Disguised Israeli Commandos Raid West Bank Hospital

Security forces entered Al Ahli hospital in Hebron early on Thursday and arrested 20-year-old Azzam Shaldallah on suspicion of stabbing and seriously injuring an Israeli civilian on October 25.

A video emerged of the arrest operation showing the Israeli forces in plainclothes disguised as a family coming to the hospital with a woman in labor. In the video, the group of men can be seen pushing another operative in a wheelchair who pretended to be the woman giving birth.

Special forces from the Border Police, combined with the Shin Bet intelligence agency and the IDF entered the hospital to arrest Shaldallah, and came under attack from one his relatives. Security forces shot and killed the relative before leaving the hospital with the wanted terrorist, the Shin Bet said.

Shaldallah, whose family is made up of Hamas operatives, was shot by the civilian he stabbed on October 25, but was able to flee the area.

The director of the Hebron hospital, Jehad Shawar, told Palestine radio that 20-30 men had arrived at the clinic in two mini vans.

"They held the staff at gunpoint and stormed the room of Shaldallah," Shawar said.

His cousin, who was in the bathroom, was shot dead when he suddenly entered the room, Shawar said.

"They took Shaldallah and placed him in the wheelchair they brought the woman in and they exited the room preventing anyone from giving medical aid to the young man laid on the floor," the director told the radio station.

Shaldallah's brother Bilal, who was asleep in vigil alongside him, told Reuters he was tied to the bed by the Israeli forces.

The Shin Bet said in a statement that security forces "will not allow safe refuge for terrorist operatives, whoever they are."

Geese Block Traffic on a Chinese Highway

Chinese commuters had a novel excuse for being late for work after an enormous gaggle of geese wandered onto a motorway and brought traffic

Police officers were left in a flap after two farmers shepherded their flock of 1,300 birds right across the Hubei section of the Erenhot-Guangzhou highway in central China,

Neither farmers nor geese took much notice of passing traffic as they strolled along the treacherous highway on November 5, even as drivers beeped their horns loudly in their direction. When police officers arrived at the scene, they attempted to shift the birds into one lane and place traffic cones around them to divert oncoming cars.  However when some of the geese starting breaking clear of the pack and wandered back into the path of trucks, the police ordered the farmers to get their birds off the road as soon as possible.

According to the two owners, they chose to walk the geese across the highway to save time and money rather than transporting the geese using vehicles.

Shira Choir Singing "Im Hashem" of Rechnitz Goes Viral

It was just over two years ago when Los Angeles businessman and philanthropist Mr. Shlomo Yehuda Rechnitz released his new composition "Im Hashem Lo Yivneh Bayis." Mordechai Ben David was the first to sing it, during a Chol Hamoed Sukkos evening at congregation Shaarei Torah on L.A.'s La Brea Avenue.

Just over a week later, Shraga Gold, founder of the Shira Choir, celebrated the Bar Mitzvah of his son. Partaking in the Simcha was the entire cast of the Shira Choir, paying respect to their friend and enhancing the night with their voices. They sang through the night without any help at all of a single live instrument, in accordance with a special community agreement, to not splurge on musical expenses at Bar Mitzvah celebrations. Among the many other melodies performed that night, the Shira Choir sung this beautiful, yet unknown new melody of "Im Hashem" for the very first time.

A recording of that performance was uploaded to the legendary Shiezoli channel on YouTube, the largest Chasidic video channel on the Internet, and was featured here on Gruntig.net on that same day.

It wasn't until almost a year later that it became noticeable this video was generating an exceptional amount of interest, with the number of views gradually climbing, reaching several hundred thousand views. It was later revealed that this viral turn, had ironically begun deep inside Russia and Ukraine's non-Jewish community. Moreover, during the summer months of 2015, a video of a christian acappella group from Lithuania chanting the Hebrew verses during a live concert, made its way around Jewish blogosphere and Whatsapp groups around the world.

Then, just last week, in a matter of literally days the video suddenly spiked another few hundred thousand, soaring beyond one million views and can now be found on every corner of the world wide web.

