Police Force Push-Ups Instead Of Fines

Amusing footage shows traffic police making two teenagers do push-ups on the roadside after they were caught riding motorcycles without helmets.

The lads were pulled over in Samut Prakan on the outskirts of Bangkok on December 7. But after complaining to the officers that they had no money on them to pay the fine, the two cops came up with a different punishment.

The policemen waved the 500 baht (12GBP) fine and watched the lads do push-ups on the pavment before sending them on their way, telling them to wear their helmets in future.

Driver Using Sidewalk to Pass Boro Park School Buses

A former New York State Assemblyman from Brooklyn has released a video of a driver purportedly using the sidewalk to go around parked school buses, coming within inches of young children.

Dov Hikind says the video was recorded at the Vizhnitz Cheder on 53rd Street in Borough Park, where the buses were dropping off children.

The kids can be seen walking toward the entrance when the driver approaches and waits for several to run in front of the vehicle before speeding past them.

"Such behavior is outrageous, wild, reckless, and unacceptable," said Hikind, who represented the district for 36 years.

He is calling on the NYPD to take action.

"The video evidence and license plate number have been forwarded to the chief of police of the 66th Precinct," he said. "The community is demanding the arrest of this sick individual who unnecessarily endangered the lives of children simply because he couldn't wait an extra few minutes behind a bus."

Hikind believes the driver lives in the neighborhood.

Police confirm that detectives are looking into the matter.

Moment Huge Avalanche Sweeps Through Ski Resort

Terrifying footage shows the moment holidaymakers skied for their lives as an avalanche swept through a popular Swiss resort, Yesterday Wednsday Febuary 19, 2019

A Frenchman, 34, whose job was to check to safety of the slopes, died overnight after being injured in the avalanche. Three others were rescued after being swept away as a torrent of snow swept through Plaine Morte, a glacier near the town of Crans-Montana.

Footage captured by one of the skiers on their GoPro shows the moments shortly before the avalanche crashed down from the top of the mountains, as skiers desperately tried to avoid being crushed.

Skiers are seen enjoying their time on the slopes just moments before the avalanches starts.

The person filming the moments leading up to the avalanche appear in no rush as they put on their gloves before making their way down the hill.

As they set off, a deep crash is heard in the background and the skier turns around, revealing a white cloud of snow hurtling towards them.

The person speeds up down the hill and seems to encourage others to do the same.

Nearly 250 rescue workers , medics, police officers and military personnel took part in the search, backed by eight helicopters and a dozen search dogs. Searches continued throughout the night but were halted on Wednesday morning.

The cause of the avalanche remains unclear. Nearly half of the 920-yard long avalanche made a direct hit across the ski slope. Leger said one possible cause for the avalanche could have been triggered by the passage of a skier.

NHL Commentator Close Call with Ice Hockey Puck

That was close.

A puck came within inches of striking NBC Sports analyst Pierre McGuire in the head during a National Hockey League match in the United States.

McGuire’s position ‘Inside the Glass’ nearly cost the ice hockey broadcaster his life during Monday night’s clash between Columbus Blue Jackets and Tampa Bay Lightning.

The wayward puck went whizzing past his head, with a stunned McGuire raising his hands to his head.

The look of shock on a Lightning player’s face as it went past said it all.

Helicopter Crash Landing From Inside & Outside

Terrifying moment a tourist helicopter suddenly plummets to the ground and rolls onto its side when the pilot loses control of the aircraft in Argentina.

The clip, filmed in Valle de Uco in Tupungato, captures the helicopter as its pilot attempts to make an emergency landing near to the San Antonio ranch.

But as it approaches the ground, the aircraft suddenly leans to the right and crashes into the grass - momentarily rolling onto its side as its rotor blades smack against a fence.

Another clip, recorded inside the helicopter, shows the pilot and a passenger as a blaring alarm sounds moments before the crash.

The La Puntilla helicopter had been taking two American tourists on a panoramic tour of the area when the pilot, Walter Quiroga, noticed something was wrong and decided to perform an emergency landing.

Mr Quiroga then appeared to lose control when the helicopter suddenly dropped to the ground with a crash and the camera turned black.

Emergency services were called as soon as the helicopter lost contact with Francisco Gabrielli airport, reports said.

Firefighters, Civil Protection officers and a police helicopter were used in the rescue effort to reach the San Antonio ranch.

Paramedics attended to the three people who were inside the helicopter - but none of them needed to be hospitalised.
