei choir, where Sheya amongst others were choir members.

Other familiar names, assuming they are in fact the grownups i think may be; Avrohom (Avromi) Flam, Efraim Waxman (Rosh Yeshiva in Monsey?).

Simcha Felder Discusses "Gotcha Bill" on NY1

Councilmen Simcha Felder and James Vacca announced new legislation last month (01/12/2009) that would create a five-minute grace period before police could ticket cars once alternate-side parking rules go into effect or Muni-meter receipts expire.

The council members say tickets should be issued to get drivers to obey the law – not to raise revenue.

"Tickets are supposed to be for compliance," said Felder. "Compliance doesn't mean we're running some sort of dictatorship or hounding people the minute they do something wrong. We're not in a prison; we're not anywhere where people should be penalized to that extent."

According to the councilmen, last year there were 276,000 alternate-side parking tickets issued within five minutes of the regulations taking effect.

I asked Rabbi Eli Teitelbaum O.B.M. a few years ago, why doesn't he rerelease his Sdei Chemed albums. He repleid that he was actualy in the mids of such a project. Now that he passed away, i wonder if that project will be completed someday.

Yaakov Lemmer Sings Zochreinu L'chaim

Cantor Yaakov Lemmer sings Zochreinu L'chaim with The Jerusalem Cantors Choir led by Maestro Binyamin Glickman. The concert took place before a packed audience on September 1st 2008 at The Jewish Culture Festival in Budapest Hungary. Performing along with Cantor Lemmer were Cantors Azi Schwartz, Cantor Ben Zion Miller and Cantor Laszlow Fekete.

"Wow" is all i can say. This is some beautiful stuff. So beautiful so sweet.

Avraham Fried's New Single

Popular Chassidic singer Avraham Fried released a new single called "Rak Tefila" (only prayer), which is a remake of an old secular Israeli song. Composed by Chanan Yovel and written by Yoram Tohar-Lev. The new release is a promo for Fried's upcoming concert this Wednesday in Tel Aviv.

I was told a while back that this song will be part of a different project. It's yet to be confirmed if that project still stands.

This video is one of the funniest things I've seen in a long time it was Uploaded just over a week ago on Jan. 30, and it it has already 5,418,434 views and counting.

Here is what the author writes: " This is my 7 year old son who had an extra tooth removed last summer, 2008.

I had the camera because he was so nervous before and I wanted him to see the before and after.

He was so out of it after, I had to carry him out of the office. The staff was trying to keep from laughing. I had tears from laughing so hard.

He is doing fine now and the teeth are great.

Best of all he is the best kid as is his brother William. I couldn't have asked for two better sons!
