Judge & Burglary Suspect Have Emotional Court Reunion

A Miami-Dade judge and one of her old middle school classmates had an emotional reunion in court after he was arrested following an alleged burglary and police pursuit.

Arthur Booth, 49, was arrested Monday by Hialeah Police on several charges including burglary, grand theft, fleeing, and resisting arrest.

On Thursday, he went before Judge Mindy Glazer in bond court. Glazer, recognizing Booth from their days at Nautilus Middle School, asked if he had gone there.

"Oh my goodness, oh my goodness," Booth said, as he covered his head and began crying.

"I'm sorry to see you there, I always wondered what happened to you sir," Glazer said, as Booth continued crying. "This was the nicest kid in middle school, he was the best kid in middle school. I used to play football with him, all the kids, and look what has happened." Booth continued to repeat "Oh my goodness" as Glazer gave him words of encouragement.

"I am so sorry to see you there. Mr. Booth, I hope you are able to change your ways, good luck to you," she said. "What's sad is how old we've become. Good luck to you sir, I hope you are able to come out of this ok and just lead a lawful life." According to an arrest report, Booth was spotted driving a gold Honda Accord that was a vehicle suspected of being involved in a home burglary. When an officer tried to stop the Accord, Booth took off, and a pursuit began, the report said.

Booth ran stop signs and was involved in two accidents before crashing the car in the area of Northwest 36th Street and North River Drive, the report said. Booth fled on foot but was caught a short time later, authorities said. Booth's bond was set at $43,000. It was unknown if he's hired an attorney.

The Smartest Cows in the World

I Can Be - Yaakov Shwekey - Music Video

About the Song:

Almost twenty years ago my wife Jenine and her best friend started The Special Children's Center from a one-room apartment. Back then they were just teenagers with a dream to change the world, one child at a time. They felt a tremendous need for special children to have a place to flourish, to receive the care and attention they need, and to wrap it up in happiness. With the help of so many believers, that endeavor grew into a multi faceted Center for more than three hundred special children across three locations. While there is no end to the demand, there is also no end to their determination. While traveling and performing all over the world for the last fifteen years I’ve seen with my own eyes the gift that music can give and the depths it can reach. The power is within every one of us… you can be anything, no matter what challenges you face. That is the magic of love, and the magic of this song. It is for you, the children and staff of the Center, and for you, all children around the world -- each of you is precious, you can be anything. This song is for you.

Father Sings at Son's Funeral

חייב אדם לברך על הרעה כשם שהוא מברך על הטובה - משנה, סדר זרעים  מסכת ברכות פרק ט, משנה ה

Eliezer Rosenfeld, father of 26-year-old Malachi Rosenfeld who was fatally wounded in a terror attack Monday evening, delivered a heart-rending farewell to his son at his funeral Wednesday.

During the eulogy, the grieving father - supported by two of his remaining seven children - sang a song of faith.

"Even in the most concealed of concealed moments"' sang the bereaved father "certainly G-d, blessed be He, is also found there."

Amid sobs from other mourners, he urged his tearful audience to sing with him as he reached the words: "Even behind the most difficult things that happen to you, He (still) stands, He stands - and we will stand, we will stand with G-d."

Malachi Rosenfeld, 26, from Kochav Hashahar, was one of four men shot at close range by gunmen in a passing car near Shvut Rahel, some 45 km. north of Jerusalem, shortly after 11 on Monday night. More than a dozen bullets were fired into the vehicle, killing Rosenfeld and wounding three of his friends.

The family is no stranger to loss.

Thirteen years ago, on March 29, 2002, Malachi's eldest brother, Lt. Yitzchak-Menachem Rosenfeld, 22, was killed in a jeep accident in the Tze'elim Stream, in the Judean Desert. He was a pilot in the IAF.

Yitzhak-Menachem was named after his uncle, Sergeant Yitzhak-Moshe Rosenfeld, who was also killed during his military service, in 1978.

"The Beinoni" 1983

Singing the "Beinoni" at a Farbrengin with the Lubavitcher Rebbe. On 12 Tammuz, 5743 – June 23, 1983.

The previous Lubavitcher Rebbe, Rav Yosef Yitzchok, called this song "Der Beinoni" after the personality profile described in the Sefer Tanya Kadisha. The Beinoni is the name given to one who constantly strives in his service of Hashem. He struggle against his selfish drives and always wins the battle. But unlike the righteous man, his evil inclination is alive and well, and he must continuously fight it. The melody called The Beinoni reflects this struggle.

Camera Breaks World Record with Optical Zoom

How powerful is an 83x optical zoom lens?

Answer: so powerful you can actually see the moon moving while standing on the surface of the Earth.

Photographers have been going wild with Nikon’s Coolpix P900, which comes armed with a ludicrous, insane, over-the-top 83x zoom lens built in.

This video shows the photographer zooming in on the moon, which is barely visible in the initial shot so closely you can see movement.

Family's Close Encounter When Grizzly Climbs Car

A grizzly bear got up close and personal with a family in Montana and it was all caught on camera.

David Peters said he and his family were heading home from Yellowstone National Park on June 19, when they spotted a few bears wandering near the highway. He decided to stop his car to take some pictures and videos of the bears.

"They were just grazing mostly on the grass and weren't bothering anybody," Peters said. "Then one of the bears decided to check out one of the cars across the street and he did. Then he dropped down and bee-lined right for our vehicle."

Peters said the experience of having the bear was more exciting than scary.

"It wasn't really scary for me and my wife; we'd seen bears before," Peters stated. "The bears didn't show any sign of aggression, they were more curious than anything else."

His car has a few minor scratches and mud smears thanks to the bear's paws.
