Slabodka Niggun - Joey Newcomb & Naftali Kempeh

I was in Europe with the heiligeh Bais Medrash Ohr Gedalia chevra, visiting and learning about the various places of our people’s past. We were in the streets of Slabodka after having toured the famous Slabodka Yeshiva building, speaking over the inyanim of mussar for which the Yeshiva was most well-known. Standing there with the talented Yaakov Beer, he and I began learning the first words of the Mesilas Yesharim - יסוד החסידות ושורש העבודה התמימה - It didn’t take long we took out our guitars, and right outside the great yeshiva with all the chevra, this deep niggun was born.

Moshe Mendlowitz & Naftali Kempeh - Ma Enosh

Dovid HaMelech looks to the heavens and exclaims, "When I see Your heavens, the work of Your hands, the moon and the stars which You have set there, I am then confounded, what is Man that You should mention him, or consider him of any worth?! Yet by infusing him with a neshamah, You created him only a tad lower than the heavenly angels, and You crowned him with majesty and glory.

The Gemara in Shabbos explains this passuk in the following manner: מה אנוש כי תזכרנו... Although Man is nothing when compared to angels, ותחסרהו מעט מאלקים...., by giving him the Torah, thereby crowning him with glory, he is able to surpass the level of even the heavenly angels.

Lechu Dodi - Malchus, Zanvil, Kempa, Falkowitz, Dovi

First time ever in history!

Malchus Choir, Zanvil Weinberger, Naftali Kempah, Levi Falkowitz, Dovy Meisels, Aron Razel - Being ‘Mekabel Shabbos’ in the holy city of “Tzfas”!

Between these magical walls and ancient alleys have gethered an international ‘all star cast’ to be “Mekabel Shabbos” in song. ‘Zanvil Weinberger’ curled up in high notes, ‘Naftali Kempah’ in the Yeshivish style, ‘Levi Falkowitz’ took a flight all the way from New York together with the king in Kumzitz ‘Dovy Meisels’, last but not least we had ‘Aron Razel’ join us as well and made the way up to ‘Tzfas’.

There’s no better place to perform such a medley heart stirring and also uplifting oldies, then just to sing it here in “Tzfas”, the city in which the Heilige ‘Reb Shlomo Alkabetz’ who wrote the holy piyut of ‘Lechu Dodi’ lived. These melody’s were collected and put together as one by the famed ‘Pinchus Bichler’ of ‘Malchus Choir’ and a very phenomenal performance was born.

In this medley of oldies brought together from old Chassidishe Tzadikim, marches from Dziakov and dance melodies from Vurka, folk tunes by R. Shlomo Carlebach that became an integral part of the life of the piyut 'Lecha Dodi', alongside selected artistic pieces that came from Vizhnitz, Yiddish rhymes that were engraved for the piyut sang in Bobov, alongside the beloved ‘Boee Beshulom’ by R’ David Werdyger, from the compositions of R. Yankel Talmud, who concluded the creation.

In the middle, between the arched gates and the typical stone houses, the old men and residents of the city fill the floating alleys, as they are watched preparing for ‘Shabbos’ spreading its wings over the city; Its ancient synagogues are being prepared for Shabbos, with a group of Klezmer musicians playing the ‘Lechu Dodi’ piece in the background.

The musical arrangement was completed to perfection by the maestro ‘Yehuda Galili’, the video was directed & edited by ‘Hershy Segal’ number 1 in the Heimish Community in this field, and was produced by ‘Michoel Tzi’. Project Management, Digital PR by Avremi Goldstein, Digital PR in USA by Arrange It Media, MIxed by Chaim Moses, Filmed by Yosef Shlust.

Sheyafutzu - Naftali Kempeh - TYH Nation

The Ba’al Shem Tov is the founder of a movement that forever changed the landscape of Yiddishkeit. In a letter to his brother in law, Reb Gershon Kitover, he describes an experience he had on Rosh Hashana 5507(1746) where, in a moment of incredible deveykus, he experienced Aliyas Neshama and encountered the soul of Mashiach.

The Baal Shem Tov cried out:
"אימתי קאתי מר?"
"Mashiach! When are you going to finally come?”
“When is our master, מר, going to usher in the Geulah?”
Mashiach answered him: " לכשיפוצו מעיינותיך החוצה" (Mishlei 5:16)
When your wellsprings—your deepest waters—spread outwards, that is what will bring Mashiach.

We know that our Holy Torah is compared to Water. Mashiach was guaranteeing that as soon as the wellsprings of Torah burst forth and spread throughout the world, it would be the time to reveal himself and bring the Geulah.

These words became the driving force behind a renewed and passionate connection to HASHEM and His Torah, that the Baal Shem Tov began to proliferate throughout the world.

Every time a Yid learns Torah or experiences the joy of fulfilling a mitzvah, deepens their connection to HASHEM, or works on bettering their middos, that Yid is part of this mission, to spread the wellsprings of Torah and hasten the coming of Mashiach.

This song was written to express how important it is to allow OUR מעינות, OUR wellsprings, to overflow and spread outwards, and actively be a part of welcoming the Geulah into our lives.

Zacharti - Naftali Kempe, Motti Feldman, Motti Illowitz

Composed arranged and produced at The side yard studio
Yiddish lyrics: Written by Motty Illowitz

In memory of Shmuli Silverberg z”l, a bachur we lost too soon. Shmuli embodied Torah and the geshmak that it gave him. He was continuously working to achieve the highest level that he can and through that inspiring other

bachurim to succeed in learning. There’s no other message that Shmuli would want to give over other then keep at it, keep shteiging, no matter how difficult it may be, continue to persevere and make Hashem proud.

Shmueli Sha’ah is a learning program dedicated leilui nishmas Shmuli. One hour a day that a bachur chooses to set aside to learn leilui nishmas Shmuli will be greatly rewarded for their commitment and part in this meaningful cause.
