Beyond being a heartfelt, inquisitive song, Ad Mosai is a musical stampede battering against heaven’s door in search of deliverance and redemption.
To capture that cascade of intentions and inflections, child soloist Avrum Chaim Green and Shira Choir’s finest voices teamed up at a recent event in Brooklyn. Under the graceful hand of musical director Mendy Hershkowitz, the gifted Sababa Band transported the song to an eerie, yearning place, as the vocalists built atop each other and inspired each listener to join them in asking: Until when?
Song originally recorded by Amram Adar
Composed by Yoel D. Goldstein & Yitzy Waldner

Rearranged and Directed by Mendy Hershkowitz
Sung by Avrum chaim Green & The Shira Choir

Jewish Owned Ride Sharing Startup On ‘Shark Tank’
When the now 25 year-old Isaac Deutsch came to Zoli Honig in January 2015 with an idea for a free, electric, car-sharing service, Honig, now 29, told his friend, “You’re nuts! It’s not going to work.”
But within one year the pair had launched WaiveCar, a service which allows users to locate a nearby electric car via an app and drive it for up to two hours for free, thanks to the paid advertisements on the car. Only one month later, they received an email from the executive producer of the hit ABC investment reality show “Shark Tank.” Honig and Deutsch appeared on the sixth episode of the season this past Sunday night.
"Shark tank" is a reality Television show where budding entrepreneurs get the chance to bring their dreams to fruition. They present their ideas to the sharks in the tank -- five titans of industry who made their own dreams a reality and turned their ideas into lucrative empires. The contestants try to convince any one of the sharks to invest money in their idea. When more than one of the sharks decide they want a piece of the action, a bidding war can erupt, driving up the price of the investment
In an interview this week with the Forward, Honig remarked how his parents were initially as reticent as some of the sharks. “My parents are, I guess you’d say, from an older generation, and when I got into startups they didn’t quite get what I did,” he says. One of Honig’s earliest businesses was a frozen yogurt store, and he later created and sold the education technology company Chalkable. But with Waivecar’s success has come gradual parental approval. “They were very proud, and very impressed that their college dropout son was so well-spoken,” Honig laughs.
The episode of “Shark Tank” was taped over a year ago, and Honig and Deutsch have continued to strike deals ever since, including a campaign with Buzzfeed and a recent deal with Hyundai Motor America which will provide 150 electric cars and advertising for 12 months.
Honig says WaiveCar will start by expanding its Los Angeles presence. “New York is on our short-list,” he adds.

Bedside Kumzitz for Toronto Man on Life Support
With tremendous support from the community, the family of Yochai Shalom Nethanel Ouanounou won a crucial victory in a Toronto court on Wednesday, when they convinced a judge to issue an interim injunction to prevent doctors at Humber River Hospital from taking Ouanounou off of life support R”L.
Yochai Shalom Nethanel, 25, is breathing with the help of a respirator, after suffering a cardiac arrest brought on by a severe asthmatic attack on Septempber 27. Doctors say he is clinically brain dead and thus want to “pull the plug,” removing him from essential life support. A death certificate has already been issued, in line with the generally accepted position of the Ontario medical community that the statutory definition of death is cessation of brain functions. Water Main Break Creates Geyser in Crown Heights
Water shot stories into the high, at one point up to 50 feet, so forceful it uprooted a tree, after a huge main break in Brooklyn on the street near Albany Avenue that submerged part of Crown Heights and forced dozens of people from their homes before dawn.
At least two buildings were evacuated as water flooded the street just before 5 a.m. Thursday. Three hours later, it was spouting just as ferociously. The pressure had started to drop shortly before 9 a.m., the mess—major sidewalk damage and debris all over the road—lingered.

