Dad Pranks Son with Autopilot
There are plenty of wonderful uses for autopilot technology, but leave it to a dad to figure out the best one is pranking his son - and putting a video of his terrified kid up on the internet.
The autopilot software on Tesla's Model S includes the ability to 'summon' the unmanned car, at which point it will slowly drive up to the owner, opening up garage doors if it has to.
The video, shot using a GoPro camera positioned near the steering wheel of the car, shows the owner's son engrossed in his cell phone when the car's engine starts up.

Weather Observer Attempts to Stand in 100 MPH Winds
A man braved below-freezing temperatures at the top of Mount Washington - only for a powerful gust of wind to send him flying through the skies of New Hampshire.
Mount Washington, which is part of the Presidential Range, is the tallest peak in the northeast of the US, standing at 6,288 feet.
It seems stuck in an eternal winter - and visitors who climb to the top are usually met with cold temperatures and chilly winds even during warmer seasons.
Weather observers Mike Dorfman and Tom Padham can be seen stepping out on Monday for a brief high-flying break, in a video published by the Mount Washington Observatory.
Temperatures at the top of Mount Washington reached 26.2 degrees on Tuesday at 6,288 feet and 29.6 at 5,300 - both below the freezing threshold.
Winds had reached 109 mph by the time the two men stepped out on Monday.

Funeral of Satmar President Yitzchok Rosenberg
Thousands of men, women and children turned out this morning in Williamsburg to pay their respects to the president of the Satmar congregation, Reb Yitzchok Rosenberg, who died tragically yesterday in Miami.
The 67 year old Rosenberg was one of two men who drowned after being caught by a riptide while swimming at an unattended beach. 66 year old Kiryas Joel resident Chaim Parnes was the second fatality in yesterday’s tragic events.
The streets around Congregation Yetev Lev were jammed with mourners who came to honor Rosenberg, a noted philanthropist and a pillar of the Satmar community, who was also a successful businessman and real estate developer.
After the funeral in Williamsburg was completed, Rosenberg was taken to Kiryas Joel, where thousands more waited to pay their final respects before burial in the Satmar cemetery.

Man Climbs Up 1000 Feet Mountain Without a Rope
A British climber has become the first person to solo climb Jordan’s iconic 350-metre-high Pillar of Wisdom.
Leo Houlding, 5-year-old from Cumbria, scaled the giant sandstone tower in Wadi Rum - also known as the Valley of the Moon - in the south of the country. The natural structure rises out of the Jordanian desert at an incredible 350 meters, making it larger than the Eiffel Tower.

Kiryas Joel Residence on Presidential Politics
As the general election nears, and it increasingly looks like a Clinton/Trump face-off, Kiryas Joel – a fast-growing Orange County community comprised of more than 20,000 Hasidic Jews – offers a microcosmic view into feelings voters from every culture and neighborhood around the country are experiencing.
“They’re all stupid, that’s why I’m voting for Hillary,” said one smiling young man about to vote in his first presidential primary and echoing the sentiments of village leaders, who endorsed the democratic front runner.
“When Trump said the system is rigged, I do agree with him,” said another area resident, reluctant to speak on camera.
“To begin with, I wasn’t a Trump supporter,” said Chiam, who arrived to vote with his young son in tow. “I did vote for Trump. The [Republican] system is a disaster.”
“They need some change,” said KJ resident Aaron Spielman, co-founder of the Orthodox Jewish Public Affairs Council which does not necessarily concur with his political affiliation and owner of the twitter account @JewsForTrump, who believes in the auburn-haired businessman. “He said he’s going to surround himself with many experienced people, and he’s ready to listen to them. So, it’s not going to be only Donald Trump making decisions, actually, there’s going to be a lot of people with experience, with the background, [for him] to take the advice [from].”
“Trump hasn’t really spoken about the Constitution in a clear and present way that [Ted] Cruz did,” said Rabbi Joseph Kolokowski. “There’s talk of Cruz coming back, and I can only hope.”
“If I’m an independent, I can’t vote,” said KJ resident Yitz Farkas, who recently switched from the Republican party and could not participate in the primary; he must wait for the dust to settle, and the frontrunners to take control before palpably expressing his political opinion.

