"Umar Rabi Yochanon" Shulem Lemmer ft. H. Weinberger

Our world, so vast and grand, is meticulously coordinated by Hashem, who orchestrates every intricate detail with divine precision, from the seemingly minute to the highly significant. And yet, while He creates and manages every bit of existence, Hashem simultaneously maintains an individualized relationship with each of us. Like a father and son, our bond with Him is personal and eternal. Every blade of grass, slithering earthworm, galloping horse and breathing human being serves as a reminder of the love and care He exudes for each of us like we're His only child.

Lyrics:

Translation:

Rabbi Yochanan said: Wherever you find a reference to the might of the Holy One, Blessed be He, you also find a reference to His humility adjacent to it.
For everyone, to the whole world
You’re a king, their sovereign
But for me, but for me,
You’re my father, father you’ve always been.

Highlights: Holocaust Survivors Cruise

Over 100 Holocaust survivors and some of their grandchildren set sail on a cruise at The Brooklyn Army Terminal.

The cruise was organized by The Borough Park Community Council and The United Task Force.

The survivors were just children when the German government state-sponsored the mass murder of millions of Jews, Romani people, mentally disabled, political dissidents, and homosexuals by the Nazi regime between 1933 and 1945.

The survivors, now in their late 80s and 90s, boarded the boat to share their accounts of what they lost in the years of Hitler’s regime. Bertha Einhorn was just 12 years old when she was moved between two concentration camps.

“I lost my whole family,” she stated.

Esther Rubenstein also can’t shake her tragic memories from the camps. She was just 5 at the time and is the sole survivor of her family.

“We had no clothing or food. One day we had a chance to clean and we found some food left in the kitchen,” she said.

Another Brooklyn resident said her life was spared when her super claimed there were no Jews in her building.

According to the National World War II Museum, it is estimated that at least 6 million Jews, as well as 5 million others, targeted for sexuality, political ideologies, prisoners of war, and others, died in the Holocaust. It is estimated at least 1 million children were killed.

LIVE: Moments IV Limitless - Monday June 12 2023 - 6PM

A Fundraising Event to Benefit the Shaare Zion Torah Center.

Yaakov Shwekey, Shmueli Ungar, Eitan Katz, Joey Newcomb, Shemul

6.12.23 | The Gotham Hall

Under the leadership of our senior rabbis, Rabbi Meyer Yedid and Rabbi Raymond Haber, over 120 rabbis and teachers give classes on a wide range of topics, at different levels, catered specifically to each group.

With classes for monthly, weekly, and daily engagement, the Torah Center is a place where one can start learning for the first time, grow to advanced levels, and eventually give back to the community as a teacher. We have programs for directed study, group classes, and structured programs for both men and ladies. The Torah Center has been pivotal in the wide reach of Torah learning in the Syrian Community, and in the world at large.

Shaare Zion Torah Center is the pioneer of the world phenomenon, Habruta Night, where outreach is made to friends, family and acquaintances who are not currently learning Torah. One night a week, the study hall is full of new and soon to become familiar faces and the sounds of hundreds of voices refamiliarizing themselves with Torah study.

During the pandemic, the Torah Center launched TCLive.org, and reached tens of thousands of people with Torah classes when in person learning was not an option. Since classes have resumed in person, Torah Center teachers have continued reaching out and teaching thousands via Zoom and virtual classes.
