Candidate Pepper Sprays Himself in Gun Control Ad

Democratic candidate for Colorado’s 6th congressional district on Denver’s east side recorded a video in which he blasted himself in the face with pepper spray to promote non-firearm methods of self-defense.

Levi Tillemann is a Denver businessman and the former special adviser for policy and international affairs at the U.S. Department of Energy under the Obama administration. Tillemann took on a painful and hyperbolic stunt in order to differentiate himself from Democratic opponent Jason Crow as he seeks to win the June 26 primary and ultimately try to replace the seat currently held by Republican Michael Coffman. Tillemann released a video Friday touting “non-lethal self-defense tools” for teachers in lieu of recent proposals that educators should be given firearms to defend classrooms from school shooters.

Bnei Menashe Arrive in Israel

225 members of the Bnei Menashe community from the state of Manipur in northeast India will complete their aliyah through Shavei Israel this week.

Upon their arrival in Israel, the immigrants will move to the absorption center in Kfar Hasidim, and upon completion of the absorption process will move to the Galilee.

The Bnei Menashe community in India sees itself as descendants of the tribe of Manasseh, one of the ten tribes that were expelled from the Land of Israel more than 2,700 years ago by the Assyrian Empire. Members of the community speak a language which belongs to a family of Sino- Tibetan languages spoken in northeastern India, where most of the Bnei Menashe live - in addition to eastern Bangladesh and western Burma.

"We are happy and excited to receive 225 members of the Bnei Menashe community who are returning home to Israel," said Michael Freund, founder and founder of Shavei Israel, "We are in the midst of a very busy year for us - and this is only the beginning. 429 members of the Bnei Menashe community have already made Aliyah since the beginning of January 2018, and we are determined to continue our historic mission until the last remaining members of the community in India can return to Zion."

Fox News Profiles Chasidic Jews & Tech

Part 2: Many Hasidic Jewish communities in New York and neighboring New Jersey forbid the use of smartphones, social media and technology. Why? The answer may come from a watershed moment in the Hasidic culture, where ultra-Orthodox Jewish leaders held a summit in Citi Field to condemn technology.

Trump and Kim Sign Declaration of Friendship

Kim Jong-un affirmed an 'unwavering commitment to complete denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula' in a sign document on Tuesday, President Donald Trump says. 'We're prepared to start a new history, and we're ready to write a new chapter between our two nations,' Trump said at a press conference in Singapore. Pyongyang's nuclear weapons program will come to an end, he predicted, noting that Kim had already left Singapore and was on his way home to begin implementing their joint vows.  'I believe he's going to live up to that document,' Trump said, adding that 'our eyes are wide open, but peace is always worth the effort, especially in this case.'

ABC News George Stephanopoulos spoke to President Donald Trump in an exclusive interview about his historic meeting with Kim Jong Un.

Officer Rescuing Toddler Running Along Busy Highway

Naperville Police Sergeant Anthony Mannino has seen a lot in his 20-plus years on the job, but nothing quite like what saw while patrolling a busy highway several weeks ago.

From a distance, he thought the figure moving near Route 59 was some kind of animal. Then as he drew closer, Mannino realized it was actually a toddler wandering dangerously close to traffic. He responded quickly, parking his squad car to block traffic and pulling the little boy to safety.

The toddler had snuck away from his mom, who arrived moments later. She told the sergeant he had made it about two blocks from their home before he was saved by the quick-thinking cop. No charges were filed against the mother, and police ruled the incident was an accident.

As a thanks for his heroism, Sgt. Mannino received a life saving service award from the department.

No charges were filed. Police said it was an accident.

Historic: President Trump Meets Kim Jong-un

President Donald Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un shook hands and smiled as they started a historic summit on Tuesday, just months after they traded insults and threats of nuclear war.

For both men, the summit, the first between leaders of North Korea and the United States, is likely to be a defining moment of their careers.

The meeting would have been unthinkable last year when tensions spiraled in the region over North Korea’s nuclear and missile programs as it raced toward the goal of developing a nuclear-tipped missile capable of hitting the United States.

Trump vowed to prevent that happening and threatened North Korea with “fire and fury like the world has never seen”. He mocked Kim as “little rocket man” on a suicide mission.

Kim denounced the U.S. president as the “mentally deranged U.S. dotard” who would be “tamed ... with fire”.

Fox News Profiles Chasidic Jews & Education

This is the first of a three-part series by FOX News on insular enclaves of ultra-Orthodox Jews, the struggles they face and the controversies that follow them.

Part 1: Some Americans may not realize that Hasidic Jews shun many common secular practices widely accepted across cultural and national borders, including the basics of education. For example, there are several yeshivas, or Hasidic Jewish schools, in the New York area that only teach subjects in Yiddish. Previous yeshiva students share the impact of these practices in their lives.

Ben Torah - Hershy Rottenberg and Shira - Music Video

The Baal Ha’Tniyeleh is now a Ben Torah

He’s been biking to events for quite a few years, with a guitar on his back and a passion for music. He’s been singing and entertaining crowds with famous tunes, and from time to time, sharing compositions of his own. Hershy Rottenberg, a 34 year old Belzer Chassid residing in Belgium, has been blessed with incredible talent and an incredible dose of sincerity to match. He’s content to sing to his heart’s content and bring pleasure to his community.

But on Tu B’Av 2017, his song Tniyeleh turned Hershy into a public name. His catchy songs traveled across the Jewish music world, the simplicity of his lyrics relevant to every Yid. Tniyeleh, Tov Li, Hamalach, Adon Olam, Kadeish Urchatz, and Lo Luni were all released within a period of nine months.  Hershy took the music scene by storm, literally.

And he’s not done yet! Hershy is now a Ben Torah, his official debut release.
