Entire Village Helps Their Neighbours Move Home

Moving house is usually an arduous task involving months of planning and high costs.

But for this lucky owner it could not have been easier - except instead of relocating to a new property their entire house was quite literally moved to a new address. An amazing video, captured in what is presumed to be Indonesia, shows the entire building being lifted up off of the ground.

At the start of the footage an army of locals are marshaled by a leader who gives the signal to begin.
The villagers promptly raise the wooden house on some stilts. Then rather rapidly they march the house to the other side of the field before the footage cuts out.

Moving wooden houses is an ancient custom in Indo-China, as long as the building is light enough to carry. In most cases properties are relocated to avoid impending floods or landslides.
