Drones Sacrificed for Incredible Active Volcano

Drones and incredible cameras made this spectacular video footage of an active volcano in Vanuatu possible. National Geographic shared the footage of explorer Sam Cossman and his team, who operated the DJI Phantom 2 Vision+ with GoPro cameras while capturing high-definition images of the amazing, yet deadly Marum Crater. The team piloted the drones over the 12-kilometer caldera while faced with toxic gases and boiling lava. Sadly two drones succumbed due to the intense temperatures, however the team was able to bring back video and thousands of photos that will help scientists learn more about the volcano and the life around it.

Cackling Baby

This adorable Russian baby may have a cute and innocent-looking face. But as soon as they find something funny, their sinister laugh makes them sound like an evil super-villain from a Hollywood film.

The footage shows the baby appearing to be sitting in a car seat and as the camera films their face. The infant obviously finds something amusing as a big smile spreads across their face before bursting into a fit of giggles. But rather than a high-pitched child-like chuckle, the youngster lets out a long, evil sounding cackle. They then pause for a second and it looks as though they may cry but after they are laughing again in their own unique way.

Hatzolah of Queens

Queens Hatzolah was founded in 1978. After witnessing the success of Chevra Hatzolah in Brooklyn, seven Queens residents decided to bring the organization to our neighborhood. In 1979 we began transporting patients by station wagon and in 1981 we purchased our first ambulance. From these humble beginnings, we have grown into our current multi faceted organization with top-of-the-line training, equipment, and ambulances.

Drone Reveals Birds Eye View Of Icy Hudson River

How long before you can walk to Brooklyn? Manhattan is encased in the worst ice for a decade as river freezes

Freezing temperatures in New York have left large stretches of the iconic Hudson River an impenetrable ice, Ferry operators on East River have described the winter as the worst they have experienced in 28 years, Ice sheets caused the suspension and the shutting down of services between Manhattan, Queens and Brooklyn,

Experts say 2015's record low temperatures have resulted in conditions even colder than during 2014's Polar Vortex The U.S. Coast Guard has nine boats cutting a path through the ice which Is up to 1.5 feet thick in parts 300 vessels travel the Hudson River during the winter months, carrying more than 10 million barrels of petroleum Temperatures on the Hudson have been around 1 or 2 degrees, with a wind chill of minus 20 degrees at times In the 1800s the Hudson would regularly freeze over, but salinity of the water now stops it happening

Drone footage captured on Sunday reveals a unique perspective of the Hudson River,

Man Ejected From Car During Crash, Survives

A dashcam video released by the Ohio Highway Patrol shows a man being thrown from his vehicle after he lost control and crashed while driving in icy conditions on Interstate 90 in January.

The Cleveland resident, Edward Wallace, 26, escaped with minor injuries, but OHP released the video as a warning to motorists to drive carefully when roads are covered with snow and ice.

According to a report on the Jan. 12 crash from Cleveland police, Wallace was driving too fast for the conditions on I-90 westbound near Neff Road in his 2005 Ford Explorer.

He lost control and struck the rear of a 1986 Ford Crown Victoria driven by Dean Bell, 61, of Sheffield Lake. Wallace's car hit the concrete barrier on the left and the wheels of the Explorer actually went on top of the barrier. It then went across four lanes and crashed into the barrier on the right, but not before ejecting Wallace out of the driver's side window and into the highway.

Wallace can be seen in the video staggering to his feet and making his way to the side of the highway.

Police estimate Wallace was traveling 70 mph in a 60 mph zone.

Wallace was treated and released at MetroHealth Medical Center for facial and back injuries. Bell was treated at MetroHealth for a concussion and back injuries.

Wallace was cited for willful wanton disregard for safety, the report shows.

European Rabbis Train Self Defense in Prague

Rabbis from European countries gathered in Prague Tuesday for training in self-defense and first aid in response to a wave of attacks against Jews and a rise of anti-Semitism on the continent.

In a stunning beginning of a training session, knives were distributed to dozens of rabbis, young and old, before receiving instructions and practicing what to do to survive stabbing and how to treat injuries.

Some occasionally burst out with a laugh but overall the rabbis took it seriously as it was prompted by fears after the deadly terror attack against a kosher grocery in Paris in January and the murder of a Jewish security guard outside a synagogue in Copenhagen earlier this month.

Tuesday’s training was part of an annual gathering of rabbis organized by the Rabbinical Center of Europe and the European Jewish Association

A lack of action from European governments to protect Jews in Europe has contributed to their decision to organize the training, first in Prague, and later in other European countries.

If police officers are not able to provide protection, guards appointed by Jewish organizations to protect Jewish sites should be allowed to be armed, organizers say

House Explosion Caught On Dash Cam

Police released dashcam video of a gas explosion that leveled an Ocean County, New Jersey, home, injured 15 people, and shook homes in every direction Tuesday morning, including one of a young mother.

Police received the initial call for an odor inspection in the Cedar Run neighborhood of the township near U.S. Route 9 around 8:55 a.m., about an hour and a half before the blast occurred, according to Stafford Twp. Police Captain Tom Dellane.

Officers, firefighters and emergency crews who were dispatched to the neighborhood, quickly confirmed a gas leak, called in the New Jersey Natural Gas Company and evacuated 75 nearby home.

Gas company employees were working on finding the source of the leak diagonally across from Lewis' home on Oak Ave. when the blast occurred, completely destroying one home and damaging many others. Dashcam video from a Stafford Township police cruiser shows the blast as it happened as workers and firefighters were next to the house.

Subsequently, a man in Russia has found a quick and effective way to completely rid of all the snow off of his SUV.  All you need is a car, a very loud stereo system, a child (not recommended)  Seriously, as ingenious as this is, we would at least recommend a pair of earplugs for the child

Rare Footage Of Chofetz Chaim At First Knessia Gedolah

Rare footage posted online Sunday appears to show one of European Jewry's greatest Torah scholars, Rabbi Yisrael Meir Kagan - more popularly known as the Chafetz Chaim - attending the First World Congress of the World Agudath Israel in Vienna.

The 10-day Congress took place in 1923, making the video nearly 100 years old.

An elderly Chafetz Chaim can be seen arriving at roughly 57 seconds in, alongside other leading Ashkenazic rabbis and community heads of his generation.

The Chafetz Chaim was perhaps the most important codifier of contemporary halakha (Jewish law) in the Ashkenazic world, and his magnum opus - the Mishne Berura - is still used today by many as a basis for halakhic rulings.

"Chafetz Chaim" was in fact the name of another of his more famous works, a masterpiece of Jewish ethics concerning the Torah's laws of speech that is widely read throughout the Jewish world.

Identifications of delegates may be incorrect.)