While many in the Jewish orthodox community seem to react this phenomenon with both confusion and wonderment,,Yahoo, AOL, MSN and everything in between, all seem to agree that there is something unique and special about this clip.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Below is a clip of students in LDS Business College, Salt Lake City enjoying the video. From the up-loader: "This took place in Utah, before our class starts we watch YouTube videos that are either very popular, or we have something to learn from. We are studying Social Media Marketing. We talked briefly about how faithful the Jewish community is to their faith. Not to mention how well they sing."
Another video, this time from France. He writes: "I try a traditional Jewish song, although I do not speak or understand Hebrew".
Car Wash Worker Brush with Danger
He can laugh at it now, but Pitstop Carwash manager Josh Hood had a brush with serious injuries last month during a routine cleaning of a Slidell, Louisiana car wash.
Hood said he was spraying down the inside of the car wash when the hose he was using got caught on one of the brushes, Hood can be seen on security video spinning around as he holds on to the big brush. Eventually, an employee helped Hood out of the car wash.
Hood wasn’t seriously injured, but he did get some road rash on his legs.
Raccoon Fights Cat with Sprinkler
A wild raccoon got its own back on a grumpy neighborhood cat by spraying it with the garden sprinkler.
The comical scene between the two critters was caught on surveillance cameras in Burnaby, Canada.
The amusing 30-second clip begins with footage of the grey-haired mammal sniffing around at the top of a flight of stairs at the back of a house. clearly annoyed that his territory is being invaded a dark brown-coloured feline - undeterred by the fact the raccoon is double his body size - lashes out and shows his claws.
Startled, the raccoon then runs down the steps, shakes his fur and then trots onto the garden lawn.
Keen to get his own back he skulks towards the sprinkler that is watering the grass lawn.
Using his paws, the mischievous animal fires a jet of water at the cat who is observing him from the top of the stairs.
The Unconventional Route up the Eiffel Tower
Watch vertigo-inducing GoPro footage of British daredevil walking along narrow beams at the TOP of the Eiffel Tower - after he evaded security to scale the 1,063ft landmark from the ground
This incredible footage was taken at the top of the Eiffel Tower by daredevil James Kingston - before he was handcuffed and arrested by French Police.
The clip shows the British freerunner walking along the frames of the magnificent structure at dizzying heights after he had scaled it from the bottom.
After reaching the top platform, around 900ft above the ground, the 24-year-old's curiosity got the better of him, and after opening a door to the inside, he was spotted by security officials.
He still managed to find somewhere to hide, however, along with some friends, they gave themselves up to security some eight hours after beginning the challenge.
They were marched down to the base, where he was arrested by the police in the stunt that took place in November 2014.
Skier Miraculously Survives 1,600 Foot Fall
A skier is lucky to be alive when he toppled 1,600 feet down a sheer mountain face after losing his footing in the snow.
Heart-stopping video footage captured Ian McIntosh's incredible escape as he rolled uncontrollably down the Neacola mountain range in Alaska, crying out in pain each time his body is bashed on the ground. onlookers watch in horror as Ian tumbles at speed, losing his ski equipment along the way.
But amazingly, the lucky skier sits straight back up at the end of his terrifying fall, shouting: "I'm OK, I'm OK!"
Afterwards, Ian said that he had fallen into a five foot-deep trench on one of his first turns which had caused him to lose his balance "From there, my slough took over and there was no way to stop, I pulled my airbag to help prevent against any possible trauma injuries as I tumbled to the bottom," he said.
But as he desperately attempted to regain his footing, Ian carried on falling, cartwheeling a terrifying 1,600ft in under a minute.
The extent of his injuries after the fall are not detailed.
Monroe Residents Approve Kiryas Joel Annexation
Monroe residents voted in a special election Monday on the fate of Kiryas Joel's annexation.
Fifty-two registered Monroe voters living in the 164-acre area up for annexation in the Hasidic village cast their ballots at the Aishes Chayil Women's Services Center on Chevron Road. The measure passed with 40 votes in favor of annexation and 12 against it.
The vote is supposed to be the final step of the annexation, but a state Supreme Court lawsuit filed by Orange County and multiple municipalities has the deal on hold.
Critics allege Kiryas Joel's environmental impact study on the land deal was "rushed" and "flawed," and say the annexation's high-density housing plans are wrong for the rural area.
Kiryas Joel leaders say their impact study on the annexation was thorough and considered thousands of public comments.
The state Supreme Court's decision on the annexation is expected to take months, but appeals could ultimately cause the matter to linger in courts for years.
See Where NYC’s Manhole Covers Come From
In her documentary Cast In India, filmmaker and anthropologist Natasha Raheja travels to a dirt-floor factory in Howrah, India to show where and how our city's manhole covers are made. She told National Geographic in an interview earlier this year that the subject matter interested her because the objects "are an iconic and ubiquitous part of New York City’s urban landscape. I became curious about how these pieces of city anatomy are made. I wanted to learn more about the labor infrastructure concealed in the built infrastructure of our cities."
