"Steamboat geyser is aptly named Old Unpredictable since eruptions can occur anywhere from 4 days to 50 years apart. We were at the car taking a break when I heard what could only be described as a loud rumble, like a jet engine. I looked up and we ran back to see this beautiful eruption! Located in the Norris Geyser Basin, Steamboat Geyser is the world’s tallest active geyser. Its major eruptions shoot water more than 300 feet and it is a sight to see!"

Car Flips Driver Attempts Escape During Police Pursuit
Rochester, NY - A car that appears to be involved in a police chase crashed after flipping repeatedly in the area of North Goodman Street as seen in a video sent to News 8 Tuesday.
Officers from the Rochester Police Department say police attempted to stop the vehicle in the area of North Goodman Street and Central Park Avenue, but the vehicle failed to stop and a short pursuit was initiated.
After the vehicle crashed, officers approach the car with guns drawn and a canine unit, the video shows. Two male city residents then climbed out of the shattered windshield. Officials say both driver and passenger were arrested and later transported to a nearby hospital for minor injuries.
Both Javar Marshall, age 21, and Nasir Schifano, age 19, face two counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree. They were amended to Monroe County Jail, police say.
As a result of the investigation, authorities recovered a rifle loaded with 30 rounds and a 9mm Ruger loaded with eight rounds.
A nearby resident, Chucky Naz, captured the footage on his front door home security camera.
“It looked like a movie, like a scene from a movie,” said Sean Irizarry who was just getting home from work at the time. This happened right in front of his home. “And I heard some screeching, so I could hear the car accident, and I ran to the front of the driveway, and that when I (saw) the car flip over right in front of the driveway,” he said.
He thought this was a run-of-the-mill accident and rushed to help — until, “the police officers pulled up and they came out with their weapons drawn and so that made me want to — well, I just ran away,” he said.

Opens the door like a person would and opens the center console to eat the peanut M&M's that we had in the truck while driving there from Michigan. Crazy! I was like 10 ft. from if trying to get it out. I threw 2 rugs and a chair at it."

LIVE: “Hineni” Gala – A Star Studded Broadcast
Chabad of the Conejo is inviting old and new friends (and curious viewers) around the world to tune in to its “Virtual Gala ‘22” – a variety show of nostalgia, entertainment and inspiration – to be livestreamed on Wednesday, June 15th, beginning at 7:00 pm (Pacific time).
Featuring moving visual narratives interspersed with musical appearances by some of the top names on the Jewish music scene – including Avraham Fried, Benny Friedman, 8th Day, Shulem Lemmer, Yanky Lemmer, and Joey Newcomb, Also sprinkled throughout the show will be segments with Rabbi Abba Perlmutter of Chabad of Long Beach. Known for his charismatic and humorous style, Rabbi Perlmutter will be conducting a series of short interviews with interesting personalities from the Conejo community.
“In these rather confusing and disheartening times – and especially with what’s been going on in the Ukraine and Eretz Yisroel – I think that there is a clarifying, uplifting, and unifying story to be told,” said Rabbi Moshe Bryski, Executive Director of Chabad of the Conejo. “It’s a story of the Rebbe’s vision and message of Ahavas Yisroel being dynamically played out within a burgeoning Jewish community in an unlikely suburban area between Los Angeles and S. Barbara.
“As we did last year to the delight of thousands of viewers, we will utilize modern technology and high production values to tell that story in entertaining and engaging fashion.”

A motion-activated sprinkler scared a young deer, causing it to jump through the living room window.
The sprinkler, outside this family's West Seneca, New York home, is meant to keep deer and rabbits from eating the plants of their flower bed. It runs from 6pm to 6am. At 5:48am on Memorial Day, the sprinkler activated due to sensing the motion of the deer. The family was out of town and later came home, finding a mess of glass and deer hair in their living room.

Avraham Fried Sings "Nishmas" For Rebbetzin's Refuah
A moving scene took place at the Yom Yerushalayim celebration at Yeshivas Mercaz HaRav on Sunday, June 7, 2022.
Avraham Fried sang the song Nishmas Kol Chai for the refuah of Rebbetzin Lau, the wife of Chief Rabbi Rav Dovid Lau, at the request of the emcee Yedidya Meir.
Rav Lau couldn’t attend the event but he sent two representatives, his son-in-law Naftali Adler and his youngest son Yehudah. Yehudah, who sat next to Fried throughout the evening, sang together with Fried on the stage.
The public is asked to continue davening for Rav Lau’s wife, Feiga Tzipporah bas Hadassah l’refuah sheleimah b’toch shaar cholei Yisrael.

Laya is in Critical Condition... Immediately After Birth
Laya is in critical condition after her liver ceased to function immediately after birth.
I gaze at her through the glass incubator, tears blurring my vision.
I reach inside with a gloved hand to touch her.I ache to hold her tight, to cradle her, to kiss her.
But she’s attached to a respirator and more tubes and wires than I can count.
I can hardly make out her sweet face from behind it all…
right.
It’s 5 months now.
5 months since the NICU became home.
5 months, when every morning I wake up in terror that she didn’t make it through the night.
I’m already a mother for 5 months now, but I’ve never yet tasted the wonders of motherhood.
Laya is our first child. She was born on time, but right away, the doctors realized that something wasn’t right.They put her through a battery of tests which revealed that her liver function was practically zero.
Then, 5 months after receiving the painful news, all her body systems collapsed.
From one frenzied minute to the next, we were told to travel abroad for emergency surgery. And thus, we found ourselves packing our bags and boarding a plane to save our Laya’s life.
We went with no money in our pockets, but endless tefillos in our hearts. Somehow, some way, we’d make this happen.
Because Laya is only 5 months old, and she deserves to live!
We’re here in America now, waiting with bated breath for a liver transplant.
Until now, Laya’s odds of survival were slim, but now, with the right treatment, her chances are significantly improved!

Over 20,000 people streamed to the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia on Sunday night to celebrate the historic partnership between BMG yungeleit and baalebatim, an initiative led by philanthropist R’ Lazer (Louie) Scheiner.
The 4-hour plus event, filled with joyous dancing, singing, and inspiring messages from gedolim, stressed the importance of the lomdei Torah who bring bracha to the world, subsequently enabling the machzikei Torah to support and empower them in their learning.
Speakers included BMG Rosh Yeshiva HaRav Malkiel Kotler shlit”a, HaRav Dovid Cohen, and HaRav Ephraim Wachsman.

Hanochas Even Hapinah for Bobov-45 Beis Medrash
June 8, 2022 is a day that will live long in the memories of Bobov-45 Chasidim and the entire Boro Park community. On this day, the Chasidus officially embarked on an unprecedented and historic project to build a new Beis Medrash and kehillah headquarters that will be among the largest anywhere in the world.
17 years after the Rebbe assumed the mantle of leadership, thousands of Chasidim, young and old, from near and far, gathered to witness this momentous occasion and share in the great simcha as they witnessed these ambitious plans formally become a reality. At the designated time, the crowd, joined by many members of the general Boro Park community and led by a dais seating the leading Rabbanim and gedolim in our midst, began streaming to the center of town at 14th Ave. and 49th St., site of the massive construction efforts.
This video offers viewers a glimpse at this historic event and a lens into the great joy experienced by Bobov-45, as well as the entire community who stands to benefit from this new center of Torah and tefilah, during this monumental time.