Cop & Citizens Rock Burning SUV to Free Trapped Man
An Anchorage police officer and a group of bystanders rescued a man trapped in a burning car that rolled over Sunday in East Anchorage, the department says.
Police were notified of a single vehicle rollover on Middlerock Road at around 4 p.m.
“The vehicle was lying on its right side down an embankment and the engine was on fire,” police wrote in a statement. “The sole occupant, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was inside on the passenger side with his arm stuck under the vehicle.”
Police say Officer Veenstra was first to arrive at the scene and discovered that a witness had already broken out the vehicle’s sunroof to allow the man trapped inside to breath. Veenstra and the witness were soon joined by two other bystanders.

Tragedy in Satmar: President and Friend Drown in Miami
VIN News - Miami, FL - A well known real estate developer and renowned member of the Satmar community was one of two who died this morning in the Atlantic Ocean in North Miami Beach.
Yitzchak Rosenberg, owner of Certified Lumber in Williamsburg and owner and developer of several properties in Williamsburg, was pronounced dead on the scene after a riptide unexpectedly swept the group out into the ocean.
The second man was identified as Chaim Parnes, a diamond dealer who was robbed of $35,000 worth of merchandise, pistol whipped and had his tires slashed on a Thanksgiving 2015 visit to North Miami,
“If (you) take away life, (it) doesn’t come back,” Parnes said. “So I’m thankful for God. Today’s Thanksgiving. I’m giving up big time for God that I’m alive.”
The two were among a group of five visitors from Kiryas Joel and Brooklyn who were at Haulover Beach on 140th and Collins Avenue. There were no lifeguards present in the area where the men were swimming, with signs posted warning beachgoers to swim only in guarded areas and warning of the dangers of rip currents, according to Erika Benitez, public information officer for Miami Dade Fire and Rescue.
Both funerals are expected to be held Today in New York.

Journalist Eats His Own Words
A journalist has kept his promise of literally eating his words if Donald Trump clinches the Republican presidential nomination as the scribe consumed a nine-course meal featuring newsprint from his column.
Washington Post columnist Dana Milbank in October last year wrote a column predicting the demise of the 69-year-old billionaire's presidential ambitions. The headline of the column read, "Trump will lose, or I will eat this column." "Literally: The day Trump clinches the nomination I will eat the page on which this column is printed in Sunday's Post," Milbank wrote last year.
Milbank delivered on his headline's promise on Wednesday. The Washington Post carefully curated a nine-course meal to document the occasion including newspaper chilaquiles, dumplings, falafel, steaks, the way Trump likes them, and even a Trump Tower-inspired taco bowl.
The dishes, prepared by the head chef at Washington's Del Campo restaurant, Victor Albisu, creatively incorporated newspaper pages into the recipes -- with some of the ink "mercifully well-ground" into the steak's chimichurri sauce, or sprinkled into the guacamole topping the taco bowl, or mixed into the chickpeas of the falafel,

Entire Village Helps Their Neighbours Move Home
Moving house is usually an arduous task involving months of planning and high costs.
But for this lucky owner it could not have been easier - except instead of relocating to a new property their entire house was quite literally moved to a new address. An amazing video, captured in what is presumed to be Indonesia, shows the entire building being lifted up off of the ground.
At the start of the footage an army of locals are marshaled by a leader who gives the signal to begin.
The villagers promptly raise the wooden house on some stilts. Then rather rapidly they march the house to the other side of the field before the footage cuts out.
Moving wooden houses is an ancient custom in Indo-China, as long as the building is light enough to carry. In most cases properties are relocated to avoid impending floods or landslides.

Snake Raiding Bird's Nest - ?שילוח הקן
From The Up-loader: "found a bird’s nest in their front yard and decided to put a camera nearby to capture the moment when the eggs would finally hatch. Sadly, that moment never came after a sneaky snake found the nest and made the eggs its dinner."
Credit must be given to the sneak for waiting for the mother bird to leave, in accordance with the laws of Shiluach Hakan. Although the oriole is not Kosher to eat due to a lack of a Mesorah, it nevertheless is categorizes as a kosher bird where the Mitzvah of Shiluach Hakan may be fulfilled!