Her observational piece also shows the "disparate conditions that shape the geographies of production and consumption of everyday urban objects." Below, watch as barefoot workers stomp the shape into these 300-lb metal covers that we walk over every day.
Obama, Netanyahu Meet First Time Since Iran Showdown
President Barack Obama and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Monday insisted they had not given up on the pursuit of Middle East peace, even as the prospect of an elusive agreement between Israelis and Palestinians appears further out of reach.
Obama and Netanyahu's meeting at the White House marked the first time the two leaders have talked face to face in more than a year. Their relationship has long been marred by tension, with the most recent being the U.S.-backed nuclear deal with Iran.
Ahead of Netanyahu's arrival in Washington, U.S. officials made clear the White House does not expect peace to be achieved before Obama leaves office in January 2017.
Monday's meeting comes amid a fresh burst of violence between Israelis and Palestinians. Israel has accused Palestinian political and religious leaders of inciting the violence, while Palestinians say the violence is due to a lack of hope for gaining independence after years of failed peace efforts.
Monday's meeting was clouded by the controversy following Netanyahu's appointment of a new spokesman who has spoken derisively about Obama. Ran Baratz, a conservative commentator, has suggested in Facebook posts that Obama is anti-Semitic and Secretary of State John Kerry cannot be taken seriously.
Uziya Tzadok "Habet" Previewing New Album
A few weeks after Shlomo Yehuda Rechnitz wrote "El Hanaar Hazeh" in memory of his sister in law, who was niftar a few weeks before the Bar Mitzvah of her Bechor, a friend of his sent him a video of a relatively unknown child soloist named Uziah Tzadok singing "Ima", a song that also relates to one's mother who was niftar.
"I was spellbound. I've never heard a child with such a talented and beautiful voice" reminisces Shlomo Yehuda. "From all the old tapes and YouTube clips, I've never heard a child, who's Neshama pierced the listeners Neshama in such a profound way".
Unfortunately for the Ashkenazi Oilam, his repertoire of songs only included Yemenite and Sefardishe Niggunim without a very big captive audience.
In that vain, Shlomo Yehuda had him learn 13 or 14 slow classic Ashkenazi Niggunim.
They recorded 10 to create an album named מטעם גן עדן which will be released within the next few weeks.
Attached is one of the songs, Habeit which was composed by the talented Abie Rottenberg.
Stunning Video of Jetmen Flying Besides Airbus A380
Forget flying inside a plane - these daredevils have taken air travel to the next level.
Jetman, Yves Rossy, and Jetman Junior, Vince Reffet, took to the skies to record the hair-raising stunt, which saw the duo flying beside an Emirates A380 passenger plane over the Dubai skyline.
The incredible footage shows the pair soaring above the clouds at speeds of up to 120mph with nothing but jet-packs 4,000 feet off the ground.
The video starts off looking like an advertisement for the world's largest passenger plane, however 20 seconds in - Rossy and Reffet appear above the jets wings.
The pair, who were deployed from a helicopter that hovered above the aircraft at 5,500 feet, then conduct formations on both sides of the aircraft before joining on one side and then breaking away.
Sporting their Jetman custom built flight suits - which weigh almost 55kg and have a wing span of two metres - they flew over the likes of the Palm Jumeirah, the Dubai skyline and the Burj Khalifa.
Learn how the Emirates Airbus A380 and Jetman Dubai flew together in a breathtaking formation flight over Dubai to make aviation history, in this behind the scenes video.
Over the last three months, Emirates and the Jetman Dubai teams worked closely to diligently plan and coordinate every detail of this project.
News from Israel Sunday November 8 2015
A civilian security guard on Sunday November 8, shot a female Palestinian assailant who stabbed and lightly wounded him, as he stood at his post, just outside the Betar Illit settlement, which is located a short distance away from Jerusalem.
The incident was caught on the municipalities security cameras. An emergency dispatcher had noted the Palestinian woman, 22-year-old Halva Aliyan from nearby Beit Lehem, which is just across the road from the settlement. She was dressed in traditional black garb, with a scarf covering her head walking toward the gate of the city, with a population of 47,000.
The dispatcher alerted the security guard who then stopped her and asked to see her identification card.
As the guard focused on checking her card, Aliyan slowly reached into her purse and pulled out a knife. She then lunged at the guard and quickly tried to stab him.
The security guard was evacuated to Shaare Zedek Medical Center in Jerusalem and the Aliyan was taken to Hadassah University Medical Center in Jerusalem’s Ein Karem.
Starving Polar Bear Makes Do-Or-Die Stalk on Seal
A desperate polar bear makes an incredible stalk on an alert, but unsuspecting seal in this stunning film.
Did you know that polar bears succeed, on average, in only about one of every twenty hunts? When a bear is as malnourished as this one appears to be, the margin for error is very small indeed.
The attention to detail and focus of this starving bear’s stalk is incredibly intense. She ingeniously considers the wind direction, her own silent and deliberate movement, and the position of a young seal lying on an ice raft.
The climax of the hunt is far more exciting and dramatic than one might think possible for a three-minute video.
The video is a segment from the “In the Grip of the Seasons” episode of the BBC series The Hunt.
