Multiple Stabbings in Israel as Violence Continues
Stabbing Attack at Shmuel HaNavi Street in Jerusalem
A 16-year-old Yeshiva Student was stabbed on Shmuel HaNavi Street in Jerusalem. The attacker fled. The victim is reported to be in light condition. Police spokesman: The victim was punched in his face by an Arab. The victim took off after the attacker who fled. The victim did not feel the light stab wound in his upper body. B’chasdei Hashem his injury appears relatively minor.
Police later arrested an Arab male who answers to the description of the attacker.

A female terrorist attempted to stab a soldier at the Afula central bus station Friday afternoon, in the fourth stabbing incident in under four hours. Initial findings revealed that the female terrorist made her way inside the central bus station, and pulled out her knife by a soldier on the platform.
Upon identifying the threat, two Border Police officers opened fire at the terrorist, shooting towards her lower body in order to neutralize her.
She is being treated for moderate wounds.

Search For Five Towns Jewish Man Missing Since Monday
Family and friends of Yosef Gerson, 29, the Lawrence man who has been missing since Tuesday, are offering a $20,000 reward to anyone who can help police find Gerson.
A Silver Alert has been put out for Gerson, who suffers from cognitive disorder and is in need of his medication, was last seen in Woodhaven, Queens on Tuesday at 4 p.m. wearing a gray sweatshirt, dark pants and a blue baseball cap with a Hebrew Yankees Insignia. He is 5-feet, 11-inches, 130 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. Gerson speaks English.
Parents Alan and Wendy Gerson issued this statement:
"There isn’t much to say other than we are heartbroken. Our dear 'Yossi' has vanished without a trace and we are asking and begging everyone everywhere to be our eyes and ears in the hopes that somebody has seen something. Whether you are in the Five Towns, Queens, Brooklyn or beyond, we ask you to share this information with anyone that you can.
"Yossi needs to be found quickly so he can get the proper medical care from his doctors and resume what had been a wonderful and successful medical school path.
If anyone has any information, call Nassau County Missing Persons at (516) 573-7347, Achiezer at (516) 791-4444 or Shomrin at (917) 727-7306.
Update: Boruch Hashem Yosef has been located in good health.

High School Kicker Kicks Extra Point Off Referee's Head!
Texas high school football refs just don't seem to be getting along with players lately. Midland Lee kicker Luis Aranda lined up for an extra point — but kicked it straight off a referee’s head and up through the uprights. The other two refs looked confused, but eventually put their arms up and signaled that the kick was good.

Palestinian Violence Continues to Spreads
The spike in violence between Palestinians and Israelis shows no signs of abating, with three stabbing attacks reported Thursday October 8 2015
25-year-old yeshiva student was seriously injured and another man lightly injured in a terror attack early Thursday afternoon at the Jerusalem light rail station in front of national police headquarters near Ammunition Hill.
Magen David Adom teams on scene at Haim Bar Lev Road treated the seriously injured man and brought him to Shaare Zedek Medical Center in the capital, where he is now in surgery.
The hospital reported the student arrived in critical condition, was subsequently sedated and breathing through a respirator.
The man lightly injured has also been brought to Shaare Zedek Medical Center for treatment.
An initial police investigation revealed the terrorist, 19-year-old Tzuvhi Ibrahim Mahmad Abu Halifa from Shuafat in eastern Jerusalem, approached the light rail station, stabbed the haredi student in the neck with a knife and tried to escape.
In Tel Aviv, an Israeli female soldier was stabbed with a screwdriver, allegedly by a Palestinian. Another soldier shot the attacker dead. The attack left four people lightly wounded, including the soldier.
In the Kiryat Arba village of the West Bank holy city of Chevron, an Israeli man was in serious condition after being stabbed in the stomach, Samri said. Israeli security forces are still looking for that attacker.

It’s an amusing spectacle, at first glance, because the critter looks more like a human in a bear costume. But the animal is clearly undernourished, and walking on its hind legs because of apparent injuries to its front paws.
The bear has been spotted several times in Oak Ridge, where residents have nicknamed it “Pedals,” in reference to the term bipedal, used to describe four-legged animals that use only two legs for walking.
According to Fox 5 News, locals want the bear captured and taken to a sanctuary, where it can receive care. A Facebook page has been established so fans can follow developments, and a Go Fund Me page has raised more than $13,000 toward paying for any effort to catch and care for Pedals.
The Orphaned Wildlife Center in Otisville, New York, has offered to accept Pedals, but so far the New Jersey Division of Fish and Wildlife is choosing to let the bear remain wild.

IDF Cracking Down on Palestinian Criminal Escalations
A video released Wednesday, showed how undercover IDF soldiers dressed as Palestinians helped stop a riot outside Beit El, near Ramallah, in the West Bank.
The footage showed the plainclothes soldiers drawing their weapons and then arresting three people. An Israeli military spokesperson said that around 350 Palestinian protesters hurled rocks and firebombs at the Israeli forces. They also rolled burning tires and aimed fireworks at troops, she said, adding that the troops reportedly heard shooting.

Small Dog Chases Bears
A 20-pound French Bulldog is being called a hero after scaring off three bears outside her home in Monrovia, California.
On Friday afternoon, two bears believed to be about a year old each wandered into the home's front yard. A third bear was on the balcony, just out of range of the security camera.
The family guard dog, Jules, wasn't deterred by being outsized and outnumbered as she quickly went after the bears and scared them off her turf.