Latest on the New York City Terror Attack
The driver of a truck which mowed down innocent people in New York on Tuesday, killing eight and injuring at least 13, pledged his allegiance to ISIS before the attack and had been planning it for weeks.
Sayfullo Habibullaevic Saipov, 29, remains in custody in the hospital after being shot in the stomach by an on-duty NYPD officer at Chambers Street in Tribeca on Tuesday afternoon.
At a press conference on Wednesday morning, New York City officials revealed he followed the instructions of ISIS fanatics 'to a t' when he plowed through cyclists and pedestrians on the West Side Highway on Tuesday at 3pm.
Nine people remain in hospital with serious injuries including one person who has undergone an amputation. Eight people died including six foreign tourists, five of whom were from Argentina and one who was Belgian. The other two victims were American.
Saipov spoke to police from his hospital bed at Bellevue Hospital on Tuesday night. Sources said he appeared 'proud' throughout the interrogation. In the Home Depot truck which he used to carry out the attack, police found handwritten notes in Arabic of the 'gist' that 'ISIS would endure forever.'
Saipov immigrated to the US in 2010 and had addresses in Florida, Ohio and New Jersey. He ran his own truck sharing companies in the past but had spent the last six months working as an Uber driver.
The ride-sharing app is now cooperating with authorities as is Home Depot in Passaic, New Jersey, where he is believed to have rented the truck used in the attack.
The FBI is appealing for witnesses to send photographs and videos they captured of the attack to them in order to aid investigations.
On Wednesday, investigators in hazmat suits continued sorting through evidence at the scene. Bicycles remained discarded or crumpled on the ground after being crushed by Saipov's truck which has not been moved since it came to a stop.
2017 has been marked by deadly vehicle terror attacks across the globe. A look back at those attacks from Jerusalem, Paris, and London to New York City

Drone Captures Capsizing Boat & Daring Rescue
A drone captured video of a boat capsizing in Jupiter Inlet, Florida, and a daring rescue in the rough water by a nearby 13-year-old surfer. The drone pilot, Kevin Cadby, was flying his drone at Jupiter Inlet to capture video of the water and the boats, as he occasionally does. He saw the boat coming in from far out and decided to follow the boat with his drone, he said. “The wind was blowing in at 20+ miles per hour, that inlet can be treacherous,” Cadby said.
As the drone flew over, video shows a wave coming from behind the boat, toppling it, and a man in a red shirt trying to swim to safety and stay afloat. The man swam to a group of rocks and a 13-year-old surfer, Sam Ruskin, swam over to him and offered him his surfboard, which the boater used to get back to land. “My first concern was to make sure nobody else was on the boat,” Cadby said, and he continued to follow the boat and look for other people using his drone. Ruskin, a middle school student, told the local news "everything happened so fast," but he paddled out to the man immediately when he saw what happened. “Just speaks about his character,” Ruskin’s father said.

Terrifying Failed Crosswind Landing at Airport
This is the terrifying moment a plane had to abort landing after 50mph winds bounced it along the runway.
The Enter Air flight was supposed to land at Salzburg Airport in Austria, But with such fierce winds blowing, even at high speed the pilot was unable to land the aircraft.
Nail-biting footage captures the moment the Boeing B7370-800 battles its way through crosswinds to reach the runway - but when it gets there the wheels bounce off the tarmac and it has to head skyward again.
The pilot was reportedly forced to fly the plane to Frankfurt, where passengers had boarded less than an hour beforehand.

How a WWII-era Forger Saved Thousands of Lives
How a WWII-era forger saved lives, one fake document at a time
Adolfo Kaminsky isn't a well-known hero, but thousands of Jews in France during World War II owe their lives to him
It's well known the French government collaborated with the Nazis during World War Two, helping send tens of thousands of Jews to their deaths. What is less well known are the heroic efforts by members of underground resistance groups to save Jews in France. Many of those who risked their lives are now gone or have been reluctant to share their stories. 92-year-old Adolfo Kaminsky was a Jewish teenager when he joined the French resistance. He had a unique talent he had picked up while working at a dry cleaners, an expertise that helped him become one of the greatest forgers in France during the war. Incredibly, he and the resistance networks he worked with created fake identity documents that helped save the lives of as many as 14,000 Jewish men, women, and children.
Hitler's army entered Paris with a massive show of force. German troops marched past the Arc de Triomphe and raised the Nazi war flag over a stunned city. Hitler personally attended the surrender ceremony. The Nazis took control of Paris, but relied on French authorities and police to begin to identify Jews and round them up. As part of Hitler's final solution, tens of thousands of Jews, and others targeted by the Nazis in France were arrested and loaded onto trains bound for Auschwitz and other concentration camps.
French resistance networks tried to save as many Jews as possible -- especially children -- giving them fake identity papers and smuggling them across the border -- or hiding them in farms, schools and convents in France. Adolfo Kaminsky was just 18 when he began to work as a forger for the resistance.

Bike on Water
A New-Zealand firm is creating an electric bicycle for riding on lakes, rivers and the ocean.
Pedal-power propellers push Manta5’s Hydrofoiler XE-1, which the company says can achieve lift with two carbon fibre hydrofoils that act like the wings of an aircraft.
Still in development, the bike itself is buoyant (also made from carbon fibre) and contains a battery and 400w motor, giving an hour of pedal assist or full throttle propulsion.
